なお、関連する技術が特許文献1に記載されている。
● 複数のエントリ: CCN対応表は、所与のHSVLI(又はプリフィクス)に対して複数のエントリを有しており、この点が、ループ化を避けるためにアドレス(又はプリフィクス)ごとに単一エントリしかもたない従来の転送器とは異なる。従って、CCN転送エンジンにおける整合結果は、CS、PIT、又はFIBにおいて検索が発生するかどうかに応じて、実際のコンテンツパケット、関心、又はフェースのリストへのポインタになり得る。
● 優先順位メカニズム: 一実施形態において、CCN転送エンジンは、複数の整合が得られそうな整合結果に対して、特定の優先順位を適用する。例えば、3進法のコンテンツ・アドレッサブル(対応可能)メモリ(TCAM)を使い、優先順位エンコーダは、複数の整合エントリの最初のエントリを選択するために用いられ、これによって、ロードする順番がそのまま優先順位を表すように用いられる。ツリーベース・ルックアップ(検索)を使い、システムは、同一ノードにおける優先順位を多数のエントリに対して明示的に付けることができる。CCN転送エンジンは三つの対応表(CS、PIT、及びFIB)を組み合わせると共にこれらの複数の整合は異なる表からエントリされるので、各表が上述したようなエントリのリストを有し得ることに注目されたい。
1. パケットが入力フェースを介してネットワークから受信される。
2. 検索(ルックアップ)は、適合された共通の検索エンジンを用い、パケットプリフィクスに実行される。この時点まで、二つのCCNパケットタイプ(即ち、関心パケットとコンテンツパケット)の取扱いに違いはない。
3. 検索結果は、CSからのコンテンツパケット、PITからの関心、又はFIBからのフェースであり、CCNのパケットタイプに基づいてパケットの更なる処理を制御することができる。
4. パケットタイプ及び処理の後の結果次第では、着信パケットが一つ以上の出力フェースを介して送信され、CSからのコンテンツパケットが入力フェースを介して送信され、又は、着信パケットが落される。
● PIT: 保留関心の整合があった場合、CSにおいて局所的に利用可能なものではいまだに満たされたことがなかったこのコンテンツパケットの消費者が存在している。転送エンジンは、保留関心のソースである全てのフェースへコンテンツパケットを送信し、コンテンツパケットをCSへ入力し、保留関心を取り除くことができる。これらのステップは、共通の検索エンジンのコンテンツ(及び他のデータ構造)を変更することを含むが、これらのステップは、リアルタイムではなく、バックグラウンドにおいて実行されることに注目されたい。
● CS: CSエントリの優先順位は低いので、CS整合はコンテンツパケットにおいて保留関心がないことを示唆する。一般に、このことが、所望されないコンテンツのためにCS記憶装置を消費することを避けたいので、パケット処理を終了する。あるいは、転送器は、後処理が着信コンテンツパケットのコピーがCS内に既に記憶されているか、記憶されていない場合、関心の欠如とは無関係にそのコピーをCSに追加すべきかどうか、を判断するより融通の利いた方針を実施することができる。
● FIB: FIB整合は、コンテンツパケットに保留関心がないことを示唆し、転送器の動作はCS整合と同じである。
● 整合なし: 整合なしは、コンテンツパケットに保留関心がないことを意味し、転送器の動作はCS整合と同じである。
● PIT: PIT整合は、この照会が既に転送されたことを示す。着信フェースが保留関心のためのフェースリストに加算され、終了時期が更新される。
● CS: CS整合は、既に処理されている保留関心は存在しないが、着信照会を満たす局所的データがあることを示す。整合しているコンテンツパケットは、着信フェースを介して、送信される。
● FIB: FIB整合は、保留関心も局所的コンテンツもないので、着信関心は、要求されたコンテンツの可能性のあるソースへ向けて転送されることを示す。関心パケットは、FIB整合に関連付けられる各フェースを介して送られ、入力フェースに関連してPITへ入れられる。この最終ステップは、共通の検索エンジンのコンテンツを変更することを含むが、主要パケット転送経路ではなく、バックグラウンドで行われることに注目されたい。
● PIT: PITエントリに対する不正整合は、(コンテンツパケットのネーム又は関心のプリフィクスからの)関連しているプリフィクスを有する保留関心が存在している場合が考えられるが、関心は他の照会項があるため、実際の整合ではない。この場合、より短いプリフィクス長に対して新しい検索が実行され、処理を繰り返すとともに不正整合を回避することができる。或いは、低速経路が、概念上の転送アルゴリズムを直接実施するために、他のデータ構造を使用することができる。PITエントリに対する不正整合がハッシュ衝突である場合もあり、その場合、低速経路が、共通の検索エンジンがロードされたCS及びFIBのデータ構造を使用するために起動される。
● CS: CSエントリに対する不正整合は、関心の全ての照会項に整合しないか又はコンテンツパケットに符合しないコンテンツストアにコンテンツが存在している場合がある。着信関心パケットの場合、照会は、発見されたコンテンツパケットに関するコンテンツに対して成された可能性があるので、不正整合の結果が、他のCSデータ構造の走査への入力となっている場合もある。着信コンテンツパケットの場合、CSからの整合が既に保留関心の不在を示すので、パケットは、そこに存在していなかったので、破棄されるか又はCSへ挿入される。ここでも、不正整合がハッシュ衝突による場合が考えられ、その場合、共通の検索エンジンがロードされたFIBデータ構造を使用するために、低速経路を起動させる必要がある。
● FIB: FIBは、プリフィクス整合に対してのみ動作するので、照会用語に基づいたFIBエントリにおいて不正整合の発生はあり得ない。ただし、ハッシュ衝突の発生はあり得る。CCNについては、IPとは異なり、いくらかの無駄な帯域幅のコストを除いて、満たすとは思われないようなフェースを介して不必要に関心パケットを転送することで問題を生じることはない。重要なのは、正しい宛て先がリストにエントリされていることである。このため、FIBエントリで起こり得るハッシュ衝突を無視することは許容範囲である。ここでも、共通の検索エンジンがロードされたFIBデータ構造を用いて低速経路を検査し起動させることが可能である。

Claims (5)
- コンテンツ中枢ネットワーク(CCN)において、CCNパケット転送を容易にするコンピュータ実施方法であって、
階層構造化可変長識別子(HSVLI)を有するCCNパケットを受信し、
少なくとも前記CCNパケットのHSVLIに基づいて転送エンジンにおいて最長プリフィクス整合に基づく検索を実行することを含み、
前記転送エンジンが、ハードウェアベースの最長プリフィクス整合検索エンジンを用いて実施され、
前記検索を実行することが、コンテンツストア、保留関心表、及び転送情報ベースの少なくとも一つに対する整合を検索し、前記検索に基づいて転送判定することを含む、
コンピュータ実施方法。 - 前記HSVLIが、コンテンツを表し、階層的に構造化され、最も一般的レベルから最も特定レベルまで順序付けされた連続的な構成要素を含み、それぞれの識別子の長さが固定されていない、請求項1に記載のコンピュータ実施方法。
- 前記転送エンジンが、前記コンテンツストア、前記保留関心表、及び前記転送情報ベースからのエントリを含む対応表を含む、請求項1に記載のコンピュータ実施方法。
- 前記CCNパケットが前記HSVLIに対応している関心又はコンテンツを含むかどうかを判断することを更に含む、請求項1のコンピュータ実施方法。
- コンテンツに対する関心を含む前記CCNパケットと前記コンテンツストアで整合が得られた前記検索に応答して、前記コンテンツストアにすでに記憶されているコンテンツを前記関心のソースへ送信することを更に含む、請求項1のコンピュータ実施方法。
