d)前記ディスプレイ基板とカバーとの間に配置された復号化チップレットであって、
i)前記ディスプレイ基板とは別個の異なるチップレット基板と、
ii)前記暗号化された画像信号を受信する手段と、
iii)前記暗号化された画像信号を復号化して前記制御チップレットごとのそれぞれの制御信号を生成し、各制御信号を前記対応する制御チップレットに送信するように構成された復号器と、
を含む、復号化チップレットと、
を備え、
前記復号化チップレットと、前記制御チップレットのうちの選択された1つとは、前記復号化チップレットと選択された制御チップレットとの間の通信が監視されているか否かを判断するように構成されたそれぞれのリンクインテグリティ監視回路を更に備え、前記復号化チップレットと前記選択された制御チップレットとが、前記通信が監視されていると判断した場合、前記復号化チップレットの前記リンクインテグリティ監視回路は、前記復号器が前記選択された制御チップレット用の前記制御信号を生成することを防止し、前記復号器に、前記暗号化された画像信号の代わりにセキュリティ信号を用いて、前記選択された制御チップレット用の前記制御信号を生成させるか、又は前記復号化チップレットに自壊させる、ディスプレイが提供される。

Claims (13)
- 暗号化された画像信号をセキュアに復号化するためのディスプレイであって、
a)ディスプレイ基板であって、表示エリアと、該ディスプレイ基板に取り付けられたカバーとを有する、ディスプレイ基板と、
b)前記表示エリアにおいて前記ディスプレイ基板とカバーとの間に配置され、駆動信号に応答して光をユーザーに提供するための複数のピクセルと、
c)前記表示エリアにおいて前記ディスプレイ基板とカバーとの間に配置された複数の制御チップレットであって、それぞれが、前記ディスプレイ基板とは別個の異なるチップレット基板を備え、前記複数のピクセルのうちの1つ又は複数に接続され、それぞれの制御信号を受信して、前記接続されたピクセル(複数の場合もある)のそれぞれの駆動信号(複数の場合もある)を生成するように構成されている、複数の制御チップレットと、
d)前記ディスプレイ基板とカバーとの間に配置された復号化チップレットであって、
i)前記ディスプレイ基板とは別個の異なるチップレット基板と、
ii)前記暗号化された画像信号を受信する手段と、
iii)前記暗号化された画像信号を復号化して前記制御チップレットごとのそれぞれの制御信号を生成し、各制御信号を前記対応する制御チップレットに送信するように構成された復号器と、
を含む、復号化チップレットと、
を備え、
前記復号化チップレットと、前記制御チップレットのうちの選択された1つとは、前記復号化チップレットと選択された制御チップレットとの間の通信が監視されているか否かを判断するように構成されたそれぞれのリンクインテグリティ監視回路を更に備え、前記復号化チップレットと前記選択された制御チップレットとが、前記通信が監視されていると判断した場合、前記復号化チップレットの前記リンクインテグリティ監視回路は、前記復号器が前記選択された制御チップレット用の前記制御信号を生成することを防止し、前記復号器に、前記暗号化された画像信号の代わりにセキュリティ信号を用いて、前記選択された制御チップレット用の前記制御信号を生成させるか、又は前記復号化チップレットに自壊させる、ディスプレイ。 - 前記復号化チップレットは前記表示エリアにある、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
- 各ピクセルは、エレクトロルミネッセント(EL)ピクセルであり、
該ディスプレイは、前記カバーを前記ディスプレイ基板に取り付けるための封止剤を更に備え、該封止剤、基板、及びカバーが、前記ディスプレイ基板と前記カバーとの間の前記エリア内への湿気の進入を低減するようになっている、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。 - e)1つ又は複数のデータラインであって、それぞれは、前記制御チップレット(複数の場合もある)のうちの1つ又は複数に接続されている、1つ又は複数のデータラインと、
f)前記ディスプレイ基板とは別個の異なるチップレット基板を有するとともに、前記データライン(複数の場合もある)を用いて前記制御信号(複数の場合もある)を前記復号化チップレットから前記制御チップレット(複数の場合もある)に通信するために前記復号化チップレットと前記データライン(複数の場合もある)とに接続されているソースドライバーチップレットと、
を更に備える、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。 - 前記ソースドライバーチップレットは、前記表示エリアに位置している、請求項4に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記リンクインテグリティ監視回路は、前記復号化チップレットから前記制御チップレットまでの前記制御信号の信号伝播の時間遅延を測定するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記復号化チップレット内の前記リンクインテグリティ監視回路と前記制御チップレット内のリンクインテグリティ監視回路との間の電気的接続を更に備え、前記リンクインテグリティ監視回路は、前記電気的接続のインピーダンスを測定するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記電気的接続は、外部環境に対する露出によって変化するインピーダンスを有するワイヤを含む、請求項7に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記表示エリア内に位置する複数の復号化チップレットを更に備える、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記復号化チップレットは、前記暗号化された画像信号を復号化するための復号化鍵を備える、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記復号化チップレットは、前記復号化鍵を記憶する不揮発性メモリを更に備える、請求項10に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記表示エリア内に位置する複数の復号化チップレットを更に備え、各復号化チップレットは、それぞれの一意の復号化鍵を記憶する不揮発性メモリを備える、請求項11に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記復号化チップレットは、前記制御チップレットのうちの1つに電気的接続を行うためのパッドを更に備え、前記復号化チップレットは、前記パッドが、前記復号化チップレットの前記チップレット基板の、前記ディスプレイ基板から遠い側となるように前記ディスプレイ基板上に配置されている、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
