(式中、Lは、有機リガンドであり、
R1乃至R8は、それぞれ独立して、水素であるか、ハロゲン置換あるいは非置換の直鎖または分岐鎖の飽和または不飽和の(C1−C20)アルキル、(C3−C12)シクロアルキルまたは(C3−C12)シクロアルキル(C1−C20)アルキルであって、
X1は、水素、ハロゲン、シアノ、直鎖または分岐鎖の飽和または不飽和の(C1−C20)アルキル、(C1−C20)アルコキシ、トリ(C1−C20)アルキルシリル、トリ(C5−C20)アリールシリル、(C3−C12)シクロアルキルまたは(C5−C20)アリールであり、前記X1のアルキル、アルコキシまたはアリールは、ハロゲン、(C1−C20)アルキルシリル、(C5−C20)アリールシリル、モノまたはジ(C1−C20)アルキルアミノまたはアミノから選択される一つ以上がさらに置換可能であって、
mは、1乃至4の整数である。)
(式中、R21乃至R23は、それぞれ独立して、水素、ハロゲン置換あるいは非置換の直鎖または分岐鎖の(C1−C10)アルキル、(C1−C10)アルキルが置換あるいは非置換のフェニルまたはハロゲンであって、R24乃至R26は、それぞれ独立して、水素、ハロゲン置換あるいは非置換の直鎖または分岐鎖の(C1−C10)アルキル、(C1−C10)アルキルシリルまたはハロゲンであって、R27は、ハロゲン置換あるいは非置換の直鎖または分岐鎖の(C1−C10)アルキルまたは(C1−C10)アルキル置換あるいは非置換のフェニルまたはハロゲンであって、x、y及びzは、それぞれ独立して1乃至4の整数である。
(式中、Xはハロゲンであり、L、R1、R2、R3、R4、R5、R6、R7、R8、X1及びmは、化学式1における定義と同一である。)
アセチルアセトネートを補助リガンドとして有する錯化合物(Cvz−F 1 −acac)の製造
ピコリン酸を補助リガンドとして有する錯化合物(Cvz−F 1 −pic)の製造
アセチルアセトネートを補助リガンドとして有する錯化合物(Cvz−F 2 −acac)の製造
ピコリン酸を補助リガンドとして有する錯化合物(Cvz−F 2 −pic)の製造
本発明によるイリジウム錯化合物を含む燐光系有機電気発光素子の製作
上記実施例1乃至実施例4で製造されたイリジウム錯化合物であるCvz-F1-acac(実施例1)、Cvz-F1-pic(実施例2)、Cvz-F2-acac(実施例3)、Cvz-F2-pic(実施例4)を発光層のドーパントとして使用した有機電界発光素子を製作した。
本比較例では、米国特許第7,154,114号に開示されているIr(ppy)3(fac-tris(2-phenylpyridyl)Ir(III)を発光層のドーパントとして使用し、前記実施例5と同様に有機電界発光素子を製造した。
本実験例では、前記実施例1乃至4で製造されたイリジウム錯化合物であるCvz-F1-acac(実施例1)、Cvz-F1-pic(実施例2)、Cvz-F2-acac(実施例3)、Cvz-F2-pic(実施例4)を発光層のドーパントとして使用した実施例5の有機電界発光素子、及び比較例のIr(PPy)3をドーパントとして使用した有機電界発光素子に対して電気光学的特性を測定した。

Claims (4)
- 第1電極と、下記の構造から選択されるイリジウム錯化合物が含まれた発光層と、第2電極とを含むことを特徴とする、有機電界発光素子。
- 前記第1電極と発光層との間にバッファ層を含み、前記発光層と第2電極との間に電子伝達層及び電子注入層を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 前記バッファ層は、正孔注入層と正孔伝達層を含むことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 前記イリジウム錯化合物は、前記発光層のドーパントとして使用されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の有機電界発光素子。
