Claims (16)
- 自動膨張タイヤ組立体において、
第1のリムフランジと第2のリムフランジとの間を延びるタイヤ取り付け面を有するリムと、
前記リムの前記タイヤ取り付け面に取り付けられ、タイヤキャビティと、それぞれ第1および第2のタイヤビード領域からタイヤトレッド領域まで延びる第1および第2のサイドウォールと、を有するタイヤであって、前記第1のサイドウォールが、曲げ歪みに応答して、回転するタイヤのフットプリント内で動作可能に湾曲する少なくとも1つの湾曲領域を有し、それによって、前記回転するタイヤのフットプリント内の湾曲状態の前記湾曲領域が、曲げ歪み中立軸と、中立ゾーンの圧縮側と、前記中立ゾーンの伸長側とを有する、タイヤと、
前記第1のタイヤサイドウォールの1つの前記湾曲領域の前記中立軸の前記圧縮側に位置するサイドウォール溝と、
空気チューブを少なくとも部分的に囲む互いに向かい合う溝面に接触して係合するように前記サイドウォール溝内に位置する空気チューブであって、前記サイドウォール溝が、前記回転するタイヤのフットプリント内の前記曲げ歪みに応答して前記湾曲領域内で動作可能に湾曲して、前記空気チューブを、前記回転するタイヤのフットプリントに隣接する位置で、該空気チューブの拡張した状態の直径から該空気チューブの平らな状態の直径になるまで圧縮し、それによって平らになった空気チューブセグメントから排出された空気を空気通路に沿って押し出す、空気チューブと、
を有し、
前記空気チューブと前記サイドウォール溝は、前記リムの上部境界の上方の、前記第1のタイヤサイドウォールのサイドウォール領域内に配置されている、ことを特徴とするタイヤ組立体。 - 前記溝面は、前記空気チューブに接触し、前記回転するタイヤのフットプリント内で湾曲して、前記タイヤのフットプリント内の空気チューブセグメントを動作可能に閉じる、請求項1に記載のタイヤ組立体。
- 前記空気チューブは、実質的にタイヤの前記第1のサイドウォールの周囲を延びる環状体を有している、請求項2に記載のタイヤ組立体。
- 前記サイドウォール溝は、環状であり、前記リムの前記上部境界の上方の近くに配置されている、請求項3に記載のタイヤ組立体。
- 前記溝は、実質的に軸方向に延びる環状のサイドウォール面内を延びている、請求項1に記載のタイヤ組立体。
- 前記環状のサイドウォール面は、前記リムと非接触の関係に配置されたタイヤチェーファーの突出部の、実質的に軸方向に向いた面を含み、前記溝は、前記環状のサイドウォール面内を実質的に半径方向に延びている、請求項5に記載のタイヤ組立体。
- 前記サイドウォール溝は、前記空気チューブを密接に受け入れるような寸法に動作可能に形成されたサイドウォール溝の開口を含む、請求項1に記載のタイヤ組立体。
- 前記空気チューブのほぼ全体が前記サイドウォール溝内にある、請求項7に記載のタイヤ組立体。
- 第1および第2の傾斜した溝面が、前記サイドウォール溝の互いに向かい合う側面を形成し、前記第1および第2の傾斜した溝面の各々は、ある角度をなす交差部分でつながる第1および第2のチューブ接触面を含み、前記第1および第2の傾斜した溝面の前記第1および第2のチューブ接触面は、動作可能に前記エアチューブに間隔をおいて接触して、前記空気チューブを囲んで実質的に外接している、請求項8に記載のタイヤ組立体。
- 前記第1および第2の傾斜した溝面は内側の溝終端部で収束かつ接合し、前記溝終端部の周りで動作可能に内側に向かって撓んで前記サイドウォール溝を収縮させ、前記溝内で前記空気チューブのフットプリントセグメントを平らにする、請求項9に記載のタイヤ組立体。
- 前記溝は、前記溝終端部に向かって狭くなる、請求項10に記載のタイヤ組立体。
- 前記溝終端部における前記溝の内側部分はほぼU字形である、請求項11に記載のタイヤ組立体。
- 前記第1および第2の傾斜した溝面は、前記溝の前記内側部分に向かって収束する、請求項12に記載のタイヤ組立体。
- 前記溝は、実質的に軸方向に延びる環状のサイドウォール面内を延びている、請求項13に記載のタイヤ組立体。
- 前記環状のサイドウォール面は、前記リムと非接触の関係に配置されたタイヤチェーファーの突出部の、実質的に軸方向に向けられた面と、実質的に半径方向に前記環状のサイドウォール面内へ延びている前記溝とを有する、請求項14に記載のタイヤ組立体。
- 前記サイドウォール溝は、前記第1のタイヤサイドウォールの1つの前記湾曲領域の前記中立軸の圧縮側の、前記中立軸からほぼ最長距離の所に位置している、請求項1に記載のタイヤ組立体。
