Claims (7)
- 直列に電気的に接続された有機発光ダイオードセグメントの配列を有する有機発光ダイオードデバイスであって、
該ダイオードセグメントは2つの有機発光ダイオードを含み、
前記2つの有機発光ダイオードは、導通方向が反対方向を向いた状態で垂直に積層され、
前記ダイオードセグメントは、共通共有電極により互いに電気的に接続され、
前記セグメントの配列は、所定のセグメント及び隣接セグメントを含み、
該所定のセグメントは、第1の共通共有電極を有する第1及び第2の有機発光ダイオードと、第1及び第2の非共有電極を含み、
前記隣接セグメントは、第2の共通共有電極を有する第3及び第4の有機発光ダイオードと、第3及び第4の非共有電極を含み、
前記所定のセグメントは、前記第1の共通共有電極と前記第3の非共有電極との電気的接続及び前記第2の共通共有電極と前記第1の非共有電極との電気的接続により、前記隣接セグメントと直列に電気的に接続され、
前記セグメントの配列に含まれる任意の非共有電極は、前記セグメントの配列に含まれる1つの共通共有電極に最大限に電気的に接続され、
前記セグメントの配列が、第1及び最後のセグメントを含む偶数のn個のセグメントを含む場合、
前記セグメントの配列は、さらに、発光用の前記デバイスを駆動させるための電力を受ける第1及び第2の接続端子を含み、
前記第1の接続端子は、前記第1のセグメントの前記共通共有電極と、共通共有電極に接続されていない前記最後のセグメントの前記非共有電極とに電気的に接続され、
前記第2の接続端子は、前記セグメントの配列の任意のセグメントの共通共有電極に接続され、
あるいは前記セグメントの配列が、第1及び最後のセグメントを含む奇数のセグメントを含む場合、
前記セグメントの配列は、さらに、発光用の前記デバイスを駆動させるための電力を受ける第1、第2、第3及び第4の接続端子を含み、
前記第1の接続端子は、前記第1のセグメントの前記共通共有電極に電気的に接続され、
前記第2の接続端子は、共通共有電極に接続されていない前記第1のセグメントの前記非共有電極に電気的に接続され、
前記第3の接続端子は、前記最後のセグメントの前記共通共有電極に接続され、
前記第4の接続端子は、共通共有電極に接続されていない前記最後のセグメントの前記非共有電極に電気的に接続されることを特徴とする有機発光ダイオードデバイス。 - 前記共通共有電極はカソードである請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記2つの有機発光ダイオードは、各第1及び第2の波長範囲における発光に適合され、
前記共通共有電極は、少なくとも前記第1又は第2の波長範囲において光学的に透明である請求項1に記載のデバイス。 - 前記第1の波長範囲は前記第2の波長範囲と異なる請求項3に記載のデバイス。
- 前記セグメントの配列は、偶数のn個のセグメントを有し、前記第2の接続端子は、前記セグメントの配列の第(n/2+1)番目のセグメントの前記共通共有電極に電気的に接続されている請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記セグメントの配列は、奇数個のセグメントを有し、前記第1のセグメントの前記共通共有電極は、ダイオードを介して前記第1の接続端子に電気的に接続され、及び/又は
前記最後のセグメントの前記共通共有電極は、もう1つのダイオードを介して前記第3の接続端子に電気的に接続された請求項1に記載のデバイス。 - 前記第1及び第2の端子が同一であり、及び/又は
前記第3及び第4の端子が同一である請求項6に記載のデバイス。
