Description
The present invention relates to a water-soluble polyvinyl acetal resin excellent in mechanical strength and flexibility.
Polyvinyl acetal resins such as polyvinyl butyral resins are excellent in toughness, film-forming properties, dispersibility of inorganic or organic powders such as pigments, adhesion to coated surfaces, etc. Ceramic green sheet and conductive paste, ink, paint, baking enamel, wash primer, etc.
In particular, a multilayer ceramic capacitor is generally manufactured through the following steps.
First, a binder resin such as polyvinyl butyral resin and a plasticizer are added to a dispersion obtained by dispersing ceramic powder in an organic solvent, and the mixture is uniformly mixed and defoamed to prepare a slurry composition. Next, the slurry composition is applied onto a peelable support, heated and dried, and then peeled from the support to obtain a ceramic green sheet. On the obtained ceramic green sheet, a conductive paste serving as an internal electrode is applied, and a plurality of the pastes are stacked and heat-pressed to obtain a laminate. Furthermore, after cutting the obtained multilayer body into a predetermined shape, the external electrode is sintered on the end face of the ceramic sintered body obtained by firing, thereby obtaining a multilayer ceramic capacitor.
On the other hand, organic solvents used to produce ceramic green sheets have problems such as environmental pollution, toxicity, danger of explosion accidents, and so on. A method for producing a ceramic green sheet using water as a medium instead of a solvent has been proposed. In addition, a water-soluble binder resin that can use water as a solvent is also required as a binder resin.
On the other hand, the inventor invented a water-soluble polyvinyl acetal resin having a unit represented by a predetermined structure and having a predetermined degree of acetoacetalization and butyralization and disclosed in Patent Document 1. However, in recent years, further toughness has been demanded for ceramic green sheets, water can be used as a solvent, and excellent mechanical strength and flexibility that can provide tough ceramic green sheets can be obtained. There is a need for new binder resins.
An object of this invention is to provide the water-soluble polyvinyl acetal resin excellent in mechanical strength and a softness | flexibility.
The present invention has a structural unit having a hydroxyl group represented by the following formula (1), a structural unit having an acetal group represented by the following formula (2), and a structural unit represented by the following formula (3), the amount of the structural units having an acetal group represented by the following formula (2) is 5 5-65 mole%, 4 to 10 mol% proportion of the structural unit represented by the following formula (3) Po Li Vinyl acetal resin.
In order to obtain a polyvinyl acetal resin excellent in mechanical strength and flexibility, it is considered effective to increase the acetal group content of the polyvinyl acetal resin, that is, the degree of acetalization. However, the polyvinyl acetal resin having a high degree of acetalization has low water solubility, and it is difficult to use water as a solvent. Generally, a water-soluble polyvinyl acetal resin is obtained by acetalizing polyvinyl alcohol as a raw material in water. However, in water, when the degree of acetalization becomes high, the generated polyvinyl acetal resin cannot maintain water solubility. , It will precipitate.
On the other hand, the present inventor is highly acetalized while maintaining water solubility by providing a group having a carboxyl group, an ethylene oxide group, an amide group or a sulfo group in the structure of the polyvinyl acetal resin. The inventors have found that a polyvinyl acetal resin excellent in mechanical strength and flexibility can be obtained, and have completed the present invention.
