TAC基材層(屈折率:1.49、厚さ:80,000nm)の一面に光配向層形成用組成物を乾燥後の厚さが約1,000Åになるようにコーティングし、80℃のオーブンで2分間乾燥させた。光配向層形成用組成物としては、下記化学式Aのシンナメート基を有するポリノルボルネン(分子量(Mw)=150,000)及びアクリル単量体の混合物を光開始剤(Igacure 907)と混合し、さらにその混合物をトルエン溶媒にポリノルボルネンの固形分の濃度が2wt%になるように溶解させて製造した組成物を使用した(ポリノルボルネン:アクリル単量体:光開始剤=2:1:0.25(重量比))。
液晶組成物の調剤時に上記化学式Bで表示される多官能性重合性液晶化合物55重量部及び上記化学式Cで表示される単官能性重合性液晶化合物45重量部を配合したことを除いて、実施例1と同一の方式で液晶フィルムを製造した。
アミン化合物として多官能性及び単官能性重合性液晶化合物100重量部に対して0.7重量部の3−ジメチルアミノプロピルアミンを使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同一の方式で液晶フィルムを製造した。
アミン化合物として多官能性及び単官能性重合性液晶化合物100重量部に対して1重量部のジエチルアミンを使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同一の方式で液晶フィルムを製造した。
アミン化合物として多官能性及び単官能性重合性液晶化合物100重量部に対して0.5重量部の3−(N−プロピルアミノ)プロピルトリメトキシシランを使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同一の方式で液晶フィルムを製造した。
液晶組成物の調剤時にアミン化合物を使用しないことを除いて、実施例1と同一の方式で液晶フィルムを製造した。製造された液晶層を撮影した写真は、図3に示した。
液晶層の耐久性は、実施例及び比較例により解製造された液晶層に対して耐久テスト後に発生する位相差値の変化率を測定して評価した。具体的には、液晶フィルムを横及び縦の長さが10cmになるように裁断して製造された試験片を耐熱条件である80℃で100時間または250時間放置した後、上記耐熱条件に放置される前の液晶層の位相差値に対して放置後の位相差値の減少量を百分率で換算し、下記基準によって評価した。位相差値は、Axomatrix社のAxoscanを利用して製造社のマニュアルによって550nmの波長で測定した。このような測定の結果、耐熱条件で100時間及び250時間放置後の位相差値の変化量がすべて8%未満の場合は、「O」で表示し、耐熱条件で100時間及び250時間放置後の位相差値の変化量がいずれか1つである場合でも、8%以上の場合は、「X」で表示した。その結果を下記表1に整理した。

- 水平配向液晶化合物として、多官能性重合性液晶化合物、及び、上記多官能性重合性液晶化合物100重量部に対して1重量部〜90重量部で含まれる単官能性重合性液晶化合物、並びに、

上記化学式3で、L1及びL2が単一結合であり、R16及びR17が互いに連結され、一緒に下記化学式4のリンカーを形成しており、当該化学式4のリンカーで、La、Ld及びLeが単一結合、Lbが単一結合、−O−、−C(=O)−、−NH−または−CONH−であり、Lcが炭素数1〜12のアルキレン基であるか、
上記化学式3で、R16及びR17が−L3−Si(R18)n(OR19)3−nまたは−L3−N(R18)−L3−Si(R18)n(OR19)3−nであり、L1及びL2がそれぞれ独立して単一結合または下記化学式4のリンカーであり、且つ当該化学式4のリンカーでLa、Lb、Ld及びLeが単一結合であり、Lcが炭素数1〜12のアルキレン基であり、上記でL3が炭素数1〜12のアルキレン基であり、R18及びR19がそれぞれ独立して炭素数1〜12のアルキル基であるか、又は、
