Description

318.13gm シロップ(MMA中24%PMMA)
39.58gm MMAモノマー
3.03gm トリメチロールプロパントリメタクリレート(TRIM)
8.49gm PMA25ペースト(t−ブチルペルオキシマレイン酸)
1.56gm ジオクチルナトリウムスルホスクシネート
0.68gm ブチルメタクリレート中85%リン酸化ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート
9.96gm 磁気特性を有するステンレス鋼フレーク
を秤取し、28℃の温度で混合した。1分間混合した後、0.91グラムの蒸留水を混合物に添加した。次に、ポンプと好適な蒸気凝縮トラップとを用いて真空下(24〜25inHg)で混合物を減圧処理した。約3分間の混合・減圧処理の後、シリンジを用いて2.58グラムの水酸化カルシウムスラリー(シロップ中の34%)および1.33グラムのエチレングリコールジメルカプトアセテートを添加した。45秒間の追加の混合・減圧処理の後、混合物を正方形デザインの容器中に注いで約0.5インチの厚さの層を形成した。容器は、注ぎ入れる前に消磁されたAISI301ステンレス鋼製の厚さ0.040インチの金属底を有していた。混合された材料をミキサーから取り出してそれを容器中に注ぐのに約20秒間を要した。
実施例1に記載の金属底容器を消磁し、続いて、実施例1に記載の電磁石システムおよび移動トラバースシーケンスを用いて磁化させた。実施例1で行ったのと同一の方法およびシーケンスで、キャスティング混合物の秤取、混合、および減圧処理を行った。実施例1と同様に、混合停止の約20秒後、この磁化された容器中に混合物を注いだ。キャスト品の上およびキャスティング容器の下に断熱材を配置し、そしてキャスト品を硬化させた。
なお、本発明は、特許請求の範囲を含め、以下の発明を包含する。
1.磁気特性を有する異方性粒子を含有する固体表面材料の表面内に加飾パターンを形成する方法であって、
(a)流動性固体表面材料中の磁気異方性粒子の少なくとも過半数を配向させる工程と、
(b)前記流動性固体表面材料の表面領域の一部に磁界を誘導して磁気特性を有する前記粒子の配向を前記磁界中で変化させる工程と、
(c)前記流動性固体表面材料を固化させる工程と
を含むことを特徴とする方法。
2.前記固体表面材料がアクリル樹脂で構成されることを特徴とする1に記載の方法。
3.前記固体表面材料がポリエステル樹脂で構成されることを特徴とする1に記載の方法。
4.前記異方性粒子のアスペクト比は少なくとも3のアスペクト比であることを特徴とする1に記載の方法。
5.磁気特性を有する前記異方性粒子が、鋼、ステンレス鋼、ニッケル、およびそれらの組合せから選択されることを特徴とする1に記載の方法。
6.磁気異方性粒子を含有する固体表面材料の表面内に加飾パターンを形成する方法であって、
(a)流動性固体表面材料中の磁気異方性粒子の少なくとも過半数を配向させる工程と、
(b)前記流動性固体表面材料の表面領域の一部に磁界を誘導して磁性粒子の配向を前記磁界中で変化させる工程と、
(c)前記流動性固体表面の表面をテクスチャ加工する工程と、
(d)前記流動性固体表面材料を固化させる工程と
を含むことを特徴とする方法。
Claims (1)
- 磁気異方性粒子を含有するアクリル系固体表面材料の表面内に加飾パターンを形成する方法であって、
(a)(i)カレンダーロールを使用するか、または
(ii)移動ベルト上に流動性組成物をキャストするか、若しくは、ダイプレートを介して押出し可能な未硬化アクリル系固体表面成形用組成物を押出しするかして、その後、カレンダーロールで、磁気異方性粒子により追加的に配向させることにより、
流動性固体表面材料中の磁気異方性粒子の少なくとも大部分を配向させる工程と、
(b)前記流動性アクリル系固体表面材料の表面領域の一部に磁界を、実質的に誘導して磁気特性を有する前記磁気異方性粒子の配向を前記磁界中で変化させる工程と、
(c)前記流動性アクリル系固体表面材料を固化させる工程と
を含み、磁気異方性粒子のアスペクト比が20であることを特徴とする方法。
