Description
(a)両管要素の端部を両管継手セグメントの間に位置決めする工程と、
(b)両管継手セグメントを管要素に向かい互いに接近する方向に引き寄せる工程と、
(c)両管継手セグメント第1の軸を中心にシールに対して回動させ、空洞をシールとほぼ平行に配向させる工程と
からなる。
連結されている管要素の縦軸に対して実質的に垂直な軸70周りで互いに相対的に反対方向で回転させる。接続部材72,74は、継手セグメント52の反対側の終端に配置される。この例において、接続部材は、管要素にわたって2つの継手セグメントを接続するためのボルトおよびナットといった締め付け具を受け入れるように適応される開口部76を有するラグを備える。
Claims (10)
- 一対の管要素を、互いに対向する端部において固定する方法であって、
内周面に沿って延び、かつ両端間に延びる第2の軸に直交する第1の軸を中心とする回動軌跡上の位置に配向するように角度をなし、さらには第1の軸及び第2の軸を含む平面を画定するシールを収容する空洞をそれぞれが備える一対の管継手セグメントにて構成される管継手を使用する工程と、
前記一対の管要素の互いに対向する部分を両管継手セグメント間に位置決めする工程と、
両管継手セグメントを管要素に向かい互いに接近する方向に引き寄せる工程と、
管継手セグメントを互いに接近する方向へ引っ張って前記配管要素の外面と嵌合させる工程と、
前記管継手セグメントを第1の軸を中心にシールに対して回動させ、空洞をシールとほぼ平行に配向させる工程とを含む方法。 - 両管継手セグメントを互いに反対の方向に回動させる工程を有する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記位置決めする工程は、管継手セグメントが互いの端部同士が対向して離間した状態で連結されているときに、両管要素の端部を管継手セグメント間に挿入する工程を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 両管継手セグメントを互いに接近する方向へ引き寄せる工程は、管継手セグメントの両端に配置した接続部材を締める工程を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記管継手セグメントを回動させる工程は、管継手セグメントの端部に設けた角度をなす面を互いに摺動するように接触させる工程を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 管継手を一対の管継手セグメントにより構成し、各管継手セグメントは同管継手セグメントの内周面に沿って延び、かつ管継手セグメントの両端間に延びる第2の軸に直交する第1の軸を中心とする回動軌跡上の位置に配向するように角度をなし、さらには第1の軸及び第2の軸を含む平面を画定するシールを収容する空洞を備えており、同管継手により一対の管要素を、互いに対向する端部において固定する方法であって、
前記一対の管要素の互いに対向する部分を両管継手セグメント間に位置決めする工程と、
両管継手セグメントを管要素に向かい互いに接近する方向に引き寄せる工程と、
管継手セグメントを互いに接近する方向へ引っ張って前記配管要素の外面と嵌合させる工程と、
前記管継手セグメントを第1の軸を中心にシールに対して回動させ、空洞をシールとほぼ平行に配向させる工程とを含む方法。 - 両管継手セグメントを互いに反対の方向に回動させる工程を有する請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記位置決めする工程は、管継手セグメントが互いの端部同士が対向して離間した状態で連結されているときに、両管要素の端部を管継手セグメント間に挿入する工程を含む請求項6に記載の方法。
- 両管継手セグメントを互いに接近する方向へ引き寄せる工程は、管継手セグメントの両端に配置した接続部材を締める工程を含む請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記管継手セグメントを回動させる工程は、管継手セグメントの端部に設けた角度をなす面を互いに摺動するように接触させる工程を含む請求項6に記載の方法。
