Description
The present invention relates to a head lice shampoo containing 3-phenoxybenzyl-d-cis-trans-chrysanthemate (hereinafter referred to as Smithlin) as a lice control component.
There are three types of lice parasitic on humans: head lice, body lice, and white lice. Among them, head lice infest the head and lay eggs on the hair. Eggs change around 0.5 mm in about a week, and the larval stage is about 1-2 weeks. It is known that adults have a lifespan of about one month and lay about 200 eggs during this period. After World War II, it was said that it was almost extinct in Japan. However, as exchanges with foreign countries flourished, it was brought into Japan and is spreading again. Currently, Smithlin is the only medicinal component that has received regulatory registration as a lice control agent for humans, and there are shampoo and powder control agents. Since the medicine cannot completely control the eggs, each type should be applied several times every two days to kill the hatched larvae.

In the present invention, a thickener is preferably blended in order to adjust the viscosity of the composition. As such a thickening agent, a polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene block polymer that is easy to use and contains 4 to 200 units of ethylene oxide and 5 to 100 units of propylene oxide is particularly effective. For example, polyoxyethylene (160) polyoxypropylene (30) block polymer, polyoxyethylene (20) polyoxypropylene (20) block polymer, polyoxyethylene (120) polyoxypropylene (40) block polymer and the like can be mentioned. .
The blending amount of the block polymer is usually in the range of 1.0 to 40% by weight of the total amount of shampoo, and may be appropriately adjusted in consideration of the viscosity of the shampoo composition.
The shampoo composition of the present invention is specified to have a viscosity of 100 cps or less (25 ° C.) in order to be stored in a foam discharge container and maintain a suitable foam state during discharge. If the viscosity exceeds 100 cps, uniform foam cannot be obtained, and it is not preferable because it becomes a foam that is difficult for the palm to process. The “viscosity” here is a value measured at 25 ° C. using a B-type viscometer (manufactured by Tokyo Keiki Co., Ltd.).
In addition to the above components, the shampoo composition of the present invention includes (d) purified water and various additives such as preservatives, bactericides, buffers, as long as the purpose of the present invention is not hindered. Agents, pH adjusters, antioxidants, fragrances, pigments, foam stabilizers, chelating agents, conditioning agents, and the like can be blended.
As the antioxidant, sodium edetate and / or dibutylhydroxytoluene are particularly effective, and the pH of the shampoo composition is preferably adjusted to near neutral, for example, 4 to 8 using a pH adjuster.
In the present invention, the shampoo composition is contained in a foam discharge container, and the foam discharge container mixes a certain amount of shampoo composition with a certain amount of air and discharges it from the container as a foam state when used. Any type may be used. Specifically, for example, a squeeze foamer used by pressing the torso of a soft container with fingers, a pump former used by pressing the head of a cap equipped with a pump mechanism with fingers, and the like. The pump former is easy to use.
The mixture obtained by mixing the shampoo composition in the container with air is usually discharged in a foam form from the container outlet by passing through the porous film. Examples of the porous film include a net, a sponge, and a baked product. Examples include union. From the viewpoint of usability, a thin net is preferable, and the mesh is preferably about 30 to 300 mesh. If it is less than 30 mesh, the pores are too large and foaming is worsened. On the other hand, if it exceeds 300 mesh, the shampoo composition tends to be clogged, which is not preferable. Examples of such a net material include nylon and polyester, and one or a plurality of such materials are provided.
A typical pump former is a foam discharge container configured as shown in FIG. That is, in the pump former (1), by pushing down the nozzle portion 2, the two
Using the thus obtained shampoo shampoo of the present invention, when the discharged foam is treated, for example, on the hair of the head, the shampoo composition reaches the root of the hair and adheres sufficiently to the body surface of the lice. It can enhance the lice control effect against head lice. Moreover, since the discharged foam is adjusted to a foam state in which the head can be easily processed for the palm of the hand, it is extremely practical. It should be noted that the lice shampoo of the present invention is of course also effective against body lice and white lice.
Next, the lice shampoo of the present invention will be described in more detail based on specific examples and test examples.
これの粘度は、60cps(25℃)であった。
A suitable amount of 2.4 g of lauryldimethylamine oxide, 5.0 g of POE (20) sorbitan monooleate, and 20.0 g of POE (160) POP (30) block polymer were mixed and stirred, and then adjusted to pH 6 with hydrochloric acid. . Next, 0.4 g of Smithlin, 0.001 g of sodium edetate, and a small amount of perfume were added and stirred, and the remaining amount of purified water was added to obtain 100 g of a shampoo composition. The viscosity of this was 60 cps (25 ° C.).
50 g of this shampoo composition was accommodated in the foam discharge container 1 shown in FIG. 1 to obtain the shampoo for controlling lice according to the present invention.
The nozzle part 2 of the foam discharge container 1 was pushed down, about 10 g of the discharged foam was taken in the palm of the hand, treated on the head hair where head lice infestation was observed, and left for about 5 minutes. The agent was easy to use, and the foam reached the hair root sufficiently. When this treatment was repeated three times every two days, head lice were completely exterminated.
According to Example 1, various lice shampoos shown in Table 1 were prepared, and the tests shown below were conducted. The Smithlin content in the shampoo composition was 0.4% by weight, the POE (160) POP (30) block polymer was used as the thickener, and the content was 20.0% by weight.
(1) Lice extermination effect A piece of 2 × 2 cm raised wool cloth was placed in a 100 mL polyethylene cup, and 10 adults of about 8 years old were released after the emergence of body louse. 50 mL of foam or liquid discharged from the test shampoo was applied onto a piece of wool cloth and left for 2 minutes. Thereafter, the wool cloth pieces were thoroughly washed with tap water in a polyethylene cup for 1 minute. Next, the test insect was removed from the wool cloth piece and transferred to a 100 mL polyethylene cup with filter paper on the bottom. Thereafter, the specimen was placed in a thermostatic chamber at 30 ° C. and observed for life and death one day later to determine the death rate. In addition, tap water was used instead of the sample shampoo as an untreated zone.
(2) Usability test When the hair of the head was treated by discharging about 10 g from the shampoo, the usability such as whether or not it was easy to wash the hair by spreading the ejected material was evaluated. The results are indicated by ○ (easy to use and can be felt that the discharged material has reached the root of the hair), Δ, × (not easy to handle by the method of washing hair for the palm).
As a result of the test, the lice shampoo of the present invention was excellent in both lice control effect and usability, and was highly practical. In addition, from the evaluation of Examples 1 to 4, it was confirmed that alkyldimethylamine oxide is preferable as the foaming agent.
On the other hand, in Comparative Example 1 using a normal container instead of a foam discharge container, the lice control effect and the feeling of use are inferior, and it is clear that the lice control effect is enhanced by discharging the shampoo composition in a foam state. is there. Also, as in Comparative Example 2, when an anionic surfactant was used as the foaming agent, or when the viscosity of the shampoo composition exceeded 100 cps (Comparative Example 3), the lice removal effect and usability were satisfactory. It wasn't going.
The lice shampoo of the present invention may be used not only for human lice control but also for pets and other insecticide / miticide applications.
