Claims (8)
- 液晶と、反射画素電極と透過画素電極と前記反射画素電極と前記透過画素電極の間に配置された透過共通電極とを有する下部基板と、前記反射画素電極と対向する反射共通電極を有する対向基板とを備え、
単位画素内に平面視において前記反射画素電極と前記反射共通電極が重なり、前記反射画素電極と前記反射共通電極との間に印加される電圧によって前記液晶が縦方向電界モードで駆動される反射領域と、前記透過画素電極と前記透過共通電極を有し、前記透過画素電極と前記透過共通電極との間に印加される電圧によって前記液晶が横方向電界モードで駆動される透過領域とを有し、
前記反射領域と前記透過領域との間の領域に、少なくとも前記反射画素電極と前記透過共通電極と前記透過画素電極のいずれか1つとの間で電位差が生じる電極部を有することを特徴とする、半透過型液晶表示装置。 - 前記電極部は、前記反射共通電極の一部が前記反射領域から前記反射領域と前記透過領域との間の領域に延出された延出部であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の半透過型液晶表示装置。
- 前記電極部は、少なくとも一部が前記反射領域と前記透過領域との間の領域に設けられ、前記反射共通電極に入力される信号と同じ信号が入力される補助電極であることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の半透過型液晶表示装置。
- 前記反射画素電極の下方に前記反射共通電極に入力される信号と同じ信号が入力される反射板を備え、前記電極部は、前記反射板の一部が前記反射領域から前記反射領域と前記透過領域との間の領域に延出された延出部であることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の半透過型液晶表示装置。
- 前記下部基板にスイッチング素子と前記スイッチング素子に接続し前記スイッチング素子にゲート信号を供給する走査線を備え、前記電極部は、少なくとも一部が前記反射領域と前記透過領域との間の領域に配置された前記走査線であることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の半透過型液晶表示装置。
- 前記下部基板にスイッチング素子と前記スイッチング素子に供給されるゲート信号が入力される補助電極を備え、前記電極部は、少なくとも一部が前記反射領域と前記透過領域との間の領域に配置された前記補助電極であることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の半透過型液晶表示装置。
- 前記反射共通電極と前記透過共通電極とに、互いに反転した信号が供給されることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の半透過型液晶表示装置。
- 請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の半透過型液晶表示装置を備えることを特徴とする端末装置。
