Description
遮蔽板としては、排気通路の下流に向けて傾斜する斜面を有するものを採用することが望ましい。
図1に示すように、排気通路10には、内燃機関から排出されるNOx(窒素酸化物)を還元する窒素酸化物浄化触媒として、SCR(Selective Catalytic Reduction)触媒13が設けられている。排気通路10におけるSCR触媒13の排気流れ上流(以下では単に上流と称する)には、還元剤としての尿素水溶液(いわゆる尿素水)が添加弁12から噴射して添加される。こうして添加された尿素水が、排気中で加水分解することによりアンモニアが発生する。そして、排気通路10における添加弁12の排気流れ下流(以下では単に下流と称する)に位置するSCR触媒13にアンモニアの還元作用が生じることにより、排気に含まれるNOxが窒素と水に還元される。添加弁12には、尿素水を貯留するタンク11から尿素水が供給される。排気通路10において、SCR触媒13と添加弁12との間には、同添加弁12から噴射された尿素水を分散板21によって排気中に分散する分散装置20が設けられている。
添加弁12の噴孔12A,12B,12Cから分散板21に向けて噴射された尿素水のうち複数の羽根23に直接衝突する尿素水は、複数の羽根23によって流れ方向が変えられ、分散板21の下流に分散して流れる。
(1)遮蔽板26,27,28によって通過口25を覆うことにより、通過口25を通過しようとする尿素水を遮蔽板26,27,28に衝突させることができ、尿素水の分散性を高めることができるようになる。更に、通過口25が形成されないように複数の羽根23を筒体22の中央まで延設するようにした構成とは異なり、複数の羽根23に対し間隔Lを隔てて設けられた遮蔽板26,27,28によって通過口25を覆うようにしているため、排気が遮蔽板26,27,28と複数の羽根23との間の空間を流れることができ、圧力損失の増大を抑制することができる。
・図5に示すように、遮蔽板26,27,28は、斜面26c,27c,28cが形成されず、その先端26b,27b,28bが軸方向Sに対して直交する方向に延びる形状であってもよい。こうした形態によっても、上記実施形態で得られる効果の(1)〜(4)と同様の効果を奏することはできる。また、こうした構成においても、上記実施形態と同様に、遮蔽板26,27,28の先端26b,27b,28bの近傍を流れる排気の圧力損失が増大しないように、それら先端26b,27b,28bの間隔L1,L2を設定する。
・1つの遮蔽板により通過口25を覆うようにしてもよい。尚、この形態においては、遮蔽板における通過口25と重なる部分を、軸方向Sにおいて通過口25を覆うことができる程度に大きい面積に形成することが望ましい。こうした形態によっても、上記実施形態で得られる効果の(1)、(3)〜(5)と同様の効果を奏することはできる。
Claims (6)
- 筒体の周方向に沿って設けられるとともにその先端が前記筒体の外周からその中央へと延設される複数の羽根を備え、前記筒体の中央には前記複数の羽根の先端によって囲まれた通過口が形成される分散板であって、
前記筒体の軸方向において前記複数の羽根に対し間隔を隔てて設けられるとともにその先端が前記通過口を覆う複数の遮蔽板を備え、
前記複数の遮蔽板のそれぞれの先端が、前記筒体の軸方向において互いに異なる位置であって、前記筒体の軸方向からみて重なる位置に延びている
分散板。 - 請求項1に記載の分散板が排気通路において還元剤を噴射する添加弁の下流に設けられる分散装置。
- 前記分散板は、前記遮蔽板が前記複数の羽根よりも前記排気通路の上流側に位置するように同排気通路に配設される
請求項2に記載の分散装置。 - 前記遮蔽板は、前記添加弁の噴孔から噴射される噴霧が直接衝突する位置に延びている
請求項3に記載の分散装置。 - 筒体の周方向に沿って設けられるとともにその先端が前記筒体の外周からその中央へと延設される複数の羽根を備え、前記筒体の中央には前記複数の羽根の先端によって囲まれた通過口が形成される分散板を有する分散装置であって、
前記分散板は、前記筒体の軸方向において前記複数の羽根に対し間隔を隔てて設けられるとともにその先端が前記通過口を覆う遮蔽板を備え、
前記分散板は、排気通路において還元剤を噴射する複数の噴孔を有する添加弁の下流に設けられ、前記遮蔽板が前記複数の羽根よりも前記排気通路の上流側に位置するように同排気通路に配設され、
前記遮蔽板は、前記添加弁における前記複数の噴孔と同じ数だけ設けられるとともに前記噴孔から噴射される噴霧が直接衝突する位置にそれぞれ延びている
