- 複合構造の不整合領域を補修するためのパッチであって、
テーパの付いた断面を有する複数の複合プライを含む、不整合領域を覆うための複合積層パッチであって、前記複合プライが、それぞれ第1及び第2の領域を画定する少なくとも第1組及び第2組のプライを含んでおり、各組のプライに異なる基質またはファイバの複合材料を使用することにより、それぞれ異なる破壊靱性を有する少なくとも第1及び第2の領域を含む積層パッチと、
前記積層パッチを前記複合構造に結合するための接着層と
を備え、
前記第1組及び第2組の各々に含まれるプライの縁が、テーパの付いた断面を形成している、

接着層を使用して、テーパの付いたパッチのプライの組の縁を、該複合構造の縁に結合することと
を含む方法。 - 不整合な領域を囲む複合構造の縁にテーパを付けることは、第1のスカーフ角度を有する第1のテーパ付き表面を形成すること及び第2のスカーフ角度を有する第2のテーパ付き表面を形成することを含む請求項8に記載の方法。
