Description
本発明の「ソフトニトリル」材料の特有な性質は、1つには、2つのアクリロニトリル組成物が約50:50で混合されたニトリル組成物に起因するものと考えられる。一方では、第1のニトリル組成物は、第2のニトリル組成物よりも柔軟である、又は言い換えると、第2のニトリル組成物よりも弾性係数が低い。他方では、第2のニトリル組成物は、第1のニトリル組成物よりも優れたフィルム形成能力を示す。各組成物の性質は、浸漬処理により優れた、及び材料をより軟化させることができる、組み合わされた混合物の作成に役立つ。2つの組成物を混合することにより、相乗効果が生じる。このような現象は、ニトリルに関する技術分野では稀である。ニトリル重合体分子におけるカルボン酸基の配向及び配置(外側又は内側のどちらでも)は、マグネシウム又は亜鉛などのカチオンに対するカルボン酸の反応性に影響を及ぼす。
本発明のある側面は、エラストマー手袋を作成するための方法であって、a)カルボキシル化ニトリルブタジエンゴムエマルジョンと、前記カルボキシル化ニトリルブタジエンゴムの乾燥ゴム100部当たり0.25〜1.5部の酸化亜鉛と、pHを8.5以上にするためのアルカリと、安定剤と、グアニジン、ジチオカルバミン酸塩及びチアゾール化合物から成る群より選択される1つ以上の促進剤とを含むカルボキシル化ニトリルブタジエン配合ゴム組成物を用意するステップと、b)前記カルボキシル化ニトリルブタジエン配合ゴム組成物にフォーマを浸漬するステップと、c)前記カルボキシル化ニトリルブタジエン配合ゴム組成物を硬化させて前記エラストマー手袋を作成するステップとを含み、前記組成物のアクリロニトリル成分は17〜45重量%であり、前記組成物のメタクリル酸成分は15重量%未満であり、前記組成物の残りの重量を占める成分はブタジエンであり、前記カルボキシル化ニトリルブタジエン配合ゴム組成物が硬化した前記手袋は、0.05〜0.10mmの厚さの手の平領域を有し、30〜55MPaの破断時引張強度を有することを特徴とする。前記ステップa)において、前記アルカリは、配合操作の最後に加えられてもよい。d)前記エラストマー手袋の外面に、シリコーンエマルジョン若しくはシリコーン油、グリセリン溶液、シリコーンとグリセリン/グリセロールとを組み合わせた混合物、フッ化炭素離型剤、又は天然若しくは合成の炭化水素ベースの油を、前記ゴム材料基材を劣化させない量で含むコーティングを塗布するステップを更に含んでもよい。前記促進剤は、ジエチルジチオカルバミン酸亜鉛(ZDEC)、2−メルカプトベンジチアゾール亜鉛(ZMBT)、及びジフェニルグアニジン(DPG)を含んでもよい。前記促進剤は、前記グアニジン、ジチオカルバミン酸塩及びチアゾールを含み、その比は、2:1:1であってもよい。
最終の寸法−最初の寸法/最初の寸法×100
或いは、伸長の量は、未伸長の長さに対する伸長した長さの比で表すことができる。
しかしながら、復元(力が解除される際の収縮)の量は、伸長した長さ:伸長した長さ−未伸長の長さの比である。この用法は、一貫してはいないが、一般的である。例えば、弛緩状態にある未伸長の長さが10cmの弾性材料は、伸長又はバイアス力を加えることによって、少なくとも13.5cmの長さに伸長させ。そして、伸長又はバイアス力を解除すると、前記エラストマー材料は、約12cmまでの長さに回復する。
弾性係数を小さくするために組成物の酸化金属架橋剤の量をわずかに減らすように調整する場合があるが、前記架橋剤によって強度が高まり、物品が薄くても十分な強度を有するようになるので、大きな調整は必要ではない、又望ましくもない。破断するのに必要な力は手袋の厚さに比例するので、A、B、C及びDの組成物の破断力が10.1Nであるためには、前記組成物の厚さはそれぞれ0.078、0.097、0.067、及び0.067mmである必要がある。これらの厚さに基づいて、前記材料を300%伸長させるのに必要な力は、それぞれ1.4、1.0、0.9及び1.2ニュートンである。組成物Cから作成された0.067mmの厚さを有する実験用手袋は、典型的な天然ラテックス製の実験用手袋と非常に類似した特性を示すが、天然ゴム手袋と類似する特性を有する手袋を作成するのに全ての前記組成物を使用することができることが分かる。
また、この方法により、伸縮性がより向上した手袋が得られる。前記伸縮性は、所定の伸長量における力の読み取り値により又は弾性係数(所定の伸長量での断面積単位当たりの力)により測定することができる。
Claims (11)
- カルボキシル化ニトリルブタジエンゴム組成物を含む基材から作成されたエラストマー手袋であって、
前記組成物は、ランダムアクリロニトリル三元重合体を含み、前記組成物のアクリロニトリル成分は17〜45重量%であり、前記組成物のメタクリル酸成分は15重量%未満であり、前記組成物の残りの重量を占める成分はブタジエンであり、
前記組成物は、前記ランダムアクリロニトリル三元重合体の乾燥ゴム100部当たり、
0〜1.5部のアルカリ性水酸化物と、
0.5〜1.5部の酸化亜鉛又は他の酸化金属と、
0.5〜1.5部の硫黄と、
0.5〜1.5部の加硫促進剤とをさらに含み、
前記手袋は、0.05〜0.09mmの厚さの手の平領域を有し、30〜55MPaの破断時引張強度を有し、
前記基材は、ASTMの試験基準D−412で規定される形状及び寸法を有する試験片(幅は3mm)に対する破断強度を10.1Nにするには、厚さを0.067〜0.097mmにする必要があり、
前記手袋はその外面に、シリコーンとグリセリン/グリセロールとを組み合わせた混合物を前記ゴム材料基材を劣化させない量で含むコーティングを有し、前記シリコーンとグリセリン/グリセロールとを組み合わせた混合物における前記シリコーンと前記グリセリン/グリセロールとの量の比率は、1:3〜1:6であることを特徴とするエラストマー手袋。 - 請求項1に記載のエラストマーで手袋あって、
前記シリコーンとグリセリン/グリセロールとを組み合わせた混合物が、1つの手袋につき、30mgから最大で500mgの量で存在することを特徴とするエラストマー手袋。 - 請求項2に記載のエラストマーで手袋あって、
前記シリコーンとグリセリン/グリセロールとを組み合わせた混合物の量が、30〜100mgの範囲であることを特徴とするエラストマー手袋。 - 請求項1に記載のエラストマーで手袋あって、
前記手袋の厚さが0.06〜0.09mmであることを特徴とするエラストマー手袋。 - 請求項4に記載のエラストマー手袋であって、
前記手袋は、厚さが0.08〜0.09mmであり、ASTMの試験基準D−412で規定される形状及び寸法を有する試験片(幅は3mm)に対する破断強度が8.7〜10.2Nであることを特徴とするエラストマー手袋。 - 請求項5に記載のエラストマー手袋であって、
前記手袋のASTMの試験基準D−412で規定される形状及び寸法を有する試験片(幅は3mm)に対する破断強度が9.1〜9.85Nであることを特徴とするエラストマー手袋。 - 請求項5に記載のエラストマー手袋であって、
前記手袋のASTMの試験基準D−412で規定される形状及び寸法を有する試験片(幅は3mm)に対する破断強度が9.18〜9.5Nであることを特徴とするエラストマー手袋。 - エラストマー手袋を作成するための方法であって、
a)カルボキシル化ニトリルブタジエンゴムエマルジョンと、前記カルボキシル化ニトリルブタジエンゴムの乾燥ゴム100部当たり0.25〜1.5部の酸化亜鉛と、pHを8.5以上にするためのアルカリと、安定剤と、グアニジン、ジチオカルバミン酸塩及びチアゾール化合物から成る群より選択される1つ以上の促進剤とを含むカルボキシル化ニトリルブタジエン配合ゴム組成物を用意するステップと、
b)前記カルボキシル化ニトリルブタジエン配合ゴム組成物にフォーマを浸漬するステップと、
c)前記カルボキシル化ニトリルブタジエン配合ゴム組成物を硬化させて前記エラストマー手袋を作成するステップとを含み、
前記組成物のアクリロニトリル成分は17〜45重量%であり、前記組成物のメタクリル酸成分は15重量%未満であり、前記組成物の残りの重量を占める成分はブタジエンであり、
前記カルボキシル化ニトリルブタジエン配合ゴム組成物が硬化した前記手袋は、0.05〜0.09mmの厚さの手の平領域を有し、30〜55MPaの破断時引張強度を有し、
前記手袋の基材は、ASTMの試験基準D−412で規定される形状及び寸法を有する試験片(幅は3mm)に対する破断強度を10.1Nにするには、厚さを0.067〜0.097mmにする必要があり、
前記手袋はその外面に、シリコーンとグリセリン/グリセロールとを組み合わせた混合物を前記ゴム材料基材を劣化させない量で含むコーティングを有し、前記シリコーンとグリセリン/グリセロールとを組み合わせた混合物における前記シリコーンと前記グリセリン/グリセロールとの量の比率は、1:3〜1:6であることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項8に記載の方法であって、

前記手袋は、厚さが0.08〜0.09mmであり、かつASTMの試験基準D−412で規定される形状及び寸法を有する試験片(幅は3mm)の破断強度が8.7〜10.2Nであることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項8に記載の方法であって、
前記促進剤は、ジエチルジチオカルバミン酸亜鉛(ZDEC)、2−メルカプトベンジチアゾール亜鉛(ZMBT)、及びジフェニルグアニジン(DPG)を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項8に記載の方法であって、
前記促進剤は、前記グアニジン、ジチオカルバミン酸塩及びチアゾールを含み、その比は、2:1:1であることを特徴とする方法。
