ここに、Pindoorsはデジタルカメラ10が屋内にある確率、Sは判定された信号強度値、ZGは判定された標高値、f(*)は当分野で公知の技術方法を用いて実験的に決定されたデータをフィッティングさせることにより決定可能な確率関数である。デジタルカメラ10が屋内にある確率が50%を超えると判定された場合、GPS信号解析ステップ210は、デジタルカメラが屋内220にある旨を示すことができる。さもなければ、デジタルカメラ10が屋外215にある旨を示すことができる。

Claims (3)
- デジタル画像処理システムであって、
デジタル画像センサと、
前記デジタル画像センサ上にシーンの画像を形成するよう構成された光学システムと、
全地球測位システムセンサと、
プロセッサがアクセス可能なメモリ・システムと、
前記デジタル画像処理システムが屋内または屋外のいずれにあるかを判定するために、前記全地球測位システムセンサからの信号を解析する処理であって、前記解析する処理が、
前記デジタル画像処理システムの地理的位置を判定する処理と、
前記判定された地理的位置を、既知の複数の建物の地理的位置を示す地理データベースと比較する処理であって、前記地理データベースが前記既知の複数の建物それぞれに関連付けられた照明のタイプを示す情報を含む処理と、
前記既知の複数の建物の1つの位置に対応する前記判定された地理的位置に応じて、前記デジタル画像処理システムが屋内に存在する可能性を判定する処理と
を含む処理と、
前記デジタル画像センサを使用して前記シーンのデジタル画像を捕捉する処理と、
前記デジタル画像処理システムが屋内に存在するか、又は屋外に存在するかの可能性に応じて、かつ、前記既知の複数の建物の前記1つに関連付けられた照明の示されたタイプに応じて前記デジタル画像を処理する処理と、
前記デジタル画像を、前記プロセッサがアクセス可能なメモリ・システムに記憶する処理と
を含む処理を行うよう構成された処理システムと
を備え、
前記全地球測位システムセンサからの前記信号は、地理的位置及び高度を判定することによって解析され、前記デジタル画像処理システムは、前記判定された地理的位置における前記判定された高度と、既知の標高との差に基づいて屋内に存在するものと判定されるデジタル画像処理システム。 - 請求項1記載のデジタル画像処理システムであって、前記地理データベースは、前記既知の複数の建物の前記1つにおいてフラッシュ撮影が適切か否かを示す情報を含み、前記処理システムが、前記既知の複数の建物の前記1つにおいてフラッシュ撮影が不適切である旨を前記地理データベースにおける前記情報が示す場合、非フラッシュ撮影モードを設定する処理を含む処理を行うよう更に構成されたデジタル画像処理システム。
- 請求項2記載のデジタル画像処理システムであって、前記既知の複数の建物の前記1つにおいてフラッシュ撮影が適切か否かを示す情報は、既知の建物において前記フラッシュ撮影が禁止されているか否かの表示子を含むデジタル画像処理システム。
