Description
このアッセイは、White,W.H.,S.M.Bauer,X.Zhaoら,Comparison of in vitro and in vivo ectoparasiticide activity of an experimental benzimidazole−carbamate with permethrin and amitraz,J.Med.Entomol.42,207−211(2005)およびWhite,W.H.,C.M.McCoy,J.A.Meyerら,Knockdown and mortality comparisons among spinosad−,imidacloprid−, and methomyl−containing baits against susceptible Musca domestica(Diptera:Muscidae)under laboratory conditions,J.Econ.Entomol.100,155−163(2007)に記載されるように実質的に行う。
上記データを前提として、イヌにおける経口効果の検証を始めた。この検証を、(1)成体ネコノミ(Ctenocephalides felis)、成体期のアメリカイヌダニ(Dermacentor variabilis)、および成体期の犬舎のダニ(Rhipicephalus sanguineus)での実験的同時寄生に対する、30mg/kgの投与量点についての効果、(2)30mg/kgの血漿濃度で処置したイヌ、ならびに(3)成体期の犬舎のダニ(R.sanguineus)での実験的同時寄生に対する、50mg/kgまたは100mg/kgのいずれかの投与量点についての効果を評価するために行った。
以下の(1)〜(4)に示すノミの寄生に対する効果を評価するために、イヌの別の検証を行った。(1)60mg/kgの単回投与量点の経口投与、(2)1日の間、2時間ごとの20mg/kgのTIDのパルス投与スキームの経口投与、(3)1日の間、4時間ごとの20mg/kgのTIDのパルス投与スキームの経口投与、および(4)スピネトラムの処置後の血漿濃度。
処置群1:60mg/kg、単回投与
処置群2:60mg/kg、(2時間ごとに20mg/kg、3回)
処置群3:60mg/kg、(4時間ごとに20mg/kg、3回)
処置群4:0mg/kg、(ネガティブコントロール)
Claims (13)
- 非ヒト動物の外部寄生生物の寄生を制御する方法であって、該非ヒト動物に対して有効量のスピネトラムまたはその医薬的に許容される塩を局所経皮投与、経口投与、または非経口投与により全身投与する工程を含む方法。
- 該非ヒト動物がイヌまたはネコである請求項1に記載の方法。
- 該投与が1カ月に1回より多くなく単回投与またはパルス投与で行われる請求項1に記載の方法。
- 該昆虫がノミであり、該ノミがネコノミ(Ctenocephalides felis)である請求項2に記載の方法。
- 該有効量が該非ヒト動物の体重の10mg/kg〜60mg/kgである請求項1に記載の方法。
- 該投与が2週間に1回より多くなく単回投与またはパルス投与で行われる請求項1に記載の方法。
- 該有効量が該非ヒト動物の体重の10mg/kg〜60mg/kgである請求項6に記載の方法。
- 非ヒト動物における外部寄生生物の寄生を全身制御する医薬製剤であって、該非ヒト動物の体重の10mg/kg〜60mg/kgのスピネトラムまたはその医薬的に許容される塩、および医薬的に許容される担体を含む、経口投与に適合する錠剤またはカプセル剤である医薬製剤。
- 該スピネトラムまたはその医薬的に許容される塩が該医薬製剤の重量に対して5〜60%の量で該医薬製剤中に存在する請求項8に記載の医薬製剤。
- 該医薬製剤が2週間に1回より多くなく単回投与またはパルス投与で投与される請求項8に記載の医薬製剤。
- 該医薬製剤が1カ月に1回より多くなく投与される請求項10に記載の医薬製剤。
- イヌまたはネコにおける外部寄生生物の寄生を全身制御するための単回投与またはパルス投与用医薬製剤である請求項8記載の医薬製剤。
- 該医薬製剤が噛むことができる治療形態である請求項12に記載の医薬製剤。
