超音波を送信する送信素子から送信用ホーンを介して検出対象に向けて超音波を発射し、検出対象からの反射波を受信用ホーンを介して受信素子で受信する超音波センサにおいて、
前記送信用ホーン及び前記受信用ホーンは共通のホーン筐体を有しており、
前記ホーン筐体は、前記超音波又は前記反射波の伝播方向においてそれぞれの開口の位置を、前記超音波の波長をλとしたときに、下記の間隔ΔLh、
ΔLh=λ×{n+(1/4)} (但し、nは0以上の整数)
だけずらした、前記伝播方向における寸法差が前記間隔ΔLhである2つの音響ホーン体を有しており、
前記2つの音響ホーン体は、前記開口側においてはスクリーンにより各音響ホーン体毎に仕切られており、かつ、前記送信素子や前記受信素子側においては互いに連通して共有音響空間を形成している、
ことを特徴とする。

Claims (3)
- 超音波を送信する送信素子から送信用ホーンを介して検出対象に向けて超音波を発射し、検出対象からの反射波を受信用ホーンを介して受信素子で受信する超音波センサにおいて、
前記送信用ホーン及び前記受信用ホーンは共通のホーン筐体を有しており、
前記ホーン筐体は、前記超音波又は前記反射波の伝播方向においてそれぞれの開口の位置を、前記超音波の波長をλとしたときに、下記の間隔ΔLh、
ΔLh=λ×{n+(1/4)} (但し、nは0以上の整数)
だけずらした、前記伝播方向における寸法差が前記間隔ΔLhである2つの音響ホーン体を有しており、
前記2つの音響ホーン体は、前記開口側においてはスクリーンにより各音響ホーン体毎に仕切られており、かつ、前記送信素子や前記受信素子側においては互いに連通して共有音響空間を形成している、
ことを特徴とする超音波センサ。 - 前記ホーン筐体は、前記送信素子及び前記受信素子のうち少なくとも一方に対する前記スクリーンの位置を前記伝播方向と直交する面内において変更可能に構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の超音波センサ。
- 前記共有音響空間は、前記伝播方向においてλ/2以上の寸法を有していることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の超音波センサ。
