を含んでなり、各層が約−40〜約0℃の範囲内のTg、および20℃で約2×106〜約1013ポアズのゼロ剪断粘度を有する高粘度ポリマーで被覆される、多軸布帛が提供される。
第1の方向に実質的に平行である複数の第1の糸を含んでなる第1の層、
第2の方向に実質的に平行で第1の糸に対して斜行しまたは片寄っている複数の第2の糸を含んでなる第2の層、および
層内で横断的に交絡し層をまとめる横断糸
を含んでなり、各層が約−40〜約0℃の範囲内であるTg、および20℃で約2×106〜約1013ポアズのゼロ剪断粘度を有する高粘度ポリマーで被覆される、多軸布帛に関する。
比較例1では、E.I.デュポン・ドゥ・ヌムール・アンド・カンパニー(E.I.du Pont de Nemours and Company)から登録商標ケブラー(Kevlar)(登録商標)129の下に入手できる、フィラメントあたり線密度が1.66dtexである、930dtexの高引張り強さポリ(p−フェニレンテレフタルアミド)連続フィラメント糸から多軸布帛の層が作られる。布帛の各層は、異なる角度で配列され、低デニールおよび低引張り強さのループ形成ポリエチレン糸の組によって共に結合される、1インチあたり18末端の4組の平行糸で構築される。各多軸布帛層の面密度は約0.27kg/m2である。多軸布帛で使用される4組の糸の引張り強さは24.3グラム/dtexであり、繊維密度は1.44グラム/cm3である。多軸布帛層は安定性が良くない。多軸布帛層中の糸は、鋭器の貫通によって歪んで押しのけられる。約15”×15”サイズの17層の多軸布帛を縁周辺で縫い合わせて、千鳥掛けして総面密度約4.6kg/m2の複合構造を形成する。次にレベルIIのためのNIJ防弾基準0101.04による357マグナム銃弾に対して、アセンブリーを防弾V50および背面変形の双方について試験する。結果、特に実施例の複合構造の背面変形は、布帛層の低い構造安定性のために不良であることが予期される。
本発明の実施例1では、E.I.デュポン・ドゥ・ヌムール・アンド・カンパニー(E.I.du Pont de Nemours and Company)から登録商標ケブラー(Kevlar)(登録商標)129の下に入手できる、フィラメントあたり線密度が1.66dtexである、930dtexの高引張り強さポリ(p−フェニレンテレフタルアミド)連続フィラメント糸から多軸布帛の層が作られる。布帛の各層は、異なる角度で配列され、低デニールおよび低引張り強さのループ形成ポリエチレン糸の組によって共に結合される、1インチあたり18末端の4組の平行糸で構築される。各多軸布帛層の面密度は約0.27kg/m2である。多軸布帛で使用される4組の糸の引張り強さは24.3グラム/dtexであり、繊維密度は1.44グラム/cm3である。−40℃〜約10℃の範囲内のTgを有して、20℃におけるゼロ剪断溶融粘度が2×106〜約1013ポアズであり、分子量が約20,000〜100,000である、約5重量%の高粘度ポリマーで、多軸布帛層をさらに被覆する。被覆された各多軸布帛層の面密度は、約0.284kg/m2である。本発明の多軸布帛層の構造安定性は、非常に良好である。

第2の方向に実質的に平行で第1の糸に対して斜行しまたは片寄っている複数の第2の糸を含んでなる第2の層、および
層内で横断的に交絡し層をまとめる横断糸
を含んでなり、各層が約−40〜約0℃の範囲内のTg、および20℃で約2×10 6 〜約10 13 ポアズのゼロ剪断粘度を有する高粘度ポリマーで被覆される多軸布帛。
2.少なくとも1つの複数の糸がアラミド繊維を含んでなる上記1に記載の布帛。
3.少なくとも1つの複数の糸がポリビスピリダゾール繊維を含んでなる上記1に記載の布帛。
4.ポリビスピリダゾールがポリ[2,6−ジイミダゾ[4,5−b:4,5−e]−ピリジニレン−1,4(2,5−ジヒドロキシ)フェニレン)である上記3に記載の布帛。
5.高粘度ポリマーが、1つもしくはそれ以上のシアノアクリレート接着剤、ウレタン接着剤、脂肪族アミンエポキシ樹脂、芳香族アミンエポキシ樹脂、ポリ(ビニルプロピオネート)、ポリ(ヘキシルメタクリレート)、ポリ(イソプロピルアクリレート)、およびエチレン/メチルアクリレート共重合体である上記1に記載の布帛。
6.高粘度ポリマーが、1つもしくはそれ以上のシアノアクリレート接着剤、ウレタン接着剤、脂肪族アミンエポキシ樹脂、芳香族アミンエポキシ樹脂、ポリ(ビニルプロピオネート)、ポリ(ヘキシルメタクリレート)、ポリ(イソプロピルアクリレート)、およびエチレン/メチルアクリレート共重合体である上記4に記載の布帛。
7.横断糸が、ポリエステル、ポリエチレン、ポリアミド、アラミド、ポリアレーンアゾール、ポリピリダゾール、またはポリピリドビスイミダゾールの繊維を含んでなる上記1に記載の布帛。
8.第3の方向に実質的に平行で第1の糸および第2の糸に対して斜行しまたは片寄っている複数の第3の糸を含んでなる第3の糸層をさらに含んでなる上記1に記載の布帛。
9.少なくとも1つの複数の糸がアラミド繊維を含んでなる上記8に記載の布帛。
10.少なくとも1つの複数の糸がポリビスピリダゾール繊維を含んでなる上記8に記載の布帛。
11.ポリビスピリダゾールがポリ[2,6−ジイミダゾ[4,5−b:4,5−e]−ピリジニレン−1,4(2,5−ジヒドロキシ)フェニレン)である上記10に記載の布帛。
12.高粘度ポリマーが、1つもしくはそれ以上のシアノアクリレート接着剤、ウレタン接着剤、脂肪族アミンエポキシ樹脂、芳香族アミンエポキシ樹脂、ポリ(ビニルプロピオネート)、ポリ(ヘキシルメタクリレート)、ポリ(イソプロピルアクリレート)、およびエチレン/メチルアクリレート共重合体である上記8に記載の布帛。
13.第4の方向に実質的に平行で、第1、第2、および第3の糸に対して斜行しまたは片寄っている複数の第4の糸を含んでなる第4の糸層をさらに含んでなる上記8に記載の布帛。
14.少なくとも1つの複数の糸がアラミド繊維を含んでなる上記13に記載の布帛。
15.少なくとも1つの複数の糸がポリビスピリダゾール繊維を含んでなる上記13に記載の布帛。
16.ポリビスピリダゾールがポリ[2,6−ジイミダゾ[4,5−b:4,5−e]−ピリジニレン−1,4(2,5−ジヒドロキシ)フェニレン)である上記15に記載の布帛。
17.高粘度ポリマーが、1つもしくはそれ以上のシアノアクリレート接着剤、ウレタン接着剤、脂肪族アミンエポキシ樹脂、芳香族アミンエポキシ樹脂、ポリ(ビニルプロピオネート)、ポリ(ヘキシルメタクリレート)、ポリ(イソプロピルアクリレート)、およびエチレン/メチルアクリレート共重合体である上記13に記載の布帛。
18.上記1に記載の布帛を含んでなる被服。
19.上記1に記載の布帛を含んでなる物品。
20.第1の方向に実質的に平行である複数の第1の糸を含んでなる第1の層と、第2の方向に実質的に平行で第1の糸に対して斜行しまたは片寄っている複数の第2の糸を含んでなる第2の層とを接触させるステップと、
糸を層に横断的に交絡して多軸布帛を形成するステップと
を含んでなり、各層が約−40〜約0℃の範囲内のTg、および20℃で約2×10 6 〜約10 13 ポアズのゼロ剪断粘度を有する高粘度ポリマーで被覆される布帛の製造方法。
Claims (4)
- 第1の方向に実質的に平行である複数の第1の糸を含んでなる第1の層、
第2の方向に実質的に平行で第1の糸に対して斜行している複数の第2の糸を含んでなる第2の層、および
層内で横断的に交絡し層をまとめる横断糸
を含んでなり、各層が約−40〜約0℃の範囲内のTg、および20℃で約2×106〜約1013ポアズのゼロ剪断粘度を有する高粘度ポリマーで被覆され、前記高粘度ポリマーが、1つもしくはそれ以上のシアノアクリレート接着剤、ウレタン接着剤、脂肪族アミンエポキシ樹脂、芳香族アミンエポキシ樹脂、ポリ(ビニルプロピオネート)、ポリ(ヘキシルメタクリレート)、ポリ(イソプロピルアクリレート)、およびエチレン/メチルアクリレート共重合体を含んでなる多軸布帛。 - 請求項1に記載の布帛を含んでなる被服。
- 請求項1に記載の布帛を含んでなる物品。
- 第1の方向に実質的に平行である複数の第1の糸を含んでなる第1の層と、第2の方向に実質的に平行で第1の糸に対して斜行している複数の第2の糸を含んでなる第2の層とを接触させるステップと、
