Claims (4)
- Cs2CO3型及びCs2O型の放射性セシウムが付着した可燃物と塩素化合物とを、回転可能に支持された横型の回転ドラムを備えたロータリーキルン型の焼却炉内に投入後、回転ドラムを回転させることによって混合しながら該Cs2CO3型及びCs2O型の放射性セシウムの分解温度域になるまで加熱し、
該分解温度域で生じた放射性セシウムを塩化セシウムとすると同時に、可燃物を塩化セシウムの融点以上かつ沸点以下の焼却温度で焼却し、該焼却により生じた焼却主灰に、該塩化セシウムを取り込むことを特徴とする放射性セシウム汚染物の処理方法。 - 該焼却炉が、炉内に向けて塩素化合物を噴霧する噴霧ノズルを備えたロータリーキルンであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の放射性セシウム汚染物の処理方法。
- 該焼却炉が、炉内に向けて塩化ナトリウムを噴霧する塩化ナトリウム噴霧ノズルを備えたロータリーキルンであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の放射性セシウム汚染物の処理方法。
- ロータリーキルンが、回転可能に支持された横型の回転ドラムと、その外周を覆う密閉構造の外殻と、外殻を貫通して該回転ドラムの一端に達する放射性廃棄物投入部と、該回転ドラムの他端に接続された排ガス出口部とを備え、該放射性廃棄物投入部及び排ガス出口部は、各々、外殻と気密にフランジ接続されており、該排ガス出口部には該回転ドラム内に火炎を吹き込む放射性廃棄物燃焼用バーナを設け、該排ガス出口部の底部には焼却残渣排出口を設けたことを特徴とする請求項2または3に記載の放射性セシウム汚染物の処理方法。
