Claims (11)
- 2つの離隔された脚部と、
前記脚部をそれらの上端部で互いに連接し、前記脚部をそれらの上端部で互いから所定の固定距離だけ離隔するクラウンコネクタと
を備える外科用ステープルであって、
前記脚部は、それらの尖った下端部よりも上の領域では実質的に一定の断面を有し、
前記脚部の一方は、そこから、前記他方の脚部から離れる方向に横方向に延在する一体型リングを有して形成され、前記リングは、前記脚部に垂直に向けられ、同様の外科用ステープルの一方の脚部を受け取るように寸法設定されたアパーチャを有し、
前記ステープルは、前記尖った下端部が組織表面に貫入した後に前記2つの脚部が互いに向けて曲がって湾曲構成を取り、前記表面よりも下で組織を寄せ集めて前記組織を縫縮することを可能にするように設計されることを特徴とする外科用ステープル。 - 前記一体型リングは、円形アパーチャを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の外科用ステープル。
- 前記アパーチャは、前記他方の脚部の最大断面寸法よりも少なくとも約20%大きい直径を有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の外科用ステープル。
- 前記リングは、前記クラウンコネクタと実質的に平面状になるように位置合わせされることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の外科用ステープル。
- 形状記憶材料からなり、前記形状記憶材料は、前記2つの脚部が実質的に平行であり、組織表面に嵌植された後に互いに向けて曲がって湾曲構成になり、前記表面よりも下で組織を寄せ集めて前記組織を縫縮するように処理されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の外科用ステープル。
- 非形状記憶材料からなり、組織表面に脚部が貫入する過程中に前記2つの脚部が互いに向けて曲げられて湾曲構成になり、それにより前記表面よりも下で組織を寄せ集めて前記組織を縫縮するのを容易にするように設計されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の外科用ステープル。
- 前記クラウンコネクタは、非直線状の弾性区域を含むことを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の外科用ステープル。
- 前記クラウンコネクタは、U字形区域またはS字形区域を含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の外科用ステープル。
- 請求項7に記載の複数の外科用ステープルと、患者の脆弱な解剖学的部分を覆い、前記解剖学的部分の周りの境界を定めるのに十分なサイズのメッシュ材料の可撓性織物状パッチとを含み、前記可撓性織物状パッチを通して前記ステープルを嵌植できることを特徴とするヘルニア修復キット。
- 前記パッチは、ポリマーからなる非伸張性の撚り糸から織られた材料から形成され、各前記脚部から互いに反対方向に横方向に延在するリングを有する1つの追加のステープルを含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のキット。
- 請求項8に記載の複数の外科用ステープルと、患者の脆弱な解剖学的部分を覆い、前記解剖学的部分の周りの境界を定めるのに十分なサイズのメッシュ材料の可撓性織物状パッチとを含み、前記可撓性織物状パッチを通して前記ステープルを嵌植することができ、前記ステープルは、ヒト患者の腹腔内圧の瞬間的な上昇を受けるときに前記U字形またはS字形区域が撓むように弾性率を有する材料から形成されることを特徴とするヘルニア修復キット。
