Description
仮に、遅延時間を固定し、複数のFM信号を出力したとすると、単に、独立した複数のΔΣ変調器を設けたことと等価である。この場合、各ΔΣ変調器の量子化ノイズが互いに無相関であるため、並列化の数を2倍にするごとにS/N比は3dB改善される。
これに対して上記実施例2のデジタルマイクロホンのように、発振周波数と同様に遅延時間もメンブレンの位置によって変化させるようにすると、並列化したそれぞれのΔΣ変調器の量子化ノイズが打ち消され、並列化数を倍にするごとにS/N比が6dB改善される利点がある。
増幅回路、バッファ回路、差動回路などのアナログ回路は不要であるから、これらのアナログ回路で生成されるノイズに相当する分のノイズが低減され、低ノイズ、かつ、高ダイナミックレンジのデジタルマイクロホンを得ることができる。

Claims (3)
- ΔΣ変調器を備えることによりデジタル信号出力するデジタルマイクロホンであって、
上記ΔΣ変調器は、
音波によって振動するメンブレンとこのメンブレンに対向させて配置された配線パターンを含む共振器と、
上記メンブレンとの対向位置によって遅延時間を異ならせる遅延回路と、
上記共振器を備えることにより上記メンブレンの振動に応じたFM信号を出力するとともに上記遅延回路を介することにより複数のFM信号を出力する発振器と、
上記各FM信号のエッジを検出する複数のエッジ検出器と、を備え、
複数の並列ΔΣ変調信号を出力するデジタルマイクロホン。 - メンブレンと配線パターンはコンデンサーの電極を構成し、メンブレンの振動により上記コンデンサーの静電容量が変化し共振器の共振周波数が変化する請求項1記載のデジタルマイクロホン。
- 配線パターンはインダクターを構成し、メンブレンの振動により上記インダクターのインダクタンスが変化し共振器の共振周波数が変化する請求項1記載のデジタルマイクロホン。
