自身の基端部が前記主体金具に固定されるとともに、屈曲部にて前記中心電極側へと曲げられ、自身の先端部が前記中心電極との間で間隙を形成する接地電極とを備えるスパークプラグであって、
前記接地電極は、ニッケルを93質量%以上含有する金属により形成され、
前記接地電極の中心軸に直交する断面において、前記接地電極の厚さ方向に沿って延び、前記断面における最大厚さの1/3の長さを有する平行な二辺と、前記接地電極の幅方向に沿って延び、前記断面における最大幅の1/3の長さを有する平行な二辺とからなり、前記中心軸を中心とする長方形を取り、前記長方形の中心と重なる前記接地電極を構成する結晶粒と、前記長方形を構成する各辺の各中点に重なる4つの前記結晶粒とについて、前記厚さ方向に沿った最大長さをC(μm)とし、前記幅方向に沿った最大長さをB(μm)としたとき、
前記屈曲部のうち前記接地電極の中心軸の曲率半径が最小となる位置を通り、かつ、前記中心軸と直交する断面において、
前記接地電極の断面積が3.0mm2以下であり、

Claims (5)
- 軸線方向に貫通する軸孔を有する筒状の絶縁体と、
前記軸孔の先端側に挿設された中心電極と、
前記絶縁体の外周に設けられた筒状の主体金具と、
自身の基端部が前記主体金具に固定されるとともに、屈曲部にて前記中心電極側へと曲げられ、自身の先端部が前記中心電極との間で間隙を形成する接地電極とを備えるスパークプラグであって、
前記接地電極は、ニッケルを93質量%以上含有する金属により形成され、
前記接地電極の中心軸に直交する断面において、前記接地電極の厚さ方向に沿って延び、前記断面における最大厚さの1/3の長さを有する平行な二辺と、前記接地電極の幅方向に沿って延び、前記断面における最大幅の1/3の長さを有する平行な二辺とからなり、前記中心軸を中心とする長方形を取り、前記長方形の中心と重なる前記接地電極を構成する結晶粒と、前記長方形を構成する各辺の各中点に重なる4つの前記結晶粒とについて、前記厚さ方向に沿った最大長さをC(μm)とし、前記幅方向に沿った最大長さをB(μm)としたとき、
前記屈曲部のうち前記接地電極の中心軸の曲率半径が最小となる位置を通り、かつ、前記中心軸と直交する断面において、
前記接地電極の断面積が3.0mm2以下であり、
Cに対するBの比の平均値が1.5以上10以下であることを特徴とするスパークプラグ。 - 前記屈曲部の任意の位置を通り、かつ、前記中心軸と直交する断面において、
前記比の平均値が1.5以上10以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のスパークプラグ。 - 前記断面において、前記接地電極のうち前記長方形で囲まれた領域を除いた領域の硬度が、ビッカース硬度で130Hv以上であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のスパークプラグ。
- 前記比の平均値が4以上であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載のスパークプラグ。
- 前記屈曲部の任意の位置を通り、かつ、前記中心軸と直交する断面において、
前記接地電極の断面積が2.2mm2以下であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載のスパークプラグ。
