Description
項1. 金属成分として8族元素又は9族元素を含み、配位子として窒素含有多環式化合物を含む金属錯体からなる、ヒドラジン化合物の電気化学的酸化用触媒。
項2. 金属成分が、鉄、ルテニウム、コバルト又はロジウムであり、配位子がポルフィリン化合物、フタロシアニン化合物又はサレン化合物である上記項1に記載のヒドラジン化合物の電気化学的酸化用触媒。
項3. 金属錯体が導電性担体に担持されたものである上記項1又は2に記載のヒドラジン化合物の電気化学的酸化用触媒。
項4. ヒドラジン化合物が、ヒドラジン、ヒドラジン水和物、及びヒドラジン誘導体からなる群から選ばれた少なくとも一種の化合物である、上記項1〜3のいずれかに記載のヒドラジン化合物の電気化学的酸化用触媒。
項5. ヒドラジン誘導体が、一般式
項6. ヒドラジン化合物を燃料とする固体高分子形燃料電池のアノード極用触媒である上記項1〜5のいずれかに記載の触媒。
項7. 上記項6の触媒をアノード極用触媒として含む、ヒドラジン化合物を燃料とする固体高分子形燃料電池。
本発明のヒドラジン化合物に対する電気化学的酸化用触媒は、金属成分として、8族元素又は9族元素を含み、配位子として窒素含有多環式化合物を含む金属錯体である。
上記した金属錯体は、例えば、目的とする錯体の配位子となる化合物と金属化合物を溶媒中に溶解し、加熱することによって製造することができる。
上記した金属錯体は、導電性担体に担持させることにより、ヒドラジン化合物の電気化学的酸化反応に対して高い触媒活性を有するものとすることができる。
上記した金属錯体は、ヒドラジン化合物の電気化学的酸化反応に対して優れた触媒活性を有するものである。
(i)担持カーボン触媒の作製
下記表1に示す各金属錯体を触媒成分として用い、各金属錯体を溶媒中に溶解させた後、この溶液にカーボンブラック(比表面積250 m2/g、商標名:Vulcan XC 72R、Cabot社製)を30 mg加えた。溶媒としては、実施例1, 3, 6, 7, 8においてはジクロロメタン、実施例2においては蒸留水、実施例4,5においてはジメチルフォルムアミド、実施例9においてはエタノールを用い、溶媒の使用量はすべて20mLとした。各溶液における金属錯体の添加量は0.9マイクロモルとした。
上記した方法で各金属錯体をカーボンブラックに担持させた触媒を乳鉢で破砕し、5 mgを0.5 mLの混合溶媒(水:エタノール = 1 : 1)に懸濁させたのち、5 μLの5 % Nafion溶液 (Aldrich製)を加えた。この懸濁液を5分間超音波洗浄器に掛けることで、よく分散させた後、回転ディスク電極(直径3mm)の上に2 μLのせて乾燥させた。
Claims (7)
- 金属成分として鉄、ルテニウム、コバルト又はロジウムを含み、配位子としてポルフィリン化合物、フタロシアニン化合物又はサレン化合物を含む金属錯体からなる、ヒドラジン誘導体の電気化学的酸化用触媒。
- 金属錯体が導電性担体に担持されたものである請求項1に記載のヒドラジン誘導体の電気化学的酸化用触媒。
- 前記金属錯体がコバルトオクタエチルポルフィリン、コバルトテトラフェニルポルフィリンスルホン酸、コバルトテトラフェニルポルフィリン、コバルトジューテロポルフィリン、コバルトフタロシアニン、コバルトサレン、鉄オクタエチルポルフィリンクロライド、ルテニウムオクタエチルポルフィリンカルボニル及びロジウムオクタエチルポルフィリンクロライドからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種である、請求項3に記載のヒドラジン誘導体の電気化学的酸化用触媒。
- ヒドラジン誘導体を燃料とする固体高分子形燃料電池のアノード極用触媒である請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の触媒。
- 請求項5の触媒をアノード極用触媒として含む、ヒドラジン誘導体を燃料とする固体高分子形燃料電池。
- 金属成分として、鉄、ルテニウム、コバルト又はロジウムを含み、配位子としてポルフィリン化合物、フタロシアニン化合物又はサレン化合物を含む金属錯体からなる触媒を用いて、ヒドラジン誘導体を電気化学的酸化する方法。
