Description
1.少なくとも1つの重合性化合物および溶媒Lを含んで成る溶液L1、ならびに場合により、重合性化合物およびL1の溶媒と同じかまたは異なる溶媒を含んで成る少なくとも1つの溶液L2を、
2.使用される溶媒に不溶性の、又は部分的にのみ溶解性の、1つ又は1つより多いガスGと、接触させて(前記溶液のうち少なくとも1つは、乳化剤または他の助剤を含んで成る)、
ガスGを気泡として囲む溶液による通路および/または壁の発生の結果として、フォームを形成し、
3.次の工程段階において重合させる、
工程によってポリマーフォームを製造する方法に関し、本方法は、前記溶液およびガスGを微小流体法条件下に接触させて、ガスGの気泡を発生させることを特徴とする。
二重結合の分解および重合モノマーの長鎖の形成を伴う不飽和モノマーの重合、
ポリアダクトへのモノマーの重付加、特に、少なくとも2個の官能基を有する種々の分子の結合による、ポリウレタンおよびポリウレアの形成、
モノマーを結合させて、小分子(例えば水)を除去することによる重縮合、
を意味するものと理解される。
1.混合通路MK(存在する場合)の短い特徴的長さ、および出口通路Kの小さい直径(好ましくは10マイクロメートル〜1000マイクロメートル、特に100マイクロメートル〜750マイクロメートル)であって、それによって拡散工程が化学物質の充分な混合を生じうる;
2.小さい内容積であって、一般に1立方ミリメートル〜1立方センチメートルのオーダーである;
3.流れを収束するための反応器における出発物質の組合せであって、該反応器において、ガスGおよび溶液Lが狭い出口通路Kを通って出て行き、該通路の直径は、数マイクロメートル〜数百マイクロメートルであり、その長さは該直径の数倍である。
1.気泡の大きさが、数マイクロメートル(例えば10μm)〜数ミリメートル(例えば2mm)である。これは、極めて低い多分散性(2〜5%)を有するモノモードフォームの生成に特に好適である。
2.ポリマーフォーム密度が、ガスGおよび溶液Lの流量によって正確に調整され(装置の不正確さの範囲内)、従って、所望のように選択することができ、例えば、10-5〜102g/cm3、特に5x10-3〜1g/cm3である。
3.フォーム安定性に応じて時間を延長でき、連続相が流体であり低粘性である工程によって、重合が進められるので、気泡が物理的平衡構造で配置される。次に、特に高液体含有量を有するモノモードフォームが、秩序フォーム構造(緊密「球充填」)を形成する。次に(かつ、重合の前に)、付加的にフォーム密度を減少させるために、減圧を適用して液体を除去することができる。
(A)モノエチレン性不飽和モノマー
(B)架橋剤
(C)開始剤
(D)乳化剤
(G)ガス
(L)溶媒。
本発明により、重合性水性混合物を微小流体ユニットで処理して、加工安定性の、所望のように付形できるフォームを得る。重合性水性混合物は、成分(A)として、例えば、直鎖または分岐鎖カルボン酸またはそれらの無水物またはカルボキサミド、または直鎖または分解鎖アルカノールから形成されるカルボン酸エステル、またはモノエチレン性不飽和アルキル−またはアリールスルホン酸から成る、モノエチレン性不飽和モノマーを含んで成る。
重合性水性混合物用の有用な架橋剤は、少なくとも2個のエチレン性不飽和二重結合を有するモノマーを包含する。そのようなモノマーの例は、下記の物質である:N,N’−メチレンビスアクリルアミド、ポリエチレングリコールジアクリレートおよびポリエチレングリコールジメタクリレート、トリメチロールプロパントリアクリレート、トリメチロールプロパントリメタクリレート、エチレングリコールジアクリレート、プロピレングリコールジアクリレート、エチレングリコールジメタクリレート、プロピレングリコールジメタクリレート、ブタンジオールジアクリレート、ヘキサンジオールジアクリレート、ヘキサンジオールジメタクリレート、アリルメタクリレート、エチレンオキシドおよびプロピレンオキシドから形成されたブロックコポリマーのジアクリレートおよびジメタクリレート、ジ−またはトリアクリレート化または−メタクリレート化多価アルコール、例えばグリセロールまたはペンタエリトリトール、トリアリルアミン、テトラアリルエチレンジアミン、ジビニルベンゼン、ジアリルフタレート、分子量106〜4000のポリエチレングリコールのポリエチレングリコールジビニルエーテル、トリメチロールプロパンジアリルエーテル、ブタンジオールジビニルエーテル、ペンタエリトリチルトリアリルエーテルおよび/またはジビニルエチレンウレア。下記のような水溶性架橋剤を使用するのが好ましい:例えばN,N’−メチレンビスアクリルアミド、ポリエチレングリコールジアクリレートおよびポリエチレングリコールジメタクリレート(これらは、エチレンオキシド2〜400molの、ジオールまたはポリオール1molへの付加生成物から誘導される)、エチレンオキシド2〜400molのジオールまたはポリオール1molへの付加生成物のビニルエーテル、エチレングリコールジアクリレート、エチレングリコールジメタクリレート、またはエチレンオキシド6〜20molのグリセロール1molへの付加生成物のトリアクリレートおよびトリメタクリレート、ペンタエリトリチルトリアリルエーテルおよび/またはジビニルウレア。
使用される重合開始剤は、重合条件下に遊離基に分解するあらゆる化合物、例えば、過酸化物、ヒドロ過酸化物、過酸化水素、過硫酸塩、アゾ化合物およびいわゆるレドックス触媒であってよい。水溶性開始剤を使用するのが好ましい。重合性水性混合物への電子線の作用による重合の開始も可能である。しかし、前記タイプの開始剤の不在下に、光開始剤の存在下の高エネルギー放射線の作用によって、重合を誘発することもできる。ある場合には、種々の重合開始剤の混合物、例えば、過酸化水素およびペルオキソ二硫酸ナトリウムまたはペルオキソ二硫酸カリウムの混合物を使用するのが有利である。過酸化水素およびペルオキソ二硫酸ナトリウムの混合物は、任意の所望の比率で使用できる。好適な有機過酸化物は、例えば下記の物質である:アセチルアセトンペルオキシド、メチルエチルケトンペルオキシド、t−ブチルヒドロペルオキシド、クメンヒドロペルオキシド、t−アミルペルピバレート、t−ブチルペルピバレート、t−ブチルペルネオヘキサノエート、t−ブチルペルイソブチレート、t−ブチルペル−2−エチルエキサノエート、t−ブチルペルイソノナノエート、t−ブチルペルマレエート、t−ブチルペルベンゾエート、ジ(2−エチルヘキシル)ペルオキソジカーボネート、ジシクロヘキシルペルオキシジカーボネート、ジ(4−t−ブチルシクロヘキシル)ペルオキソジカーボネート、ジミリスチルペルオキソジカーボネート、ジアセチルペルオキソジカーボネート、アリルペルエステル、クミルペルオキシネオデカノエート、t−ブチルペル−3,5,5−トリメチルヘキサノエート、アセチルシクロヘキシルスルホニルペルオキシド、ジラウリルペルオキシド、ジベンゾイルペルオキシドおよびt−アミルペルネオデカノエート。特に好適な重合開始剤は、水溶性アゾ開始剤、例えば、2,2’−アゾビス(2−アミジノプロパン)ジヒドロクロリド、2,2’−アゾビス(N,N’−ジメチレン)イソブチルアミジンジヒドロクロリド、2−(カルバモイルアゾ)イソブチロニトリル、2,2’−アゾビス[2−(2’−イミダゾリン−2−イル)プロパン]ジヒドロクロリドおよび4,4’−アゾビス−(4−シアノ吉草酸)である。
乳化剤は、フォームの製造および安定化に極めて重要である。陰イオン、陽イオンまたは非イオン乳化剤、または相互に適合性の乳化剤の混合物を使用することができる。低分子量または高分子量乳化剤(保護コロイド)、好都合であることが分かっている異種または同種の乳化剤の組合せを使用することができる。その他に、粒子もフォームの安定化のために使用でき、特に、例えばWO2007/068127A1に記載されているポリマー粒子などを使用できる。
使用されるガスは、好ましくは、空気、二酸化炭素、ヘリウム、ネオン、アルゴン、六フッ化硫黄、特に窒素である。さらに、ハロゲン化炭化水素、例えば、ジクロロジフルオロメタン、1,2−ジクロロ−1,1,2,2−テトラフルオロエタンを使用することもできる。これらのガスの混合物も当然使用できる。
使用される溶媒は、好ましくは、使用される反応物に不活性の液体、特に水である。
吸収力=ポリマーフォーム含有ティーバッグの重さ−ブランク試験のティーバッグの重さ/ポリマーフォームの初期重さ。
前記と同じ手順であるが、ティーバッグをしたたらす代わりに、遠心器において250gの加速度で3分間回転させる。
保持力=回転後のティーバッグの重さ−ブランク試験のティーバッグの重さ/ポリマーフォームの初期重さ。
AS=20g/[lg*測定時間(秒)]。
1. ポリマーフォームが、開始時から均一に膨潤する;
2. ポリマーフォームが、数秒後に均一に膨潤する;
3. ポリマーフォームが、30秒後に均一に膨潤する;
4. ポリマーフォームが、全時間にわたって不均一に膨潤するが、小部分のみが作用を受ける;
5. ポリマーフォームが、全時間にわたって不均一に膨潤するが、有意部分が作用を受ける。
6. ポリマーフォームが、全時間にわたって表面のみで膨潤する。
下記の塩を蒸留水1リットルに溶解させる:
2.00g KCl
2.00g Na2SO4
0.85g NH4H2PO4
0.15g (NH4)2HPO4
0.19g CaCl2
0.23g MgCl2
使用される塩は無水でなければならない。
前記試験で得た試料を使用して、充分に膨潤した物質の安定性を、4等級の尺度で評価した。等級1〜4は下記を意味する:
1. ポリマーフォームを、ペトリ皿から非損傷で除去することができ、裂けることなく180°曲げることができる;
2. ポリマーフォームを、ペトリ皿から非損傷で除去することができる;
3. ポリマーフォームが、ペトリ皿から除去する際に裂ける。
4. ポリマーフォームが、分解して、非凝集性ゲル塊を生じる。
−採取;
−分散および/または;
−保存。
下記の流れを、550μmの出口通路直径を有する図1の微小流体反応器に導入する:
QL1:溶液L1:2〜3.3mL/分
QL2:溶液L2:2〜3.3mL/分
QG:ガス:0.4mL/分。
温度:20℃
時間:30〜60秒。
構造:気泡の密充填(六角最高密度充填)
形態:大部分が連続気泡フォーム
比表面積:1.5x104m2/m3
吸収力:15g/g。
Claims (9)
- 下記の工程:
1.次の工程段階において重合させる少なくとも1つの重合性化合物および溶媒Lを含んで成る溶液L1を、
2.使用される溶媒に不溶性の、又は部分的にのみ溶解性の、1つ又は1つより多いガスGと接触させ、
前記溶液は、乳化剤または他の助剤を含んで成り、
ガスGを気泡として囲む溶液による通路および/または壁の発生の結果として、フォームを形成する、
工程によって行なわれるポリマーフォームの製造法において、
前記溶液およびガスGを微小流体法条件下に接触させて、ガスGの気泡を発生させること、
前記溶液およびガスGを、マイクロリアクターの出口通路Kにおいて接触させ、ガスGおよび前記溶液が、出口通路K内で共通の流れ方向に進むこと、
出口通路Kの直径が10マイクロメートル〜1000マイクロメートルであり、出口通路K1つあたりの内容積が10 -5 mm 3 〜1cm 3 であり、出口通路の長さがその直径の数倍に相当すること、及び
ガスGは前記重合性化合物によって完全に囲まれ、その後少しずつ出口通路Kから出て行くこと、
を特徴とする、前記方法。 - 前記溶液L1に加えて、前記溶液L1における前記重合性化合物および前記溶媒と、それぞれ独立して同じか又は異なる重合性化合物および溶媒を含んで成る、少なくとも1つの溶液L2を使用する、請求項1記載の方法。
- 使用されるガスGが、空気、窒素、二酸化炭素、ヘリウム、ネオン、アルゴン、六フッ化硫黄、ハロゲン化炭化水素またはそれらの混合物であることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記溶液が、各場合に、少なくとも1つのモノエチレン性不飽和モノマー、架橋剤、開始剤および乳化剤を含んで成ることを特徴とする、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 溶媒が、水である、または水を含んで成ることを特徴とする、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- (a)使用される重合性化合物が、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、アクリルアミド、メタクリルアミド、ビニルスルホン酸、2−アクリルアミド−2−メチルプロパンスルホン酸、またはそれらの混合物であり、
(b)使用される架橋剤が、N,N’−メチレンビスアクリルアミド、エチレングリコールジアクリレート、プロピレングリコールジアクリレート、ブタンジオールジアクリレート、エチレングリコールジメタクリレート、プロピレングリコールジメタクリレート、アリルメタクリレートまたはそれらの混合物である、
ことを特徴とする、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 使用される架橋剤が、少なくとも2個のエチレン性不飽和二重結合を有するモノマー、少なくとも1個の重合性エチレン性不飽和基および少なくとも1個の他の官能基を有する化合物、少なくとも2個の官能基を有する化合物、多価金属イオン、または多官能性塩基であることを特徴とする、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 重合性化合物の重合が、遊離基に分解する化合物、高エネルギー放射線、昇温またはレドックス触媒によって開始されることを特徴とする、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 体液の吸収に使用される衛生用品、創傷を覆う包帯材料、シーリング材料、土壌改質剤、土壌補充物または包装材料を製造する方法において、請求項1から8までのいずれか1項に記載の方法により得られるポリマーフォームを使用する、前記方法。
