Description
均質の基本スリップ1が製造される。基本スリップ(SiO2−水−スリップ)10kgを作るために、内側に石英ガラスがコーティングされた内容積約20リットルのドラムミル中に、天然石英原料を溶融して得られた粒径250μm〜650μmの範囲内の非晶質石英ガラス粒子2を8.2kg、伝導率が3μS未満である脱イオン水3を1.8kg混合した。石英ガラス粒子2は、高温塩素化法(Heisschlorierverfahren)で事前に精製する。クリストバライト含有量が1重量%未満になるように留意する。
ベーススリップ1は、実施例1の記載に従って製造及び均質化される。実施例1によるフィラメント追加材料の代わりに、均質なベーススリップ1に、平均粒径約5μm(D50値)の、球形の非晶質SiO2粒子5を、固体含有量が80重量%に達するまで混入する。代替的に、D50値が15μm、30μm若しくは40μmの粒子、又はそれらの混合物を用いることもできる。
Claims (15)
- 非晶質SiO2粒子を含む懸濁液を生成し、該懸濁液から多孔性未焼結体を形成し、該未焼結体は乾燥され、不透明石英ガラスを形成しながら焼結によって圧縮される不透明石英ガラスの製造方法であって、未焼結体(6)が、SiO2マトリクスと、該SiO2マトリクス内に埋め込まれる石英ガラスフィラメント(4)とから形成され、該フィラメントの体積分率が、前記不透明石英ガラスの体積の10%未満であることを特徴とする不透明石英ガラスの製造方法。
- 前記石英ガラスフィラメント(4)は、5μm〜100μmの範囲内の外径を有する石英ガラス繊維として存在することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記フィラメント(4)の体積分率は、前記乾燥している不透明石英ガラスの体積の5%未満であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記非晶質SiO2粒子は、最大200μmまでの粒径を有し、1μm〜60μmの範囲内の粒径を有するSiO2粒子が最大体積分率を占めることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記SiO2粒子は、50μm未満であるD50値によって区別される粒径分布を有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記SiO2粒子は、SiO2出発顆粒を湿式粉砕することによって製造されることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記非晶質SiO2粒子のSiO2含有量が、少なくとも99.9重量%であることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 非晶質SiO2粒子を含む懸濁液の鋳造成形及び乾燥によって生成される多孔性のSiO2マトリクスを含む不透明石英ガラス部材を製造するための半製品であって、前記マトリクス内に石英ガラスフィラメント(4)が埋め込まれ、前記フィラメントの体積分率が前記不透明石英ガラスの体積の10%未満であることを特徴とする半製品。
- 前記石英ガラスフィラメント(4)は、5μm〜100μmの範囲内の外径を有する石英ガラス繊維として存在することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の半製品。
- 前記フィラメント(4)の体積分率が、5%未満であることを特徴とする請求項8又は9に記載の半製品。
- 前記SiO2マトリクスのSiO2含有量が、少なくとも99.9重量%であることを特徴とする請求項8〜10のいずれか一項に記載の半製品。
- 請求項8〜11のいずれか一項に記載の半製品を焼結することによって得られる部材であって、不透明石英ガラスから成るマトリクスを含み、該マトリクス内に、透明石英ガラスから成るガラス質の領域が分散されており、該領域の体積分率は10%未満である部材。
- 石英ガラス繊維から成る前記透明なガラス質の領域は、5μm〜100μmの範囲内の外径を有して生成されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の部材。
- 前記透明なガラス質の領域の体積分率が、5%未満であることを特徴とする請求項12又は13に記載の部材。
- 前記不透明石英ガラスから成るマトリクスのSiO2含有量が、少なくとも99.9重量%であることを特徴とする請求項12〜14のいずれか一項に記載の部材。
