Description
本発明の一形態であるアクティブマトリクス型の表示装置について図1及び図2を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様である表示装置に用いる有機EL発光を呈する発光素子の素子構造の一例について説明する。
本実施の形態では、上記実施の形態で示した表示装置を表示パネルとして含み、三次元(3D)表示が可能な表示装置について、図面を参照して説明する。
本発明の一態様に係る表示装置は、ノート型パーソナルコンピュータ、記録媒体を備えた画像再生装置(代表的にはDVD:Digital Versatile Disc等の記録媒体を再生し、その画像を表示しうるディスプレイを有する装置)に用いることができる。その他に、本発明の一態様に係る表示装置を用いることができる電子機器として、携帯電話、携帯型ゲーム機、携帯情報端末、電子書籍、ビデオカメラ、デジタルスチルカメラ、ゴーグル型ディスプレイ(ヘッドマウントディスプレイ)、ナビゲーションシステム、音響再生装置(カーオーディオ、デジタルオーディオプレイヤー等)、複写機、ファクシミリ、プリンター、プリンター複合機、現金自動預け入れ払い機(ATM)、自動販売機などが挙げられる。本実施の形態においては、これら電子機器の具体例を図5を参照して説明する。これらの電子機器はバッテリを有していてもよい。
まず、一辺が126.6mmである正方形状の単結晶シリコン基板6000を準備し、塩素(Cl)が添加された酸化性雰囲気中において、単結晶シリコン基板6000に対して950℃の熱酸化処理を行うことで、単結晶シリコン基板6000表面に100nm程度の塩酸酸化された熱酸化膜6002を形成した(図6(A)参照)。また、熱酸化膜6002の形成後に熱酸化膜6002の表面に対して洗浄処理を行った。
上述の方法にて作製したSOI基板6020のシリコン薄膜6010について、ラマン分光測定装置を用いて結晶状態を評価した。また、比較のため、バルクの単結晶シリコンについても同様に、結晶状態を評価した。両者の結果を図7に示す。なお、図7の横軸はラマンシフト[cm−1]、縦軸はラマン強度をノーマライズした値(任意単位)である。

Claims (1)
- 複数の画素を有し、
前記複数の画素はそれぞれ、第1のトランジスタと、第2のトランジスタと、容量素子と、発光素子と、を有する表示装置であって、
第1の導電層と、第2の導電層と、第3の導電層と、第4の導電層と、第5の導電層と、第6の導電層と、第7の導電層と、第1の半導体層と、第2の半導体層と、を有し、
前記第1の導電層と、前記第5の導電層とは、第1の方向に延びて設けられた領域を有し、
前記第1の導電層は、前記第1のトランジスタのゲート電極として機能する領域を有し、
前記第5の導電層は、前記容量素子の一対の電極のうちの一方として機能する領域を有し、
前記第2の導電層と、前記第4の導電層とは、第2の方向に延びて設けられた領域を有し、
前記第2の方向は、前記第1の方向と交差し、
前記第2の導電層は、前記第1のトランジスタのソース電極又はドレイン電極の一方として機能する領域を有し、
前記第4の導電層は、前記第2のトランジスタのソース電極又はドレイン電極の一方として機能する領域を有し、
前記第3の導電層は、前記第2のトランジスタのゲート電極として機能する領域を有し、
前記第6の導電層は、前記第1のトランジスタのソース電極又はドレイン電極の他方として機能する領域を有し、
前記第6の導電層は、前記第3の導電層と電気的に接続され、
前記第7の導電層は、前記第2のトランジスタのソース電極又はドレイン電極の他方として機能する領域を有し、
前記第7の導電層は、前記発光素子と電気的に接続され、
前記第1の半導体層は、前記容量素子の一対の電極のうちの他方として機能する領域を有し、
前記第1の半導体層は、前記第2の方向に延びて設けられた第1の領域と、前記第1の方向に延びて設けられた第2の領域と、前記第2の方向に延びて設けられた第3の領域と、を有し、
前記第1の領域は、前記第1の導電層と重なる領域を有し、
前記第3の領域は、前記第1の導電層と重なる領域を有し、
前記第1の領域と前記第3の領域とは、前記第2の領域を間に挟んで離間して設けられ、
前記第2の導電層は、前記第1の領域と重なる領域を有し、
前記第4の導電層は、前記第1の半導体層及び前記第5の導電層と重なる領域を有し、
前記第2の半導体層は、前記第2の方向に延びて設けられた第4の領域と、前記第1の方向に延びて設けられた第5の領域と、前記第2の方向に延びて設けられた第6の領域と、前記第1の方向に延びて設けられた第7の領域と、前記第2の方向に延びて設けられた第8の領域と、を有し、
前記第4の領域と前記第6の領域とは、前記第5の領域を間に挟んで離間して設けられ、
前記第5の領域と前記第7の領域とは、前記第6の領域を間に挟んで離間して設けられ、
前記第6の領域と前記第8の領域とは、前記第7の領域を間に挟んで離間して設けられ、
前記第3の導電層は、前記第4の領域と重なる領域と、前記第5の領域と重なる領域と、前記第6の領域と重なる領域と、前記第7の領域と重なる領域と、前記第8の領域と重なる領域と、を有し、
前記第4の導電層は、前記第4の領域と重なる領域と、前記第5の領域と重なる領域と、前記第6の領域と重なる領域と、前記第7の領域と重なる領域と、前記第8の領域と重なる領域と、を有し、
前記第2の半導体層は、前記第2の導電層と重なる領域を有さないことを特徴とする表示装置。
