Description
Claims (8)
- 表示パネルと、
選択信号に応じて第1基準電圧または第2基準電圧を用いて複数の階調電圧を提供する階調電圧提供部と、
前記複数の階調電圧および映像信号を用いて複数のデータラインにデータ電圧を印加するデータ駆動部と、
複数のゲートラインにゲートオン電圧を順次に提供するゲート駆動部と、
前記複数のデータラインと前記複数のゲートラインによって定義される複数の画素および前記複数の画素に対応して配置された共通電極と、
駆動電圧の提供を受けて前記駆動電圧を電圧分配することにより生成した原始基準電圧を、安定化キャパシタがカップリングされている原始基準電圧出力ノードを通じて出力する原始基準電圧生成部と、
前記駆動電圧の提供を受けて前記駆動電圧を電圧分配することにより生成した初期基準電圧を、安定化キャパシタがカップリングされていない初期基準電圧出力ノードを通じて出力する初期基準電圧生成部とを含み、
前記データ電圧および前記ゲートオン電圧を用いてフレームごとに映像を表示する表示装置であって、
前記原始基準電圧は前記第1基準電圧であり、前記初期基準電圧は前記第2基準電圧であり、
前記階調電圧提供部は、前記原始基準電圧出力ノードを通じて出力された前記原始基準電圧が印加される第1ノードおよび前記初期基準電圧出力ノードを通じて出力された前記初期基準電圧が印加される第2ノードと、前記選択信号に応じて前記第1基準電圧または前記第2基準電圧のいずれか一方を基準電圧として出力する基準電圧選択部とを含むことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記ゲート駆動部は、前記フレームごとにスキャン開始信号に応答して前記複数のゲートラインに前記ゲートオン電圧を順次に提供し、
前記選択信号は、前記スキャン開始信号を用いて生成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記階調電圧提供部は、前記スキャン開始信号を用いて前記選択信号を生成する選択信号生成部を含み、
前記選択信号は、複数の前記フレームのうち最初のフレームから提供される前記スキャン開始信号を用いて生成されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記階調電圧提供部は、前記表示装置がパワー−オンされた後、前記選択信号を前記階調電圧提供部が受信するまでは前記第2基準電圧を用いて前記複数の階調電圧を提供し、
前記選択信号を前記階調電圧提供部が受信後は前記第1基準電圧を用いて前記複数の階調電圧を提供することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記表示パネルは、前記データラインに提供される前記データ電圧と前記共通電極に印加されるデータ共通電圧との電圧レベルの差に応じて前記映像を表示し、
前記表示装置がパワー−オンされた後、前記複数のフレームのうち最初のフレーム以前には、前記データ電圧の電圧レベルは前記データ共通電圧の電圧レベルと同一であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記階調電圧提供部は、前記基準電圧を用いて前記複数の階調電圧を生成する階調電圧生成部をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 表示パネルと、
選択信号に応じて第1基準電圧または第2基準電圧を用いて複数の階調電圧を提供する階調電圧提供部と、
前記複数の階調電圧および映像信号を用いて複数のデータラインにデータ電圧を印加するデータ駆動部と、
複数のゲートラインにゲートオン電圧を順次に提供するゲート駆動部と、
前記複数のデータラインと前記複数のゲートラインによって定義される複数の画素および前記複数の画素に対応して配置された共通電極と、
駆動電圧の提供を受けて前記駆動電圧を電圧分配することにより生成した原始基準電圧を、安定化キャパシタがカップリングされている原始基準電圧出力ノードを通じて出力する原始基準電圧生成部とを含み、
前記データ電圧および前記ゲートオン電圧を用いてフレームごとに映像を表示する表示装置であって、
前記第1基準電圧は前記原始基準電圧であり、前記第2基準電圧は前記共通電極に印加されるデータ共通電圧であり、
前記階調電圧提供部は、前記原始基準電圧出力ノードを通じて出力された前記原始基準電圧が印加される第1ノードおよび前記データ共通電圧が印加される第2ノードと、前記選択信号に応じて前記第1基準電圧または前記第2基準電圧のいずれかを一方を基準電圧として出力する基準電圧選択部とを含むことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記階調電圧生成部は、
前記基準電圧を電圧分配して複数の原始階調電圧を生成する電圧分配部と、
前記複数の原始階調電圧および階調選択信号を用いて前記複数の階調電圧を出力する階調電圧選択部と、を含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の表示装置。
