Claims (8)
- 投影システムを動作させる方法であり、前記投影システムが、異なる色の幾つかの固体光源と、切り替え可能素子のアレイを持つ少なくとも1つの空間光変調器とを有し、
幾つかの照明期間の間、前記光源のうちの少なくとも1つによって前記アレイが照明され、スクリーン上に画像を投影するよう適時に空間的に光が変調されるように前記アレイがアドレスされ、前記の変調は、パルス幅変調によって前記切り替え可能素子を切り替えることにより実現され、照明期間は、前記空間光変調器が或る色で照明され、この色の光を前記スクリーンに向ける、規定された時間期間である方法であって、
前記アレイの前記幾つかの照明期間の少なくとも1つの間、時間について変調された光を放射するよう前記光源を制御することにより、前記投影システムのグレースケール解像度が高められ、
前記の時間についての変調は、光が前記スクリーンに向けられている、前記切り替え可能素子の少なくとも1つの切り替え状態の間、少なくとも1つの光パルスを生成するように行われ、前記光パルスは、前記切り替え可能素子の最も短い切り替え状態よりも短い持続期間をもつことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、前記アレイが順次に前記光源によって照明されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1又は2に記載の方法であって、前記光源が、前記アレイのアドレス期間中、オフに切り替えられることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1又は2に記載の方法であって、前記光が前記スクリーン上に向けられる、前記切り替え可能素子の少なくとも1つの切り替え状態の間、前記光源が、低減した量の光を放射するよう制御されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1又は2に記載の方法であって、前記アレイの連続するアドレス期間の間に、前記切り替え可能素子の幾つかが、異なる時間に切り替えられ、前記光が前記スクリーン上に向けられる、結果として生じる前記切り替え状態が、前記光パルスの放射と適時に重なるように、前記切り替え可能素子の切り替え時間が制御されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1又は2に記載の方法であって、前記照明期間が、各色のために、グレースケール解像度及び光の必要とされる量、並びに/又は前記画像における対応する色の最大値に応じて、動的に調節されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1又は2に記載の方法であって、画像生成のための必要に応じて、混ぜ合わされた基本色又は白色の光を生成するために、前記照明期間の少なくとも1つの間、2つ以上の光源が作動させられることを特徴とする方法。
- 異なる色の幾つかの固体光源と、切り替え可能素子のアレイを持つ少なくとも1つの空間光変調器と、制御ユニットとを有する投影装置であって、前記制御ユニットが、請求項1乃至7の1つ又は幾つかの方法に従って、前記投影装置を動作させるよう設計される投影装置。
