前処理後の普通紙に、色材と水とを含み前記前処理液と反応する少なくとも1種のインク組成物を噴射して画像を形成する工程を具備することを特徴とする。

一方、以下の成分を用いてインク組成物を調製した。インク組成物の調製にあたっては成分を混合し、スターラーで1時間攪拌した。その後、1μmのメンブランフィルターでろ過した。

なお、顔料としてのカーボンブラックCAB−O−JET300を、イエローCAB−O−JET270Y、シアンCAB−O−JET250C、あるいはマゼンタCAB−O−JET260Mに変更することによって、カラーインクが得られる。
まず、普通紙に前処理液を100%dutyで印刷した後、ブラックインクで文字を印刷した。乾燥後、文字におけるにじみの発生の有無を調べ、以下の基準で評価した。評価は、前述の普通紙について行なった。

まず、普通紙に前処理液を100%dutyで印刷した後、ブラックインクを100%dutyベタ印刷した。乾燥後、ベタ印刷部の画像濃度を、分光濃度計X-Riteにより測定した。反射率を求めてΔTとし、以下の基準で評価した。

画像濃度測定と同様に、普通紙に前処理液を100%dutyで印刷した後、ブラックインクを100%dutyベタ印刷することによりサンプルを得た。レーザー変位計によりコックリングの程度を求め、紙の凹凸を以下の基準で評価した。

得られた結果を、下記表2にまとめる。以上の3つの評価のうち、“△”が0または1つであれば許容範囲である。“△”が2つ以上の場合、あるいは1つでも“×”があればNGである。

- 3−メトキシ−3−メチル−1−ブタノールおよびイソプレングリコールからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種のブタン誘導体と、水と、金属塩と、蛍光増白剤とを含有する無色の前処理液を普通紙に付着させて前処理する工程、および
前処理後の普通紙に、色材と水とを含み前記前処理液と反応する少なくとも1種のインク組成物を噴射して画像を形成する工程を具備することを特徴とするインクジェット記録方法。 - 前記画像の形成は、1種類のインク組成物を用いて行なわれることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のインクジェット記録方法。
- 前記画像の形成は、2種類以上のインク組成物を用いて行なわれることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のインクジェット記録方法。
- インクジェットプリンターにてインク組成物を普通紙に画像を形成する前に、前記普通紙に付着させる前処理液であって、3−メトキシ−3−メチル−1−ブタノールおよびイソプレングリコールからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種のブタン誘導体と、水と、金属塩と、蛍光増白剤とを含有することを特徴とするインクジェット記録用前処理液。
- 前記水は、40〜90重量%の量で含有されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の前処理液。

- 前記金属塩は、2〜30重量%の濃度で含有されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の前処理液。
- 前記蛍光増白剤は、スチルベン系化合物、ジアミノスチルベン系化合物、クマリン誘導体、ピラゾリン誘導体、ピレン誘導体、およびチアゾール誘導体からなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の前処理液。
- 前記蛍光増白剤は、0.2〜10重量%の濃度で含有されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の前処理液。
- 10重量%以下の湿潤剤をさらに含有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の前処理液。
- メチルセルロース類、エチルセルロース類、ポリビニルアルコール類、ポリビニルピロリドン類、および多糖類からなる群から選択される水溶性高分子をさらに含有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の前処理液。
- 界面活性剤をさらに含有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の前処理液。
- 25℃における粘度が20mPa・s以下であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の前処理液。
