Description
ス5の外径より大きい内径の封口金型32を用いて電池ケース5の開口部の終端を電池ケース5の内側へ折り曲げると、電池ケース5の開口部の終端はかしまるものの、電池ケース5の外径は封口金型32の内径寸法に従い、縮径後の電池ケース5の外径よりも大きくなり、また封口板1と電池ケース5の間に介在させて圧縮させた絶縁ガスケット4も電池ケース5の外径に従い圧縮量が緩和される。このため、絶縁ガスケット4の側面部は電池ケース5の半径方向の全周にわたり均一な圧縮が得られ難い。
に45°以上90°以下に傾けてかしめて封口をしたことにより、封口性能と密封性能が向上し、高温度環境下に曝されても漏液が抑制され耐漏液性の高い電池が可能となる。
の高さとリフロー処理後のコイン形二次電池の高さを測定し、コイン形二次電池の軸方向の膨張量を確認している。また、リフロー処理後にはコイン形二次電池の内部抵抗も測定した。
比較例1は上記実施例と同様な縮径を行い、縮経後の封口工程では図11に示されるように縮径後の電池ケースの開口部が封口金型32の入り口部に触れて、縮径後の電池ケース5の開口部の終端が座屈しないようにするために、封口金型32の内径Pを図6(a)に示した縮径金型21の内径Qより0.02mmの大きな内径を持つ封口金型32を用い、封口してコイン形二次電池を比較例1として作製した。
比較例2は、実施例1と同様の作製を行い、封口金型20は、図7(b)に示される封口金型20の先端部の傾斜角度Kが30°になるものを使用し、電池ケース5の開口部の終端を内側への曲げ角度Kを30°に折り曲げたコイン形二次電池を比較例2として作製した。以下の(表1)に結果を示す。

Claims (2)
- 周縁部に絶縁ガスケットを有した封口板の内部にセパレータと負極材を収納する第1の工程と、前記封口板に非水電解液を注液した後、正極材を収納する第2の工程と、前記封口板に電池ケースを被せる第3の工程と、未封口の電池ケースを縮径金型に挿入しかしめて封口する第4の工程を有する扁平形電池の製造方法であって、前記第4の工程において、前記絶縁ガスケットの側面の圧縮率と前記絶縁ガスケットの開口部の圧縮率が同じとなるように、電池ケースの側面を電池半径方向に縮径すると同時に同一金型内で電池ケースの開口部を電池ケースの内側にある封口板側へ傾けてかしめて封口することを特徴とする扁平形電池の製造方法。
- 第4工程において電池ケースを縮径金型に挿入する前に予め電池ケースの開口部を電池ケースの内側にある封口板側へ傾けるように予備かしめ後、電池ケースの側面を電池半径方向に縮径すると同時に同一金型内で電池ケースの開口部を電池ケースの内側にある封口板側へ傾けてかしめて封口することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の扁平形電池の製造方法。
