Description

1.技術分野
この発明は一般的に電気コネクタに関し、より特定的には、保護スリーブを電気コネクタに結合しかつ接地するように構成されるコネクタフェルールに関する。
細長いワイヤを金属性の保護スリーブで保護して電磁障害(EMI)に対するシールドを設けることが公知である。フェルールを介して上流の金属電気コネクタに保護スリーブを接地することがさらに公知である。残念ながら、スリーブとフェルールとの間の接続部は典型的に電気コネクタ内に位置するために組立て工程が複雑になり、保守の間にまずフェルールを電気コネクタから取外す必要なしにワイヤからスリーブを取外すことができない。さらに、フェルールへの保護スリーブの接続場所の間、および電気コネクタへのフェルールの接続場所の間など、電気アセンブリの電気部品の中へのたとえば水などの流体の浸入に対する耐性を向上させる必要が残っている。またさらに、個別の適用例のために別々のフェルールまたは保護スリーブ構成を有する必要のない、さまざまな保護スリーブ構成に適合することができるフェルールを提供する必要性が残っている。
発明に従って構築されるフェルールおよびそれとのアセンブリは、布製スリーブと電気コネクタとの間の確実な接地経路も設けつつ、保護布製スリーブと電気コネクタとの間の経済的で組立/分解が容易で耐水性で、かつそれ以外に信頼性の高い接続を与える。
図面をより詳細に参照して、図1(部分的に組立)および図1A(完全に組立)は、発明の1つの局面に従って構築されるフェルールアセンブリ10を図示し、フェルールアセンブリ10は、発明の別の局面に従って構築されるフェルール12と、導電性布製スリーブ14と、電気コネクタ16とを少なくとも含む。単一の電気ケーブル、束にされたワイヤハーネス、またはそれ以外である、フェルールを通って延在しかつ任意の好適な直径を有する細長い電気部材18への保護を与える任意の好適な長さを有する布製スリーブ16を設けることができる。さらに、周方向に閉じたまたは開いた、織り、編み、または組みヤーン構造を有する布製スリーブ16を構築することができ、導電性の局面は導電性のヤーン、被覆、膜、箔、またはそれ以外を介して提供することができる。さらに、電気コネクタ16の導電性の局面は別々の導電性内面20を介して与えることができる、または導電性金属筺体を有するコネクタを構築することができる。フェルール12は導電性の布製スリーブ14を電気コネクタ16に結合するように構成され、コネクタ16へのスリーブ14の取付はコネクタ16の外部で行なわれ、これにより、上述の構成要素のうち少なくとも1つの保守の間に必要となり得るような取付および取外しのための容易な機構を設ける。さらに、フェルール12によって確立される接続は、フェルール12とコネクタ16との間およびフェルール12と細長い電気部材18との間に耐水性の封止を確立しかつ維持することを確実にする。
Claims (12)
- 布製スリーブを電気コネクタに結合するように構成されるフェルールであって、
細長い電気部材をそれを通して受けるようにサイズ決めされる空洞を設ける内面を有する円筒形の壁を備え、前記円筒形の壁は、布製スリーブの空洞内での取付のために構成される第1の端と、電気コネクタへの取付のために構成される径方向外向きに延在する環状リムを有する第2の端との間に延在し、前記環状リムは前記第2の端に隣接する略C形の環状ポケットを設け、前記略C形の環状ポケット内にあるエラストマーシールをさらに備え、前記円筒形の壁は、前記第1の端に隣接して少なくとも1つの径方向外向きに延在する環状ビードを有し、前記環状ビードは径方向内向きに面する環状ポケットを設け、さらに
前記内面および細長い電気部材との封止された当接のために前記空洞の中に配設される少なくとも1つの封止部材を備える、フェルール。 - 前記少なくとも1つの封止部材は前記径方向内向きに面する環状ポケットの中に配設される、請求項1に記載のフェルール。
- 前記少なくとも1つの封止部材は前記径方向内向きに面する環状ポケットと前記第2の端との間に延在する、請求項1に記載のフェルール。
- 前記円筒形の壁は、環状の凹部によって互いから軸方向に離間された少なくとも2つの前記径方向外向きに延在する環状ビードを有し、前記径方向外向きに延在する環状ビードの各々は異なる前記径方向内向きに面する環状ポケットを設ける、請求項1に記載のフェルール。
- 前記少なくとも1つの封止部材は複数の封止部材を含み、前記封止部材の別々の1つは前記径方向内向きに面する環状ポケットの各々の中に配設される、請求項4に記載のフェルール。
- 少なくとも1つの前記径方向外向きに延在する環状ビードはハーフビードである、請求項1に記載のフェルール。
- 少なくとも1つの前記径方向外向きに延在する環状ビードは、凹状の輪郭を有する前記径方向内向きに面する環状ポケットを形成するフルビードである、請求項1に記載のフェルール。
- 導電性布製スリーブ、前記布製スリーブで受けられる細長い電気部材、および導電性電気コネクタとフェルールとの組合わせであって、
前記細長い電気部材をそれを通して受けるようにサイズ決めされる空洞を設ける内面を有する円筒形の壁を備え、前記円筒形の壁は、前記布製スリーブの空洞内での取付のために構成される第1の端と、前記電気コネクタへの取付のために構成される径方向外向きに延在する環状リムを有する第2の端との間に延在し、前記環状リムは前記第2の端に隣接する略C形の環状ポケットを設け、前記略C形の環状ポケット内にあるエラストマーシールをさらに備え、前記円筒形の壁は、前記第1の端に隣接して少なくとも1つの径方向外向きに延在する環状ビードを有し、前記環状ビードは径方向内向きに面する環状ポケットを設け、さらに
前記内面および前記細長い電気部材との封止された当接のために前記空洞の中に配設される少なくとも1つの封止部材を備える、組合せ。 - 前記少なくとも1つの封止部材は前記径方向内向きに面する環状ポケットの中に配設される、請求項8に記載の組合せ。
- 前記少なくとも1つの封止部材は前記径方向内向きに面する環状ポケットと前記第2の端との間に延在する、請求項8に記載の組合せ。
- 前記円筒形の壁は、環状の凹部によって互いから軸方向に離間された少なくとも2つの前記径方向外向きに延在する環状ビードを有し、前記径方向外向きに延在する環状ビードの各々は異なる前記径方向内向きに面する環状ポケットを設ける、請求項8に記載の組合せ。
- 前記少なくとも1つの封止部材は複数の封止部材を含み、前記封止部材の別々の1つは前記径方向内向きに面する環状ポケットの各々の中に配設される、請求項11に記載の組合せ。
