Description

図9〜12では、以下の7つの方法がシミュレートされ比較される。
図12は、各STAが3つの接続をサポートすること、従ってAPが各サイクルごとに各ステーションあたり9つのフレームを送ることを除けば、図11と同じ構成の場合のシミュレーション結果を示す。
図9〜12に示したように、フレーム集約により、変化するチャネル条件下でのシステム性能に中程度から大幅な改善がもたらされる。
ステップ1614で、最初のサブフレーム位置が取り出される。ステップ1615で、そのサブフレーム位置のMACサブフレームが取り出され、MACサブフレームのデコードが開始される。例えば、第1および第2のMACサブフレームがこの受信装置に送信された場合、受信装置はフレーム記述子の終了(すなわち、最後の記述子フィールドの終了)まで待ち、第1のフレームのデコードを開始する。このMACサブフレームの最初のバイトの位置はまた、図13および14の例示的集約フレーム・フォーマットに関して先に説明したように、関連する記述子フィールドの開始フィールドによって指示することもできる。
Claims (10)
- 各々がユーザ・データを含む複数のサブフレームについての集約フレームを生成する方法であって、
(a)2つもしくはそれより多くのサブフレームから集約データ・ユニット(ADU)を形成するステップと、
(b)集約フレームを生成するステップとを含み、
該集約フレームは、
(1)(i)フレームの種類を示す集約フレームヘッダと、(ii)該ADUのサブフレームの数を表す値と、(iii)該2つもしくはそれより多くのサブフレームの各々に関して、対応するサブフレームについての受信デバイスのアドレスを有するサブフレーム記述子とを含む集約フレーム記述子と、
(2)該ADUとを有し、
(i)該ADUの該2つもしくはそれより多くのサブフレームについての受信デバイスのアドレス及び(ii)該ADUの該2つもしくはそれより多くのサブフレームの各々の長さの指標は、該該集約フレーム内に、該2つもしくはそれより多くのサブフレームを有する該ADUの前方に配置されている、方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、該集約フレームについてのエラー検出/訂正情報を有する集約エラー制御フィールドを、該ADUに対して追加するステップを、さらに含む方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、
該ステップ(a)が、該サブフレームのデータ・レートに基づいて、該ADU内の該サブフレームの各々の位置の順番を決めるステップを、さらに含む方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、
該ステップ(a)について、各サブフレームが、サブフレーム・ヘッダおよびサブフレーム・データから成る方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、
該ステップ(a)について、各サブフレームがサブフレームについてのエラー検出/訂正情報を有するサブフレーム・エラー制御フィールドをさらに含む方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、
該ステップ(b)について、
各サブフレーム記述子が、関連するサブフレームについての受信デバイスに対応するアドレスと、該集約フレーム内の関連するサブフレームの位置を識別する位置情報とから成り、および
各サブフレーム記述子が、該対応するサブフレームについてのエラー検出/訂正情報を有するエラー制御フィールドから成る、ものである方法。
- 受信デバイスによりパケットを処理する方法において、
(a)該パケットのフレーム・タイプを受信するステップと、
(b)該フレーム・タイプが集約フレームである場合に、該パケットの2つもしくはそれより多くのサブフレームに対応する1つもしくはそれより多くの記述子を受信するステップであって、該1つもしくはそれより多くの記述子は、該2つまたはそれより多くのサブフレームの各々について、対応するサブフレームについての受信デバイスのアドレスを有する、ステップと、
(c)各記述子について、該対応サブフレームが該受信デバイス用のものであるか否かを決定するステップと、
(d)該受信デバイス用であると決定された各サブフレームについて、対応するデータフレームを抽出するステップと、を含み、
(i)該パケットの該2つもしくはそれより多くのサブフレームについての受信デバイスのアドレス及び(ii)該パケットの該2つもしくはそれより多くのサブフレームの各々の長さの指標は、該該集約フレーム内に、該2つもしくはそれより多くのサブフレームを有する該パケットの前方に配置されている、方法。
- 請求項7に記載の方法において、
該受信デバイス用であると決定された各サブフレームについて、該サブフレームに対応するエラー検出/訂正情報を確認するステップと、
該エラー検出/訂正情報に基づいて、1つもしくはそれより多くのエラーを訂正するステップと、をさらに含む方法。
- 請求項7に記載の方法において、
該ステップ(d)が、該パケット中の該サブフレームの位置と長さを検出するステップから成る方法。
- 請求項1ないし9のうちのいずれか1項に記載される方法を遂行するよう働く装置。
