Claims (5)
- 合口(2)を備え非円形に形成したピストンリング(3)の光隙間密閉性を測定する方法であって、
開いたピストンリング(3)を、合口(2)を十分に閉じながら補助手段(1’)上で円周方向に張設し、
ピストンリング(3)の少なくとも一方の合口端部(5、6)の領域において、規定の力(F)を補助手段(1’)の壁部(4)に向かって加え、前記力作用(F)を、少なくとも1つの合口端部(5、6)に向かって、半径方向内側から及ぼし、
その際光学手段(9、10)を使用して、前記力作用(F)を受けたピストンリング(3)の合口領域(5、6)が、前記補助手段(1’)の壁部(4)に光隙間密に当接しているか否かを判定することを特徴とする、ピストンリングの光隙間密閉性測定方法。 - 前記各合口部(5、6)を0.5〜50Nの力(F)で、チェックリングとして構成される前記補助手段(1’)の壁部(4)に押圧することを特徴とする、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記力(F)を、必要に応じて回転可能であり、前記各合口部(5、6)に対し半径方向に当接可能な少なくとも1つのローラ(7)によって加えることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2記載の方法。
- それぞれ1つのローラ(7)が、所属する合口端部(5、6)に作用することを特徴とする、請求項1から3のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記各合口端部(5、6)に作用する2個の押圧部材(12、13)を有する剛性体(11)が、前記合口端部(5、6)に対し半径方向に当接可能であることを特徴とする、請求項1から3のいずれか1項記載の方法。
