Description
図1は、本実施形態の発振装置を示す概略図である。発振装置100は、定電圧を生成する定電圧回路10と、生成された定電圧により水晶振動子を発振させる水晶発振回路20とを含んでいる。
基準電圧回路101は、NMOSトランジスタMN1に定電流源11から定電流IREFを流すことにより基準電圧VREFを生成する。
水晶発振回路20の発振停止電圧VDOSは、水晶振動子の特性、発振インバータの特性、負荷容量によって決まり、温度変化に対して直線的に低下する。
デプレッション型PMOSトランジスタMD1の閾値電圧Vtpdは、温度が上昇するにつれてより大きくなる。デプレッション型PMOSトランジスタMD1の温度特性は、温度が上昇するにつれてドレイン―ソース間電流Idsの傾きが小さくなる。

Claims (2)
- 定電圧回路が出力する定電圧で駆動される水晶発振回路を備えた発振装置であって、
前記定電圧回路は、
定電流源と、前記定電流源の定電流により基準電圧を出力する第1のMOSトランジスタと、を備えた基準電圧回路と、
前記基準電圧と帰還電圧を入力する差動増幅回路と、
前記差動増幅回路の出力によって、前記定電圧回路の出力端子に前記定電圧を出力する第2のMOSトランジスタと、
前記出力端子に接続された、正または負の温度特性を有する抵抗である温度特性調整素子と、
前記温度特性調整素子と接地の間に接続され、前記帰還電圧を出力する第3のMOSトランジスタと、を備え、
前記定電圧回路が出力する定電圧は、温度変化に対して第1の傾きを有し、
前記水晶発振回路の発振停止電圧は、温度変化に対して第2の傾きを有し、
前記水晶発振回路の消費電流は、前記第1の傾きと前記第2の傾きとの差と相関を有し、
前記温度特性調整素子によって前記第1の傾きを調整して、前記第1の傾きと前記第2の傾きとの差を極小とする、ことを特徴とする発振装置。 - 前記定電流源は、デプレッション型MOSトランジスタで構成され、
前記デプレッション型トランジスタの閾値電圧を変えることにより、前記第1の傾きを調整する、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の発振装置。
