Description
本出願は、2009年3月9日出願のUS出願番号12/400,519、2013年5月28日発行のUS特許番号8,449,703、代理人整理番号08−1011−US−NPの分割出願であり、本明細書で参照することによって組み込まれる開示である、「Predictable Bonded Rework of Composite Structures Using Tailored Patches」と題する、2013年5月26日出願のUS出願番号13/902,816、代理人整理番号08−1011−US−DIV、US特許公開番号No.2013/0337214の一部継続出願である。
さらに、本開示は以下の条項による実施形態を含む。
(条項1)
構造の不整合エリアを再加工するためのパッチシステムであって、
異なる構造特性を有する複数の領域を含むパッチと、
前記パッチ上の複数の接着層であって、テーパ状接着セクションを形成するために前記パッチの少なくとも1つの領域内部で厚さが変化する複数の接着層と
を含むパッチシステム。
(条項2)
前記構造が金属構造である、条項1に記載のパッチシステム。
(条項3)
前記テーパ状接着セクションが、前記金属構造の前記不整合エリアの中の応力強度を低下させる、条項2に記載のパッチシステム。
(条項4)
前記テーパ状接着セクションの各々が、異なる層間靭性を有している、条項1に記載のパッチシステム。
(条項5)
前記構造の前記不整合エリアが亀裂を含み、前記テーパ状接着セクションが、前記亀裂の拡大を実質的に防止するために、亀裂先端の力を低下させる、条項1に記載のパッチシステム。
Claims (15)
- 複合構造上の不整合エリアに一致する外形を有する第1の側面を含む複合再加工パッチであって、異なる構造特性を有する複数の領域を含む複合再加工パッチと、
前記複合再加工パッチの前記第1の側面の複数の接着層であって、テーパ状接着セクションを形成するために前記複合再加工パッチの前記複数の領域のうち少なくとも1つの領域内で厚さが変化する複数の接着層と
を含む装置。 - 前記テーパ状接着セクションの各々が、前記異なる構造特性を有している、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記異なる構造特性が、前記複数の接着層の中の運動学的定数、弾性定数、構造的定数、又は層間破壊靭性の少なくとも1つを含む、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記テーパ状接着セクションの各々が、モードI特性、モードII特性、及びモードIII特性の1つを有する異なる層間破壊設計を有している、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記テーパ状接着セクションの各々が、ひずみエネルギーを前記複合再加工パッチ内に及び前記複合再加工パッチから異なるレートで放出する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記複数の接着層が、フィルム接着剤を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記複合構造が、制御構造面、構造外板パネル、翼構造、及び構造尾翼の1つから選択される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記不整合エリアが亀裂を含み、前記テーパ状接着セクションが、前記亀裂の拡大を低減する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記テーパ状接着セクションが、
第1のセクションと、
前記第1のセクションの周囲を取り囲む第2のセクションと、
前記第2のセクションの周囲を取り囲む第3のセクションと、
前記第3のセクションの周囲を取り囲む第4のセクションと
を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記複合再加工パッチが、前記テーパ状接着セクション上に配置された複合プライの群を有する複合層を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 複合構造を再加工するための方法であって、
テーパ状接着セクションを形成する複数の接着層を前記複合構造上の不整合エリアに付けることと、
複合プライの群を前記テーパ状接着セクション上にレイアップすることと、
異なる構造特性を有する複数の領域を有する複合再加工パッチを形成するために、前記複合プライの群及び前記テーパ状接着セクションを硬化させることと
を含み、前記テーパ状接着セクションの各々が、前記複数の領域のうち対応する1つの領域内に位置しており、前記複数の接着層は、前記複数の領域のうち少なくとも1つの領域内で厚さが変化する、方法。 - 亀裂の拡大が低減されるように、前記テーパ状接着セクションを形成することを更に含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記テーパ状接着セクションの各々が前記異なる構造特性を有するように、前記複数の接着層を付けることを更に含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記異なる構造特性が、運動学的定数、弾性定数、構造的定数、又は層間破壊靭性の少なくとも1つを含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の接着層の各々が異なる幅を有するように、前記複数の接着層を付けること
を更に含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
