Claims (25)
- 채널 액세스 프로토콜에 따라 패킷화된 데이터를 통신하기 위해 동작할 수 있는 무선 통신 시스템에서, 데이터 패킷들을 통신하는 개선된 방법에 있어서,송신 스테이션에서 송신될 데이터를 복수의 패킷들로 만드는 단계;상기 복수의 패킷들로부터 결합 송신을 위해 한 그룹의 패킷들을 선택하는 단계;송신 스테이션에서 선택된 패킷 그룹과 연관된 그루핑 표식을 생성하는 단계로서, 상기 그루핑 표식은 각 패킷들의 수신자들을 나타내고 동일한 패킷 그룹의 적어도 2개의 패킷들에 대한 서로 다른 수신자들을 식별하는, 그루핑 표식 생성 단계; 및선택된 패킷 그룹 및 상기 구루핑 표식을 포함하는 적어도 하나의 송신 프레임을 조립하는 단계를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 송신될 데이터는 복수의 필드들을 포함하는 매체 접근 제어(MAC) 계층 헤더들을 포함하고,상기 MAC 계층 헤더 필드들을 설정하는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 송신될 데이터는 복수의 필드들을 포함하는 물리 계층 헤더들을 포함하 고,상기 물리 계층 헤더 필드들을 설정하는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 송신 프레임을 송신하는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,적어도 하나의 수신 스테이션에서 상기 송신 프레임을 수신하는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서,적어도 하나의 수신 스테이션에서 상기 수신된 송신 프레임이 그루핑 표식을 포함하는지를 결정하는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 수신된 송신 프레임을 디코딩하는 단계; 및상기 적어도 하나의 수신 스테이션으로 보내진 상기 디코딩된 프레임으로부터 데이터를 추출하는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제7항에 있어서,만일 상기 적어도 하나의 수신 스테이션으로 보내지지 않은 추출된 데이터가 있다면, 상기 추출된 데이터를 버리는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 수신 스테이션에서 수신확인 메시지(ACK)를 생성하는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 ACK를 생성하기 전에 상기 그루핑 표식이 ACK 명령들을 포함하는지의 여부를 결정하는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 ACK 메시지를 생성하는 단계는, 만일 상기 ACK 명령들이 있다면, 상기 ACK 명령들에 따라 수행됨을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 ACK 명령들은 ACK 송신 타이밍과 관련된 정보를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서,ACK 타이밍과 관련된 상기 정보는 데이터 패킷들이 상기 송신 프레임에서 조립된 순서에 따라 얻어짐을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 무선 통신 시스템은 직교 주파수 분할 다중 액세스(OFDMA) 프로토콜에 따라 동작가능하고, 상기 ACK 명령들은 ACK 서브캐리어 세트 할당을 포함하며, 상기 ACK 서브캐리어 세트는 상기 OFDM 프로토콜에 따라 송신을 위한 상기 서브캐리어들의 서브세트를 포함하는 클러스터임을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,하나의 수신 스테이션으로부터 적어도 하나의 ACK 메시지를 수신하는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제15항에 있어서,상기 적어도 하나의 ACK 메시지는 복수의 ACK 메시지들임을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제16항에 있어서,상기 ACK 메시지들의 각각은 고유한 ACK 서브캐리어 세트를 점유함을 특징으 로 하는 방법.
- 제17항에 있어서,상기 ACK들중 개별 ACK들을 검출하기 위해 딜레이 및 상관 알고리즘을 사용하는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제17항에 있어서,상기 ACK들중에서 상기 개별 ACK들을 검출하는데 화이트니스 테스트를 사용하는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 무선 통신 시스템에서 통신하는데 동작가능한 무선 스테이션에서, 데이터 패킷의 통신을 위한 개선된 장치에 있어서,제1무선 스테이션의 송신기;송신을 위해 어느 데이터 패킷들이 함께 그루핑될 것인지를 결정하는 패킷 선택기;상기 패킷 그루핑의 표식을 생성하는 그루핑 정보 생성기로서, 상기 그루핑 표식은 각 패킷들의 수신자들을 나타내고 동일한 패킷 그룹의 적어도 2개의 패킷들에 대한 서로 다른 수신자들을 식별하는, 그루핑 정보 생성기;상기 선택된 패킷들 및 상기 그루핑 표식을 포함하는 송신 프레임을 조립하는 송신 프레임 조립기를 포함하고,상기 조립된 송신 프레임은 적어도 제2무선 스테이션으로의 송신을 위해 상기 송신기에 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제20항에 있어서, 상기 무선 통신 시스템은무선 근거리 통신망 (WLAN)임을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제21항에 있어서,상기 WLAN은 OFDMA 프로토콜에 따라 동작가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제22항에 있어서, 상기 제1무선 스테이션은WLAN 액세스 포인트(AP)인 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제23항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 제2무선 스테이션은복수의 무선 스테이션들임을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제24항에 있어서,상기 송신 프레임은 서로 다른 상기 무선 스테이션들을 주소로 하는 패킷들을 포함함을 특징으로 하는 장치.
