Claims (12)
- 経鼻持続気道陽圧(nCPAP)システムにおいて使用するためのnCPAP装置であって、
患者側および排気側を画定し、第1および第2の流体流通回路を形成している生成器本体を有しており、
前記第1および第2の流体流通回路の各々は、
軸方向の中心線を形成している通路と、前記通路が患者側へと開いている近位端と、前記通路が排気側へと開いている遠位端と、を画定しているチューブと、
該チューブに組み合わせられた第1および第2のノズルと、
を備えており、
前記第1および第2のノズルの各々は、流体供給源へと開いている入口端と、前記通路へと開いて入口端の径に比べて小さい径を備える出口端とを画定し、前記出口端から流れの方向の軸に沿って流体のジェット気流を発するように構成されており、
前記第1および第2の流体流通回路それぞれにおいて、前記第1および第2のノズルの前記流れの方向の軸は、お互いに対して非平行であるとともに、対応する前記通路の軸方向の中心線に対しても非平行であることを特徴とする装置。 - 前記第1および第2のノズルは、前記対応する通路の軸方向の中心線に対して横方向に整列している請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1および第2のノズルは、流れの方向の軸が通路内で交差するように、対応の通路に対して配置されている請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1および第2のノズルは、流れの方向の軸が前記通路の軸方向の中心線において交差するように配置されている請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記第1および第2のノズルは、対応する流れの方向の軸によって40〜80°の範囲の内包角が形成されるように配置されている請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記チューブは、前記ノズルの出口端から前記遠位端まで延びる遠位領域と、前記出口端から前記近位端に向かって延びる中間領域と、前記中間領域から前記近位端まで延びる近位領域とを形成しており、
前記通路は、前記出口端の直近の前記中間領域における通路の直径が、前記近位領域における通路の直径に比べて大きくされた請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記第1および第2の流体回路の第1および第2のノズルの入口端が、すべて共通のマニホールドへと流通可能に接続されている請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記生成器本体は、内部に前記チューブの少なくとも一部分が配置されるハウジングであって、前記近位端に隣接する開口を形成しているハウジングを含み、
当該装置は、
1対の管腔を形成し、それぞれの管腔が対応する前記チューブの近位端に対して取り付けられるように寸法付けられているベースと、
前記管腔へと流通可能に接続され、患者の鼻孔へと流通可能に接続されるように構成されているインターフェイス部と、
を備える患者インターフェイス部をさらに有しており、
前記ハウジングおよび前記ベースは、最終的な組み立てにより、前記ベースが前記ハウジングの前記開口に入れ込まれるように構成されている請求項1に記載の装置。 - 加圧流体を供給源から前記ノズルへと供給するために、各ノズルの入口端と流通可能に接続された供給チューブと、
前記生成器本体の内部の流体の圧力を採取するために、それぞれのノズル出口端の近位で前記通路と流通可能に接続された圧力監視チューブと、
それぞれのチューブの遠位端と流通可能に接続された導管を画定する排気ポートと、
前記排気ポートに取り付けられ、前記導管と流通可能に接続された排気チューブと、
前記通路と流通可能に接続されたインターフェイス部を備え、患者の鼻孔と流通可能に接続されるように構成されている患者インターフェイス部と、
をさらに備えている請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記生成器本体は、
排気導管を形成している排気ポートと、
前記それぞれのノズル、前記第1および第2のチューブのそれぞれの遠位部、ならびに前記遠位部に流通可能に接続されたチャンバを形成しているジェット本体と、
前記排気ポートと前記ジェット本体との間に組み付けられ、供給ポートを形成しているマニホールドカバーと、
前記第1および第2のチューブのそれぞれの近位部を形成しているインターフェイスプレートと、を備えており、
前記インターフェイスプレートは、対応する前記チューブ遠位部および前記チューブ近位部が前記第1および第2のチューブを形成すべく互いに流通可能につながるように、前記ジェット本体へと組み付けられ、
最終的な組み立てにより、前記供給ポートは前記ノズルと流通可能につながり、前記チャンバは前記排気導管と流通可能につながっている請求項1に記載の装置。 - 患者側および排気側を画定するとともに、第1および第2の流体流通回路を形成している生成器本体と、流体供給源と、排気チューブとを有している経鼻持続気道陽圧(nCPAP)システムであって、
前記第1および第2の流体流通回路の各々は、
患者側へと開いている近位端と、排気側へと開いている遠位端と、軸方向の中心線とによって画定される通路を形成しているチューブと、前記チューブに組み合わせられた第1および第2のノズルと、を備えており、
前記第1および第2のノズルの各々は、流体供給源へと開いている入口端と、当該通路へと開いて入口端の径に比べて小さい径を備える出口端とによって画定される流路を形成するとともに、
各ノズルは、前記出口端から流れの方向の軸に沿って流体のジェット気流を発するように構成され、
前記第1および第2の流体流通回路それぞれにおいて、当該第1および第2のノズルの前記流れの方向の軸は、互いに対して非平行であるとともに、前記通路の軸方向の中心線に対しても非平行であり、
前記流体供給源は、各ノズルの入口端に流通可能に接続され、
前記排気チューブは、前記通路の遠位端にそれぞれ流通可能に接続され、
前記システムは、前記生成器本体を患者の鼻孔に固定することにより、流体を前記流体供給源から前記ノズルへと供給し、前記ノズルから二次流体ジェット気流を発し、前記二次流体ジェット気流を混ぜ合わせることによって、それぞれの通路内に主流体ジェット気流を生成することにより、患者において持続気道陽圧を生成するように構成されており、
動作の吸気段階においては、各主流体ジェット気流は患者の鼻孔に向かって連続的に流れ、動作の呼気段階においては、患者の鼻孔から吐き出された空気によって、吐き出された空気が容易に前記チューブを通って前記排気チューブへと流れるように、前記ジェット気流を中断することを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記チューブの各々は、前記それぞれのノズルから延びる中間領域と、前記中間領域から前記近位端へと延びる近位領域を含んでおり、前記中間領域は、前記近位領域の内径に比べて大きくされた内径を有する請求項11に記載のシステム。
