Description
以下に、比較試料のボンド研磨物品に対比して提供される実施形態により形成されたボンド研磨物品の特定の実施例を示す。以下の表1に、本明細書に記載した実施形態により形成された8つの試料(試料1〜8)のボンドマトリックス組成物以外のガラス粉末組成物(重量%)を示す。
Claims (14)
- ボンドマトリックス内に砥粒を含むボンド研磨材であって、前記砥粒が立方晶窒化ホウ素(cBN)を含み、前記ボンドマトリックスが、前記砥粒とは別の多結晶セラミック相を約50体積%以上含み、前記ボンド研磨材の気孔率が約5.0体積%以上であり、破壊係数(MOR)が約40MPa以上であり且つ弾性率(MOE)が約80GPa以上である、ボンド研磨材。
- 前記ボンドマトリックスが、酸化ケイ素を含む請求項1に記載のボンド研磨材。
- 前記ボンドマトリックスが、酸化アルミニウムを含む請求項2に記載のボンド研磨材。
- 前記ボンドマトリックスが、酸化リチウム、酸化マグネシウム、酸化カルシウム、酸化バリウム、酸化ナトリウム、酸化カリウム、酸化ホウ素、酸化ジルコニウム、酸化チタン、酸化亜鉛、酸化イットリウム、酸化鉄、酸化セシウム、酸化ランタンおよび酸化ビスマスからなる要素の群から選択される少なくとも1種類の要素をさらに含む請求項2に記載のボンド研磨材。
- 前記ボンドマトリックスが、約40モル%〜約60モル%の量で酸化ケイ素を、約10モル%〜約30モル%の範囲内の量で酸化アルミニウムを、約15モル%〜約35モル%の範囲内の量で酸化マグネシウムを含む請求項4に記載のボンド研磨材。
- 前記ボンドマトリックスが、約60体積%〜約100体積%の前記多結晶セラミック相を含む請求項1に記載のボンド研磨材。
- 前記ボンドマトリックスが、アモルファス相をさらに含む請求項1に記載のボンド研磨材。
- 前記多結晶セラミック相が、コーディエライト、エンスタタイト、サファーリン、灰長石、セルシアン、透輝石、スピネルおよびベータ−リシア輝石からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの結晶相を含む請求項1に記載のボンド研磨材。
- 多結晶セラミック相が、約0.05ミクロン以上の平均結晶子サイズを有する結晶子を含む請求項1に記載のボンド研磨材。
- 前記MORが、約40MPa〜約150MPaの範囲内である請求項1に記載のボンド研磨材。
- ボンドマトリックス内に砥粒を含むボンド研磨材であって、前記砥粒が立方晶窒化ホウ素(cBN)を含み、前記ボンドマトリックスが、前記砥粒とは別の多結晶セラミック相を含み、前記ボンド研磨材の気孔率が約20体積%以上であり、破壊係数(MOR)が約20MPa以上であり且つ弾性率(MOE)が約80GPa以上である、ボンド研磨材。
- 前記気孔率が、前記ボンド研磨材の総体積の約20体積%〜約50体積%の範囲内である請求項11に記載のボンド研磨材。
- 前記気孔率が、約500ミクロン以下の平均粒径を有する請求項11に記載のボンド研磨材。
- 前記MORが、約40MPa以上である請求項11に記載のボンド研磨材。
