Description
The present invention relates to a robot and a control method thereof, and more particularly to a robot including an arm and a control method thereof.
In recent years, wheel type robots (hereinafter referred to as service robots) equipped with arms have become widespread. Furthermore, the range of activities of service robots has expanded to a narrow environment such as a home environment. Therefore, miniaturization and lightweight type of service robots are desired. In particular, in order to move in a narrow environment, it is desired to reduce the size of the carriage that supports the service robot.
On the other hand, it is desired that the arm of the service robot secures a wider work range (from near to far from the service robot). Therefore, it is necessary for the service robot to extend the arm up and down, front and rear, left and right.
At this time, if the arm is extended greatly, the center of gravity of the service robot becomes higher, or the position where the center of gravity is projected on the floor surface moves away from the center of the carriage. As a result, the service robot may become unstable. Therefore, in order to improve the stability of the service robot, it is necessary to take measures such as increasing the size of the carriage serving as a scaffold or increasing the mass. However, if the above measures are taken, it is difficult to reduce the size and weight of the service robot.
However, the technique described in
The present invention has been made to solve such problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a robot and a control method thereof that can ensure stability during operation with a simple configuration.
According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a robot main body, an arm connected to the robot main body and having at least one of a joint mechanism and an expansion / contraction mechanism, a moving means for moving the robot main body, When the arm operates, an object detection unit that detects an object existing in the surroundings, and when the arm operates, the robot body is caused to approach the object detected by the object detection unit, and a part of the robot body is moved to the object And a stabilizing means for contacting the robot. With such a configuration, the stability of the robot can be ensured during operation of the arm with a simple configuration.
Furthermore , the robot according to the first aspect further includes elevating means for elevating the robot main body, the robot main body having a fixing member whose relative position with respect to the robot main body is fixed, and the stabilizing means is by raising and lowering the robot arm by said elevating means, Ru is brought into contact with the fixing member to the object. Thereby, the stability of the robot can be ensured when the arm is operated by using a general lifting mechanism of the robot.
Further, the stabilization means may bring the fixing member into contact with the object from above by lowering the robot body by the elevating means.
Further, the stabilization means may press the fixing member against the object when the fixing member comes into contact with the object. As a result, the robot can obtain a larger frictional force on the contact surface, and the stability can be further improved.
Further, the stabilization means may cause the robot body to directly contact the object. Thereby, the stability of the robot can be ensured without providing a special member.
In addition, when the robot main body comes into contact with the object, the stabilization means generates a propulsive force so that the robot main body advances toward the object by the moving means, thereby causing the robot main body to move to the object. It may be pressed against. As a result, the robot can receive a larger frictional force than the contact state from the object, so that the stability of the robot can be improved.
Further, at least a part of the side surface of the robot main body may be formed by a flat surface, and the stabilizing means may abut the flat surface against the object. As a result, the area of the contact surface is increased, and stability can be improved.
The robot body may be formed so that a frictional force is generated on a contact surface with the object.
The robot according to the first aspect further includes proximity detecting means for detecting that a distance between the robot main body and the object is a predetermined distance, and the stabilizing means includes the robot main body and the robot body. When the proximity detection unit detects that the distance to the object is the predetermined distance, a part of the robot main body may be brought into contact with the object. Accordingly, a part of the robot can be brought into contact with the object in an appropriate proximity state.
Further, the apparatus further comprises contact detection means for detecting that the robot main body and the object are in contact with each other, and the stabilization means detects that the robot main body and the surrounding object are in contact with each other. In this case, a part of the robot main body may be pressed against the object.
The moving means may be a cart, and the cart may be capable of sliding at least a part of the cart relative to the robot body. Thereby, even when there is no space below the object, a part of the robot body can be brought into contact with the object.
Moreover, when the said trolley | bogie receives external force from the side surface of the said trolley | bogie, at least one part of the said trolley | bogie may be slid in the direction of the said external force. As a result, during normal movement of the robot, the carriage is not narrowed, and stability during normal movement can be ensured.
Further, when the cart receives an external force from the surrounding object and at least a part of the cart slides relative to the robot body, the sliding distance is measured, and based on the sliding distance, You may further provide the distance measurement means to measure the distance of a robot main body and the said surrounding object.
Further, the arm may extend in a direction in which a part of the robot body and the object come into contact with each other.
The arm may be arranged at an upper end of the robot body.
Further, the stabilization means may abut an upper end portion of the robot body against the object.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a robot main body, an arm connected to the robot main body and having at least one of a joint mechanism and an expansion / contraction mechanism, a moving means for moving the robot main body, An object detecting means for detecting an object existing in the surroundings, wherein when the arm is operated, the moving body causes the robot body to approach the object detected by the object detecting means. And a robot control method in which a part of the robot body is brought into contact with an object detected by the object detection means. The robot control method according to this aspect has the same technical features as the robot according to the first aspect, and therefore has the same operations and effects as the robot.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a robot that can ensure stability during operation with a simple configuration and a control method thereof.
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. A configuration example of the
The
The
The carriage 13 (moving means) has a plurality of wheels and moves the
The sensor 14 (object detection means) is provided in the
なお、制御部は、例えば、制御処理、演算処理等を行うCPU(Central Processing Unit)と、CPUによって実行される制御プログラム、演算プログラム等が記憶されたROM(Read Only Memory)と、処理データ等を記憶するRAM(Random Access Memory)等により構成されている。
Next, the control unit of the
The
The
Further, as shown in FIG. 3, the
The lifting
The arm control unit 24 outputs control signals to the motors of the
Subsequently, an operation example of the
The
When the side surface of the robot
The raising / lowering
At this time, the position of gravity applied to the
In the operation example shown in FIG. 4, the side surface of the
In FIG. 6, a predetermined distance p is a distance that is approximately half of the distance that the fixing
In addition, the high-friction
As described above, the
Further, the
Note that the direction in which the
In addition, in the present embodiment, the operation of pressing the fixing
A second embodiment according to the present invention will be described. A side view of the
Subsequently, an operation example of the
When the
When the
As described above, when the
In the present embodiment, the operation of pressing the
Here, at least a part of the side surface of the
As shown to Fig.11 (a), when the robot
A third embodiment according to the present invention will be described. A side view of the
Next, an operation example of the
At this time, since the work table 91 has a box shape, there is no space below the
On the other hand, in the
Here, the slide mechanism of the
The
The
FIG. 15A is a diagram illustrating the operation of the slide mechanism while the
FIG. 15B is a diagram illustrating the operation of the slide mechanism when the
FIG. 15C is a diagram illustrating the operation of the slide mechanism when the
As described above, in the
Furthermore, as described above, when the
Note that the
In addition, as illustrated in FIG. 16, the
