Claims (12)
- 海底地盤に隣接した位置から海水上に隣接した位置までスラリを運搬するためのライザシステムであって、
前記ライザシステムは、第1ライザおよび第2ライザと、
前記ライザの一つの上にスラリを運搬するためのスラリ用ポンプシステムと、
前記ライザの一つの下に廃水を戻すための廃水用ポンプシステムと、
を備え、
前記スラリ用ポンプシステム及び前記廃水用ポンプシステムは、前記ライザの各々に選択的に連結可能であり、各ライザがスラリ用ライザまたは廃水用ライザのいずれか一方になることを許容する、ライザシステム。 - 前記スラリ用ポンプシステム及び廃水用ポンプシステムが選択的に連結可能な第3のライザを更に備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記スラリ用ポンプシステム及び廃水用ポンプシステムが選択的に連結可能な第4のライザを更に備える、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 各スラリ用ポンプは、前記ライザの長さに沿って間隔をあけて配置された複数のポンプからなる、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記ライザ及び戻りラインは互いに連結され、複数の支持体は、前記ライザシステムの長さに沿って配置され、各支持体は、実質的に水平面に位置決めされる、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記ライザシステムは、各々が端と端を連結して前記スラリ用ライザ及び水の戻りラインを形成する複数のライザ用モジュールから構成される、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 2つの異なる種類のモジュールが、前記ライザシステムを構成、すなわち、ダクト用モジュールが、側方ポートを持たない少なくとも4つのダクトと、少なくとも4つのダクトを備えるポンプ用ダクトとを備え、それらのうちの少なくとも一つに側方ポート及び出口ポートが設けられる、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記ライザが少なくとも一部で吊される浮力タンクを更に備える、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のライザシステムを備える採掘システムであって、前記ライザシステムは、その上端部が移動式水上船に、その底端部が移動式海底採掘工具に結合される、採掘システム。
- 前記モジュールのうち幾つかに浮力タンクが設けられる、請求項6〜7のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 一対のスラリ用ライザと、一対の廃水戻りラインとを備えるライザシステムを構成する方法であって、
各スラリ用ライザは前記ライザの上にスラリを運搬するスラリ用ポンプシステムを備え、各廃水戻りラインは、前記廃水戻りラインの下に廃水を戻す廃水用ポンプシステムを備え、
当該方法は、
前記廃水戻りラインの一つから前記廃水用ポンプシステムを切断するステップと、
前記スラリ用ポンプシステムを前記廃水戻りラインに連結するステップと、
を備え、もって、前記廃水戻りラインをスラリ用ライザに変える、方法。 - 前記スラリ用ライザの一つから前記スラリ用ポンプシステムを切断するステップと、このライザに廃水用ポンプシステムを連結し、それを廃水戻りラインに変えるステップと、を備える、請求項11に記載の方法。
