前記高屈折率材料層と前記低屈折率材料層との間に配設され、第3の実屈折率n3及び第3の吸収係数β3をn1>n3>n2の関係で有する第1のグレーディング層を備えたグレーディング領域と、
を含み、
前記低屈折率材料層は、曲線断面または多角形断面を有する円筒状コアを含み、
前記グレーディング領域は、前記低屈折率材料層の少なくとも一部を囲い、
前記高屈折率材料層は、前記グレーディング領域の少なくとも一部を囲い、

ことを特徴とする、請求項31に記載の方法。 - 第1のグレーディング副層における前記第1構成グレーディング材料と前記第2構成グレーディング材料との比例混合物が、別のグレーディング副層における当該第1構成グレーディング材料と当該第2構成グレーディング材料との比例混合物とは異なることを特徴とする、請求項35に記載の方法。
- 前記グレーディング領域を形成する工程が、前記高屈折率材料層と前記低屈折率材料層との間にグレーディング層を被着させる工程を更に含み、当該グレーディング層が、隣接する如何なるグレーディング層よりも大きな屈折率及び隣接する如何なるグレーディング層よりも小さな吸収係数を有する材料により構成されたことを特徴とする、請求項31に記載の方法。
- 前記形成工程が、気相堆積、サーマルジェット噴霧堆積、超音波ジェット噴霧堆積、及び化学メッキの少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする、請求項31に記載の方法。
