Claims (13)
- 医療器具を形成する方法であって、
細長い外側部材と該外側部材の細長い内腔内に配置された細長いコア部材とを有する細長い複合ワイヤを、該複合ワイヤの長さに沿って該複合ワイヤを複数の方向に曲げることによって、ステント内腔を規定するパターンに成形するステップと、
前記外側部材を貫通する開口部を形成するステップと、
前記パターンに前記複合ワイヤを成形するステップの後に、前記外側部材に悪影響を与えることなく前記コア部材を前記外側部材から除去するように前記コア部材と反応するエッチング液に、前記複合ワイヤを曝すステップと、を備えている、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記コア部材が、取り除かれた後に、前記外側部材の前記管腔を治療物質で満たすステップをさらに備え、前記治療物質はオプションで抗血管新生剤、抗有糸分裂剤、抗炎症剤、抗血小板物質、抗凝固剤、抗フィブリン剤、抗トロンビン剤、抗増殖剤、抗生物質、抗酸化剤、および抗アレルギー物質だけでなくそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記外側部材は、MP35Nから形成され、前記コア部材は、モリブデンから形成され、前記エッチング液は、過酸化水素である、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記外側部材は、ニッケルチタン合金またはステンレススチールから形成され、前記コア部材は、金から形成され、前記エッチング液は、三ヨウ化カリウムである、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記外側部材は、アルミニウム合金またはステンレススチールから形成され、前記コア部材は、銅から形成され、前記エッチング液は、硝酸である、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記外側部材は、MP35Nから形成され、前記コア部材は、タンタル、タングステン、モリブデン、ニオブ、レニウム、炭素、ゲルマニウム、およびシリコンのうちの1つから形成され、前記エッチング液は、キセノンジフルオリド、または三フッ化臭素である、 請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記外側部材は、プラチナ、イリジウム、チタン、およびタンタルからなる群から形成され、前記コア部材は、ニッケルから形成され、前記エッチング液は、一酸化炭素である、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記外側部材は、ステンレススチールまたはニッケルベースの合金から形成され、前記コア部材は、チタンまたはジルコニウムから形成され、前記エッチング液は、ヨウ素である、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記コア部材は、前記エッチング液の中では可溶性であるが、前記外側部材は、前記エッチング液の中では可溶性ではない、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記外側部材は、プラチナを備え、前記コア部材は、銀、金、および銅からなる群から選択され、前記エッチング液は、水銀を備えている、
請求項9に記載の方法。 - 前記外側部材は、タングステンを備え、前記コア部材は、アルミニウムを備え、前記エッチング液は、液体ガリウムを備えている、
請求項9に記載の方法。 - 前記複合ワイヤを処理するステップは、前記コア部材を昇華させるために、前記複合ワイヤをある温度に加熱することを含み、前記外側部材は、オプションで、モリブデンまたはタングステンを備え、前記コア部材は、クロムを備え、前記複合ワイヤは、真空において、クロムが昇華する温度よりも高い温度に加熱される、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記複合ワイヤを処理するステップは、前記複合ワイヤを、前記コア部材を融解させる温度まで加熱することを含み、前記外側部材は、オプションで、MP35N、チタン、タンタル、およびタングステンからなる群から選択され、前記コア部材は、マグネシウム、アルミニウム、亜鉛、金、および銀からなる群から選択され、前記複合ワイヤは、前記コア部材の融点温度よりも高いが、前記外側部材の融点温度よりも低い温度に加熱される、 請求項1に記載の方法。
