Claims (4)
- 軸方向イメージング領域を画定する実質的に円筒状のクライオスタットにおいて、前記クライオスタットは、液体ヘリウムにより浸漬冷却される超電導磁石であって、使用時に実質的に均質の磁場を前記イメージング領域内に提供する超電導磁石を収容し、かつ、前記クライオスタットの特定の部材を冷却するために設けた冷凍装置を備え、前記冷凍装置は、前記超電導磁石を収容する極低温流体容器内で蒸発したヘリウムを冷却して凝縮させ、液化したヘリウムを前記極低温流体容器内に還流可能に前記クライオスタットに接続してなり、また、前記冷凍装置は、運転中に前記冷凍装置の長手方向の軸に沿って往復運動を行う磁性材料を備え、前記冷凍装置の長手方向の軸は、前記円筒状のクライオスタットの軸に垂直かつその軸上に中心を置く円であって前記極低温流体容器とその外側の円筒状真空ジャケットとの間の中央に位置する仮想的な同心円に対して、実質的に接線方向に沿って設けられ、さらに前記冷凍装置は、前記円筒状のクライオスタットの該円筒の軸方向中央部に配設され、かつ前記クライオスタットの側方に配設されることを特徴とするクライオスタット。
- 前記冷凍装置の長手方向の軸が実質的に前記同心円の平面内にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のクライオスタット。
- 前記冷凍装置の長手方向の軸が鉛直方向に対して20°までの範囲内にあることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のクライオスタット。
- 前記冷凍装置の長手方向の軸が鉛直方向にあることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のクライオスタット。
