Description
2006年2月1日に出願された米国仮特許出願番号第60/764,151号明細書(その開示全体が参照により本明細書に援用される)の米国特許法第119条(e)項による利益が本出願により主張される。
コーティングポリマー溶液は、およそ70:30(重量/重量)のイソプロピルアルコール/水溶媒系中で調製され、ここでポリマーは、約9wt/volのポリビニルピロリドンK−90であった。溶液中には、約0.03wt%のUV活性化可能な架橋剤(ESACURE(商標)KIP 150、Sartomer)が含まれていた。
別の方法は、コーティングポリマー用の架橋剤を含有する別個の第2の溶液を使用することである。第2の溶液は、コーティングポリマー溶液が塗布される前に、又はコーティングポリマー溶液が塗布された後に、水膨潤性外表面を有する基材へ塗布することができる。次に、両方の溶液が塗布された後に、コーティングが架橋される。

Claims (24)
- 基材表面へ親水性コーティングを塗布する方法であって、
水膨潤性材料を少なくとも一部に含む表面を有する基材を供給すること、
該基材表面を、(i)架橋された滑らかな親水性コーティングを形成するように架橋可能な水溶性ポリマー及び(ii)架橋された滑らかな親水性コーティングを形成するように重合可能な水溶性モノマーの少なくとも1つを含む溶液と接触させて該水膨潤性材料を膨潤させること、並びに
架橋された滑らかな親水性コーティングを形成することを含み、
該親水性コーティングが、基材表面と絡み合い、且つ基材表面へしっかりと固着されている、基材表面へ親水性コーティングを塗布する方法。 - 前記溶液は、水、アルコール及びそれらの混合物から成る群から選択される少なくとも1つの溶媒を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
