Claims (15)
- 可撓性材料で形成されロール状および/または折り畳みパッケージ(9)で提供される膨張式エアバッグ(1)と、前記パッケージ(9)の少なくとも一部の周りに延びるカバー(10)とを備え、前記カバー(10)による圧縮下で前記パッケージ(9)が保持される自動車安全装置のエアバッグユニット(23)において、
前記カバー(10)が、複数の高分子繊維(13a,13b)を含む延性布材料(12)で形成され、前記繊維(13b)の少なくとも一部が互いに融着されており、これによって当該ユニットが所定の安定形状に保持されていることを特徴とする、エアバッグユニット(23)。 - 前記布材料(12)が不織布材料である、請求項1に記載のエアバッグユニット。
- 前記複数の高分子繊維(13a,13b)が、複数の芯−被覆2成分複合繊維(13b)を含み、前記2成分複合繊維(13b)の前記被覆(15)が互いに融着されて前記所定の安定形状を前記ユニット(23)に与えている、請求項1または2に記載のエアバッグユニット。
- 前記2成分複合繊維(13b)がそれぞれ第1融点を有する高分子材料の内部芯(14)と、第2融点を有する高分子材料の外部被覆(15)を有し、前記第2融点が前記第1融点よりも低い、請求項3に記載のエアバッグユニット。
- 前記複数の高分子繊維(13a,13b)が、複数の単成分繊維(13a)も含む、請求項3または4に記載のエアバッグユニット。
- 前記単成分繊維(13a)が、前記2成分複合繊維(13b)の前記被覆(15)の前記融点よりも高い融点を有する、請求項4にかかる請求項5に記載のエアバッグユニット。
- 前記2成分複合繊維(13b)がそれぞれ、PETホモポリマーで形成された芯(14)と、PETコポリマーで形成された被覆(15)を有する、請求項3から6のいずれか一項に記載のエアバッグユニット。
- 前記単成分繊維(13a)がPETで形成されている、請求項5または6に記載のエアバッグユニット。
- 自動車安全装置のエアバッグ(1)をパッケージ化する方法であって、可撓性シート材料で形成される膨張式エアバッグ(1)を準備するステップと、前記エアバッグを丸く巻きかつ/または折り畳み、最初は可撓性であるカバー(10)で少なくとも部分的に包んで中間パッケージ(9a)を形成するステップであって、前記カバー(10)が複数の高分子繊維(13a,13b)を含む延性布材料(12)で形成されているステップと、前記中間パッケージ(9a)を同時に加熱加圧して、前記繊維(13b)の少なくとも一部が互いに融着している圧縮パッケージ(23)を形成するステップであって、前記圧縮パッケージ(23)が前記融着繊維(13b)により画定される安定形状を有するステップを含む、方法。
- 前記中間パッケージ(9a)を同時に加熱加圧する前記ステップの前に、前記中間パッケージ(9a)を金型キャビティ(17)内に配置するステップをさらに含み、同時に加熱加圧する前記ステップが前記金型キャビティ(17)内で前記中間パッケージ(9a)に対し実施される、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の高分子繊維(13a,13b)が、複数の芯−被覆成分複合繊維(13b)を含み、前記中間パッケージ(9a)を同時に加熱加圧する前記ステップが、前記2成分複合繊維(13b)の前記被覆(15)を互いに融着して、前記所定の安定形状を前記圧縮パッケージ(23)に与えるのに有効である、請求項9または10に記載の方法。
- 前記2成分複合繊維(13b)がそれぞれ第1融点を有する高分子材料の内部芯(14)と、第2融点を有する高分子材料の外部被覆(15)を有し、前記中間パッケージ(9a)を同時に加熱加圧する前記ステップが、前記布材料(12)を、前記第2融点よりは高いが前記第1融点よりも低い温度まで加熱することを含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の高分子繊維(13a,13b)が、前記2成分複合繊維(13b)の前記被覆(15)の前記融点よりも高い融点を有する複数の単成分繊維(13a)も含み、前記中間パッケージ(9a)を同時に加熱加圧する前記ステップが、前記布材料(12)を、前記単成分繊維(13a)の前記融点よりも低い温度まで加熱することを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記2成分複合繊維(13b)がそれぞれ、PETホモポリマーで形成された芯(14)と、PETコポリマーで形成された被覆(15)を有する、請求項11から13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記単成分繊維(13a)がPETで形成されている、請求項13に記載の方法。
