Claims (4)
- ハウジング(12)と、該ハウジング(12)に支持される差動機構(38)とを備えた自動車用のロッキングデファレンシャル(10)であって、
前記差動機構(38)は、互いに軸方向に離れた関係に配置され、かつ、前記ハウジング(12)に回転可能に支持される一対のクラッチ部材(40)と、対応する一対のアクスルハーフシャフト(30,32)と共に回転する一対のサイドギヤ(42,44)と、それぞれ対応する一対のクラッチ部材(40)と前記サイドギヤ(42,44)との間に作動可能に配置される一対のクラッチ機構(48,50)とを含んでおり、
前記一対のクラッチ部材(40)は、前記ハウジング(12)内で軸方向に移動可能であり、前記アクスルハーフシャフト(30,32)間の差動運動が所定量の場合に、それぞれのクラッチ機構(48,50)を係合して、前記アクスルハーフシャフトと一体に結合し、
前記一対のクラッチ部材(40)の各々は、それぞれ互いに対面関係に配置された溝(64)を有する内側に向いた面(62)を有し、横ピン(66)が前記溝(64)内に受け入れられ、かつ、前記ハウジング(12)に作動連結されて該ハウジング(12)と共に回転し、
前記溝(64)の各々は、所定の第1曲率半径(RG)を形成し、前記横ピン(66)は、第2曲率半径(RP)を形成し、前記溝(64)の所定の第1曲率半径(RG)は、前記横ピン(66)の所定の第2曲率半径(RP)より大きく、前記横ピン(66)と前記溝(64)との間の接触が前記横ピン(66)の軸に沿って延びる直線を形成し、
前記溝(64)の各々は、互いに対して横方向に延びる一対の平面状の作動面(74)を含み、前記溝(64)の所定の前記第1曲率半径(R G )は、前記作動面(74)に接合することを特徴とするロッキングデファレンシャル。 - 前記作動面(74)は、互いに対して鈍角で延びていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のロッキングデファレンシャル。
- 前記一対のクラッチ機構(48,50)の各々は、前記サイドギヤ(42,44)に共に回転するように支持される複数の摩擦ディスク(54)と、対応する一方の前記クラッチ部材(40)に共に回転するように支持され、かつ、複数の摩擦ディスク(54)の間に介在される複数のプレート(58)とを有する摩擦クラッチ部材を含み、前記クラッチ機構(48,50)は、押圧されて、前記摩擦ディスク(54)を隣接する前記プレート(58)に係合させて、前記クラッチ部材(40)を関連した一方の前記サイドギヤ(42,44)に結合するように作動可能であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のロッキングデファレンシャル。
- 前記溝(64)は中心線(CL)を形成し、前記横ピン(66)は前記横ピン(66)の両側に配置された作動面(74)に係合することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のロッキングデファレンシャル。
