Abstract
Description
(電解質1)
電解質として、所定量の塩化ナトリウム(和光純薬工業(株)製特級NaCl、純度99.5%)60.3gと純水939.7gとを混合し、6.0重量%NaCl水溶液である電解質1を製造した。
電解質1とポリアクリル酸ナトリウム(三菱化学(株)製)とを、重量比70/5となるように混合して電解質2を製造した。
純水とポリアクリル酸ナトリウム(三菱化学(株)製)とを、重量比70/5となるように混合して電解質3を製造した。
(負極1−a)
厚さ1mmのアルミニウム合金板(A5052)を縦50mm×横30mmに切断し、ワニ口クリップコードをリード線5としてアルミニウム負極1−aを作製した。
厚さ1mmのMg、Zn、In系アルミニウム合金を縦50mm×横30mmに切断し、ワニ口クリップコードをリード線(図示していない)としてアルミニウム負極1−bを作製した。
正極2は、集電体2−2として厚さ0.1mmのチタン製エキスパンドメタル(日健ラス工業(株)製)を縦40mm×横30mmに切断し、カーボンクロス((株)FFC−R&D製)を両面テープで貼り付けた後、酸素還元能と導電性を有する粒状ヤシ殻活性炭素2−1(和光純薬工業(株)製)をカーボンクロス上に敷き詰めて、針葉樹パルプ100%のろ紙で蓋をし、ワニ口クリップコードをリード線5として正極2を得た。
(アルミニウム空気電池A)
図3に示したように、作製した正極2をポリエチレン容器6の端から10mmのところにエポキシ系接着剤で固定すると共に、電解液の漏れ防止のシールをした後、正極から30mm間隔を開けて負極1−aをマスキングテープで固定した後、電解液を注液してアルミニウム空気電池Aを作製した。
図4に示したように、長方形の箱の側面2面に空気が通過する穴と、電解質3を入れる蓋8を上面に設け、蓋8は負極1−bが差し込める溝が彫られている。このようなABS樹脂製容器7を筐体とし、この筺体の内面に作製した正極2を10mmの間隔を持って対峙させた後、電解質3を詰め込み、蓋8をした後に、蓋8の溝から負極1−bを差し込んだアルミニウム空気電池Bを作製した。
次のような比較例1及び2、並びに、実施例1乃至3の条件で作製されたアルミニウム空気電池は、電解質を注液した後、33Ωの抵抗を接続した後、3日間の連続放電の実験を行った。これらの放電特性の評価結果は、表1及び図5に示す。
負極金属は上記アルミニウム負極1−aを、電解質は上記電解質1を、実験装置は上記のアルミニウム空気電池Aを用いた。

負極金属は上記アルミニウム負極1−bを、電解質は上記電解質1を、実験装置は上記のアルミニウム空気電池Aを用いた。

負極金属は上記アルミニウム負極1−bを、電解質は上記電解質3を、実験装置は上記アルミニウム空気電池Bを用いた。

Claims (12)
- アルミニウム又はアルミニウム合金を活物質とする負極と、酸素を活物質とする正極(空気極)と、中性水系電解質とからなるアルミニウム空気電池において、中性水系電解質が、高分子脂肪酸塩を水に溶解した電解質であることを特徴とするアルミニウム空気電池。
- 前記高分子脂肪酸塩が、高分子脂肪酸ナトリウム又は高分子脂肪酸カリウムであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアルミニウム空気電池。
- 前記高分子脂肪酸ナトリウム又は高分子脂肪酸カリウムが、アクリル酸ナトリウム又はアクリル酸カリウム、メタクリル酸ナトリウム又はメタクリル酸カリウム、及び、不飽和二重結合を有する単量体の中から選ばれる少なくとも1つ以上の単量体から合成される重合体であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のアルミニウム空気電池。
- 前記中性水系電解質が、中性塩化物と高分子脂肪酸塩とを水に溶解した電解質であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアルミニウム空気電池。
- 前記高分子脂肪酸塩が、高分子脂肪酸ナトリウム又は高分子脂肪酸カリウムであることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のアルミニウム空気電池。
- 前記高分子脂肪酸ナトリウム又は高分子脂肪酸カリウムが、アクリル酸ナトリウム又はアクリル酸カリウム、メタクリル酸ナトリウム又はメタクリル酸カリウム、及び、不飽和二重結合を有する単量体の中から選ばれる少なくとも1つ以上の単量体から合成される重合体であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のアルミニウム空気電池。
- アルミニウム又はアルミニウム合金を活物質とする負極と、酸素を活物質とする正極(空気極)と、中性水系電解質とからなるアルミニウム空気燃料電池において、中性水系電解質が、高分子脂肪酸塩を水に溶解した電解質であることを特徴とするアルミニウム空気燃料電池。
- 前記高分子脂肪酸塩が、高分子脂肪酸ナトリウム又は高分子脂肪酸カリウムであることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のアルミニウム空気燃料電池。
- 前記高分子脂肪酸ナトリウム又は高分子脂肪酸カリウムが、アクリル酸ナトリウム又はアクリル酸カリウム、メタクリル酸ナトリウム又はメタクリル酸カリウム、及び、不飽和二重結合を有する単量体の中から選ばれる少なくとも1つ以上の単量体から合成される重合体であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のアルミニウム空気燃料電池。
- 前記中性水系電解質が、中性塩化物と高分子脂肪酸塩とを水に溶解した電解質であることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のアルミニウム空気燃料電池。
- 前記高分子脂肪酸塩が、高分子脂肪酸ナトリウム又は高分子脂肪酸カリウムであることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のアルミニウム空気燃料電池。
- 前記高分子脂肪酸ナトリウム又は高分子脂肪酸カリウムが、アクリル酸ナトリウム又はアクリル酸カリウム、メタクリル酸ナトリウム又はメタクリル酸カリウム、及び、不飽和二重結合を有する単量体の中から選ばれる少なくとも1つ以上の単量体から合成される重合体であることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のアルミニウム空気燃料電池。
