Description
(従来技術)
(i)トリヨードチロニン(T3)またはその生化学的類似体;ならびに
(ii)抗甲状腺剤による処置、放射性ヨウ素による処置および甲状腺の全部または一部の外科的除去からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの抗甲状腺処置
を施すことを包含する治療方法を提供する。
T3またはその生化学的類似体の剤形の第一包装、
少なくとも1つの抗甲状腺剤の剤形の第二包装、ならびに
第一剤形および第二剤形を用いる被験者の組合せ療法のための使用説明書
を包含するキットを提供する。
(i)トリヨードチロニン(T3)またはその生化学的類似体;ならびに
(ii)少なくとも1つの抗甲状腺剤
を含む薬学的組成物を提供する。
− 合成T3甲状腺ホルモンであるサイトメル(登録商標)による癌患者の処置(5〜40μg/日)は、T4レベルの低減を生じ、したがって、癌の増殖を遅くする。これらの臨床的知見は、被験者の血液中のT4の低レベル(正常より低い)および正常値を上回るTSHにより示されるように、中等度の甲状腺機能低下の状態にある被験者と相関した;
− 抗甲状腺剤、例えばメチマゾールまたはPTUをサイトメル(登録商標)と組合せた癌被験者の組合せ処置は、腫瘍増殖を遅くし、および/または化学療法および/または放射線療法に対する腫瘍細胞の感受性を増強した。
(i)トリヨードチロニン(T3)またはその生化学的類似体;ならびに
(ii)抗甲状腺剤による処置、放射性ヨウ素による処置および甲状腺の全部または一部の外科的除去からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの抗甲状腺処置
を施すことを包含する治療方法が提供される。
(a)抗癌処置に対する癌の被験者における感作;
(b)癌細胞を処置すること。
T3またはその生化学的類似体の剤形の第一包装、
少なくとも1つの抗甲状腺剤の剤形の第二包装、ならびに
第一剤形および第二剤形を用いる被験者の組合せ療法のための使用説明書
を包含するキットを提供する。
(a)抗癌処置に対する癌の感作;
(b)癌を処置すること
から選択される1つ以上の作用を達成するために十分である量で提供するために適用可能である。
(i)トリヨードチロニン(T3)またはその生化学的類似体;ならびに
(ii)少なくとも1つの抗甲状腺剤
を含む薬学的組成物も提供する。
(a)本明細書中に上記したような抗癌処置に対する癌の感作;
(b)本明細書中に上記したような癌を処置すること
のうちの1つ以上を達成するために有効である。
実施形態の一覧
(i)トリヨードチロニン(T3)またはその生化学的類似体;ならびに
(ii)抗甲状腺剤による処置、放射性ヨウ素による処置および甲状腺の全部または一部の外科的除去からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの抗甲状腺処置
を施すことを包含する治療方法。

T3またはその生化学的類似体の剤形の第一包装、
少なくとも1つの抗甲状腺剤の剤形の第二包装、ならびに
第一剤形および第二剤形を用いる被験者の組合せ療法のための使用説明書
を包含するキット。
(a)抗癌処置に対する癌の感作;
(b)癌を処置すること
から選択される1つ以上の作用を達成するのに十分である実施形態40記載のキット。
(i)トリヨードチロニン(T3)またはその生化学的類似体;ならびに
(ii)少なくとも1つの抗甲状腺剤
を含む薬学的組成物。
(a)抗癌処置に対する癌の感作;
(b)癌を処置すること
のうちの少なくとも1つを達成するために有効である実施形態62記載の薬学的組成物。

Claims (17)
- チオアミドベースの抗甲状腺剤;及び
トリヨードチロニン(T3)又は該T3の少なくとも部分的なホルモン性活性を示すT3の生化学的類似体
を含む、癌を有する被験者の処置に用いるための組合せ薬剤であって、
該T3またはその生化学的類似体が5μg〜40μgの1日量に適した用量であり、
該T 3 またはその生化学的類似体の量が該被験者のT 4 レベルを減少させるのに有効である上記組合せ薬剤。 - 前記トリヨードチロニン(T 3 )の生化学的類似体がT3のL−異性体である請求項1記載の組合せ薬剤。
- T3の前記L−異性体がリオチロニンナトリウムである請求項2記載の組合せ薬剤。
- 前記1日量のT3またはその生化学的類似体がリオチロニンナトリウムの活性の少なくとも一部を示す請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の組合せ薬剤。
- 1日1回または1日数回のT3またはその生化学的類似体を用いるための請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の組合せ薬剤。
- 前記癌が固形癌である請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の組合せ薬剤。
- 前記固形癌が、血管新生化腫瘍、生殖腺癌、消化管、食道癌、バレット食道癌、口腔癌、耳下腺癌、鼻咽頭癌、甲状腺癌、CNS癌、泌尿生殖癌、皮膚癌、骨および結合組織癌からなる群から選択される請求項6記載の組合せ薬剤。
- 前記固形癌が神経膠腫である請求項7記載の組合せ薬剤。
- 前記神経膠腫が神経膠芽細胞腫である請求項8記載の組合せ薬剤。
- 前記チオアミドベースの薬剤がプロピルチオウラシル(PTU)またはメチマゾールである請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の組合せ薬剤。
- 10mg〜80mg/日の量のメチマゾール、または100mg〜1200mg/日の量のPTUを含む請求項10記載の組合せ薬剤。
- 少なくとも1つの抗癌処置とさらに組合せて用いるための請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の組合せ薬剤。
- 前記抗癌処置が、化学療法、放射線療法、モノクローナル抗体療法、血管新生阻害剤療法、生物学的療法、骨髄移植、末梢血幹細胞移植、遺伝子療法、温熱療法、レーザー療法、光線力学的療法、標的癌療法からなる群から選択される請求項12記載の組合せ薬剤。
- 少なくとも4週間の期間の被験者の連続処置のために用いるための請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載の組合せ薬剤。
- トリヨードチロニン(T3)または該T3の少なくとも部分的なホルモン性活性を示すT3の生化学的類似体を含む剤形の第一包装(ここで該T 3 またはその生化学的類似体が5μg〜40μgの1日量に適した用量である)を含む、癌を有する被験者の処置に用いるためのキットであって、
該第一包装は、チオアミドベースの抗甲状腺剤を含む剤形のもう一つの包装と組み合わせて用いるものであり、
T 3 またはその生化学的類似体の量が該被験者のT 4 レベルの減少に有効である、上記キット。 - チオアミドベースの抗甲状腺剤を含む剤形の包装を含む、癌を有する被験者の処置に用いるためのキットであって、
該包装は、トリヨードチロニン(T 3 )または該T 3 の少なくとも部分的なホルモン性活性を示すT 3 の生化学的類似体を含む剤形のもう一つの包装と組み合わせて用いるものであり、該T 3 またはその生化学的類似体が5μg〜40μgの1日量に適した用量であり、
T 3 またはその生化学的類似体の量が該被験者のT 4 レベルの減少に有効である、上記キット。 - トリヨードチロニン(T 3 )または該T 3 の少なくとも部分的なホルモン性活性を示すT 3 の生化学的類似体を含む剤形の第一包装(ここで該T 3 またはその生化学的類似体が5μg〜40μgの1日量に適した用量である)、及び
チオアミドベースの抗甲状腺剤を含む剤形の第二包装、
を含む、癌を有する被験者の処置に用いるためのキットであって、
該第一包装は該第二の包装と組み合わせて用いるものであり、
T 3 またはその生化学的類似体の量が該被験者のT 4 レベルの減少に有効である、上記キット。
