Claims (14)
- 試料中の標的を分析するための装置に用いる第1のカートリッジであって、該装置は、電源を有し、該装置は、該装置に対して移動可能なカートリッジ支持部をさらに有し、該標的は、励起光に応答して発光光を発生させることが可能であり、
該第1のカートリッジは、
励起光を生成するための第1の光源と、
該電源から該光源に電力を提供するための連結器と、
該励起光を該標的に方向付けるための第1の光学系と
を備え、
該第1のカートリッジは、該カートリッジ支持部と着脱可能に係合され、かつ、該装置に対して該カートリッジ支持部とともに移動可能なように適合されている、第1のカートリッジ。 - 第2の励起光を生成するための第2の光源と、該第2の励起光を前記標的に方向付けるための第2の光学系とをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の第1のカートリッジ。
- 前記第1の励起光および前記第2の励起光の波長はそれぞれ同じであるが、偏光が異なる、請求項2に記載の第1のカートリッジ。
- 前記第1の光源および前記第2の光源ならびに前記第1の光学系および前記第2の光学系を支持し、前記第1の励起光および前記第2の励起光を前記標的に方向付けるためのそれぞれの選択された位置に、該第1の光源および該第2の光源を移動させる可動支持部をさらに備える、請求項2に記載の第1のカートリッジ。
- 前記励起光と前記第1の光学系との組み合わせは、放射光を生成し、該放射光の一部は、前記標的を透過して、強度が減衰した発光光を生成することが可能である、請求項1に記載の第1のカートリッジ。

該標的からの発光光を受け、該標的からの該発光光を該検出器に方向付けるように構成された第2の光学系と
を備えている、システム。 - 前記第2の光学系は、前記第1のカートリッジに組み込まれている、請求項6に記載のシステム。

- 前記第2の着脱可能なカートリッジは、(i)第2の励起光を生成するための第2の光源であって、前記標的は、該第2の励起光に応答して第2の発光光を生成することが可能である、第2の光源と、(ii)該第2の励起光を該標的に方向付けるための第3の光学系とを備え、
前記装置は、第4の光学系を含む読取ヘッドをさらに備え、該第4の光学系は、前記第1の励起光と該第2の励起光とを該標的に方向付けるために、前記第1の着脱可能なカートリッジおよび該第2の着脱可能なカートリッジと協働する、請求項9に記載のシステム。 - 前記第1の着脱可能なカートリッジおよび前記第2の着脱可能なカートリッジの両方は、それぞれのカートリッジが使用され得る検出の種類を示す印を有し、前記装置は、該印を検出することが可能なカートリッジ検出器をさらに備えている、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 試料中に試薬を注入するように動作可能な着脱可能な注入カートリッジをさらに備え、該着脱可能な注入カートリッジは前記カートリッジ支持部に着脱可能に係合されるように適合されている、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記装置は、電源をさらに備え、前記第1のカートリッジは、該装置に位置する該電源から前記第1の光源に電力を提供するための連結器をさらに備えている、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 試料内の標的を分析するための方法であって、
請求項1に記載の第1のカートリッジを第2のカートリッジに交換することであって、該交換は、該第1のカートリッジを前記カートリッジ支持部から取り外し、該第2のカートリッジを該カートリッジ支持部に係合させることによって行われる、ことと、
該第2のカートリッジを用いて試料内の標的を分析することと
を包含する、方法。
