Description
本発明は、医療アブレーションシステム、および医療アブレーションシステムを製造および使用する方法の領域に関する。本発明は、患者の組織に対するマッピングカテーテルのアンカ性能を促進するように構成され位置される、マッピングカテーテルを有する医療アブレーションシステムの他、医療アブレーションシステムおよびマッピングカテーテルを製造および使用するシステムおよび方法に更に関する。
Claims (15)
- 患者の血管内に挿入される長尺状をなす本体を備え、同長尺状をなす本体の先端部は、
複数の電極を含む先端側の部分と、
同先端側の部分の近傍に位置される基端側の部分と、
同基端側の部分と先端側の部分との間に位置される縮小部とを含み、同縮小部は、先端側の部分の基端側に位置される隣接する部分および基端側の部分の先端側に位置される隣接する部分の両者の対応する断面寸法より小さな断面寸法を有することと、
先端部は、密閉された空間からの解放時に予め設定された形状に屈曲する形状記憶材料から少なくとも部分的に形成されることと、同予め設定された形状は、先端側の部分によって、少なくとも部分的に形成される第1のループからなることと、同第1のループは、基端側の部分の長手方向軸に直交することと、
該縮小部は、第1のループが固定位置において保持され、圧力が先端側の方向に基端側の部分の長手方向軸に沿って作用される場合に、縮小部が第1のループを通して先端側に前進するように湾曲することとを特徴とするマッピングカテーテル。 - 前記マッピングカテーテルの先端側の部分は、先端側の方向に先端ほど細くなる形状に形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のマッピングカテーテル。
- 前記マッピングカテーテルの縮小部は、基端側の方向に先端ほど細くなる形状に形成されることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のマッピングカテーテル。
- 前記縮小部は、第1のループが固定位置において保持され、圧力が先端側の方向に基端側の部分の長手方向軸に沿って作用される場合に、縮小部が第1のループを通して先端側に前進するような寸法に選択的に湾曲することを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載のマッピングカテーテル。
- 前記予め設定された形状は、縮小部によって、少なくとも部分的に形成される第2のループからなることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載のマッピングカテーテル。
- 前記第1のループおよび第2のループは、平行であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のマッピングカテーテル。
- 前記第1のループは、第2のループの横断方向の寸法より大きい横断方向の寸法を有することを特徴とする請求項5又は6に記載のマッピングカテーテル。
- 前記縮小部は、複数の電極の近傍に位置されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載のマッピングカテーテル。
- 前記縮小部は、円形である横断方向の断面形状を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載のマッピングカテーテル。
- 前記縮小部は、矩形であり且つ第1の寸法部と、同第1の寸法部に直交し第1の寸法部以下の大きさである第2の寸法部とを含む横断方向の断面形状を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至8のうちのいずれか一項に記載のマッピングカテーテル。
- 前記縮小部の第1の寸法部は、第2の寸法部の10倍以下の大きさであることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のマッピングカテーテル。
- 前記縮小部の第2の寸法は、先端側の部分の最大の横断方向の断面の寸法部より小さいことを特徴とする請求項10又は11に記載のマッピングカテーテル。
- 前記縮小部に位置される少なくとも1つの電極を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至12のいずれか一項に記載のマッピングカテーテル。
- 先端側の部分、基端側の部分、および長手方向の部分を有するアブレーションカテーテルと、同アブレーションカテーテルは、患者の血管内に挿入され、本体を含み、アブレーションカテーテルの少なくとも一部に沿って延びる少なくとも1つの冷却液排水領域を形成することと、
アブレーションカテーテルに少なくとも部分的に位置される案内管と、
アブレーションカテーテルの本体の先端側の部分に連結され、患者の組織を切除する膨張要素と、
案内管内に挿入可能な長尺状をなす本体を含むマッピングカテーテルと、該長尺状をなす本体は、案内管の先端部から拡張可能な先端部を含み、該長尺状をなす本体の先端部は、
複数の電極を含む先端側の部分と、
同先端側の部分の近傍に位置される基端側の部分と、
同基端側の部分と先端側の部分との間に位置される縮小部とを含み、同縮小部は、先端側の部分の基端側に位置される隣接する部分および基端側の部分の先端側に位置される隣接する部分の両者の対応する断面寸法より小さな断面寸法を有することと、
該先端部は、密閉された空間からの解放時に予め設定された形状に湾曲する形状記憶材料から少なくとも部分的に形成されることと、同予め設定された形状は、先端側の部分によって、少なくとも部分的に形成される第1のループからなることと、同第1のループは、基端側の部分の長手方向軸に直交することと、
該縮小部は、第1のループが固定位置において保持され、圧力が先端側の方向に基端側の部分の長手方向軸に沿って作用される場合に、縮小部が第1のループを通して先端側に前進するように湾曲することと、
アブレーションカテーテルおよびマッピングカテーテルに連結される制御モジュールとを備え、同制御モジュールは、アブレーションカテーテルによってマッピングカテーテルの電気的な活動のマッピングおよび患者の組織のアブレーションを制御することとを特徴とするアブレーションシステム。 - 前記アブレーションシステムは、冷凍アブレーションシステムあるいは高周波アブレーションシステムのうちの1つであることを特徴とする請求項14に記載のアブレーションカテーテル。
